I can't wait! I actually started dotting last year even though I haven't tried one of your big canvases, I love watching your tutorials💕 you got me started and now I'm trying to find some pebeo paints here in South Africa because I would love try them out for myself. Thank you for sharing🥺💖🥺💖🥺💖🥺
... and the vote from Lincoln England is ...... wait for it, wait for it ... #3 Bluish :) I think it makes both the gold and the blue crossinesses stand out nicely. I love your idea of Pebeo centre dots, pure genius and they would also look fabulous as focal points on rock mandalas. When Pebeo brought out that range it was on special offer for yonks so I snapped up quite a few of them, many of which have been patiently waiting for a great and wonderful application and this is most definitely it. Thank you Rachel :)
I just rewatched this because I remembered all the mandalas you showed at the beginning of this video. I was looking for some color inspiration. You have a great eye for color and I would be very interested in learning about how you pull together a color pallet. Maybe it’s just intuitive, but maybe you’ve had to really think about it.
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel--you have such a knack for combining the most brilliant colors for maximum effect! The large mandala is spectacular!! All three of the configurations work and give the mandala a different feel. However, I think #3 (the bluish one) adds a more vibrant sparkle to the overall design. Thanks for these videos! I've just purchased more supplies from you and your videos have finally given me the confidence and comfort level to begin. For that I am forever grateful. :)
You are so welcome! I went with the blue one in the end. Thanks for watching my videos! I make them for artists like you. Dotting is such a rewarding hobby, I want to share it with people.
@@TheDottingCenter so I have some of your stuff in my cart online. There reversible stencils, the pencil and the PDF to download to practice with. Can you let me know if these are a good start or do you recommend something else. I already have my dotting tools. Thanks 🥰
Yes, those are all great 👍 They will all meet you at your level so you can use the stencils for beginner designs up to advanced. You can decide how detailed your painting will be. The stencils just keep everything symmetrical and balanced 😊
@@TheDottingCenter thank you!! I didn't know about stencils when I started and was getting so frustrated that they weren't turning out well. That's when I came across your channel. I appreciate your help and will continue watching the videos.
I've been searching for a video like this one regarding using pebeo on canvas. Absolutely brilliant to make them separately in case of mismatches or mistakes. THANK YOU for this video! By the way, I can't decide between the gold or the blue one. This mandala is breathtaking!
Oh Rachel, thank you for making this video. I'll have to give these a try now. They are all gorgeous but I liked #1 and #3 . I can't wait for your next video 😄
Yay!, I was waiting for this and you did not disappoint. I love this paint and can’t wait to make some buttons! Thanks for sharing your method. You’re the dude!
Great video, thank you for sharing. I recently bought a set of those paints, I'm looking forward to using them. I like all of them but I prefer #3 for this piece
#2 it adds a vibrancy to the outer work while keeping the center still intact. It will look good from a distance by adding a mystery look, getting people attracted towards the painting.
Just found your channel! Love your work! I've been doing similar for years, it's madness how alike some of our things are! I'm not online with it yet it's all still in my craft room! Loved that centre disclosure!
I agree with another comment posted, but I'm asking for a tutorial for all of the mandals you showed in this video 😊 And thank you for sharing these buttons with us! Once I begin actually sitting down and starting to paint (still collecting tools and paint etc) I would like to eventually be able to paint one of these bigger pieces and utilize one of these little buttons myself I like them all, so I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
My goal is a new video every Saturday so we’re definitely going to get into some mandalas soon 😊 Thanks for watching! You’ll love painting big canvases.
@@TheDottingCenter Very much looking forward to it! (Both your videos and one day working on a large piece...especially if they turn out 1/4 as beautiful as yours!)
I like them all but probably the blue one was best. I love the design. I think I've purchased all of your products and I dont think I would be able to do a 16x16 canvass. I'd love to see the pattern.
not sure if you look back at these , but wanted to know what the netting thing you put the paint on is? Thank you in advance. I just found your channel and I think I am going to love it
That's a silpat mat. They use it for baking cookies. It's a reusable non-stick mat. The only thing is once it's used for art it can't be used for cooking, but I make a heckuva lot more art than cookies... thankfully lol
Thanks for this! I just got my primse paints. So I have a question. In Theory, couldn’t one take some thing that is around and flat (some thing like a large golden/ silver O ring,) let the prisme set and then remove it from that sheet and glue that to your painted piece or your stone. Also, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the resin just seal it up and make it super shiny? I don’t have resin yet. I can get it in pretty soon but I know that there’s lots of stuff I can do with these paints without it. Is the resin necessary if you don’t plan on using it elsewhere on your piece? Yesterday I took a huge scalloped jump ring and stuck a little superglue on the bottom and then onto a piece of paper and then I filled it up with the prisme and it did it’s job but it obviously isn’t sealed. Does this Paint NEED something as thick as resin to seal or could I spray several light coats? Sorry for all the questions. I really appreciate you making this video because I’ve got 18 of these colors now. Six of them are the moon fantasy ones. I got those on accident but then I went back for the prisme. I’m sure I’ll be want to watch this video and about a week after I get that baking mat.
Good news! You can mix the moon and fantasy paints together. They’re both fun to play with. You don’t need to seal them, but the dried paint isn’t hard it’s more flexible plastic. I have noticed that sometimes the color can be darkened by adding resin which isn’t great. That doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s just something to note. You can always just use varnish or nothing at all. You’re call. Have fun experimenting! 💕
@@TheDottingCenter thanks so much for your feedback. Yes, I’ve noticed it sets softer than other paints but I think sealing should take care of it. I found some really nice thick O rings in different colors just on Amazon. I am pretty sure that they are perfect for what I would like to do. I just have to check that it’s going to definitely work. I’m not exactly sure what kind of glue is best for applying metal to either a stone, wood, canvas etc. E 6000 might work and it also might not. We will see. And yes, I’ve been watching these videos that show you all the cool things you can do with these paints. They’re just gorgeous! Have a nice day!
My vote is for the Blueish coin. But the Gold is also lovely. Love your tutorials . Thank you, Gail
Blue won! Thanks for watching : )
The bluish one! 😍 #3 so gorgeous! That big beautiful mandala is STUNNING!! 👏
Thank you so much Ali! I think the blue one won it! 💙💙💙
The blue. So pretty.
Yes! I went with the blue one. ✨
I like the bluish one.
#3 makes the whole piece look more vibrant. Very nice work!
Thank you so much 😊🙏💖
Blueish is my pick. Love your work💞
Thank you so much 😊
Love the darker blue one
I went with the blue 💙
I love making these buttons, and have added Millefiori glass beads to the centre of the button, with resin on top 😀
Great tip! Wow I bet that looks amazing!
Bluish most definitely!!
yes! I went with the blue one. 😊
This is amazing.
I vote for the bluish one! Hi Rachel, would love to see a tutorial from your mandala walla💖 it's been a while

never thought i'd hear a big lebowski quote in a dotting video.
love your videos, thanks for sharing!
Lebowski and dotting videos overlapping is a little odd. 😂 Thanks for watching 💖

Well that was fun! Totally doing this. And I loved the drama of the last one, the bluish one. The gold one was a classic.
The blue one won for sure! 💙✨👍
They all look nice, but I think #3 looks the best. Those paints are very cool. Happy Easter and have a blessed weekend.
Happy Easter to you too! 🐰🐣💖
