A few people have asked this, not really, I’m super protective of my bags when out and about. I guess it would depend on the person and where you were going.
It’s def slightly heavier than other bags I have of that size. The structure is firm ( which I like) And was the look I was going for. I suggest getting a different leather that’s more flexible if you want it to be more bendable. ( if that makes sense )

The lock is wrapped with a small pocket at the face of the bag

So helpful the sizing the only annoying thing about the bag is the security the fact the whole bag is open and everything can fall out
Yes you would need to be careful with his bag. Also you could get a small bag organizer to keep things in place inside
