- This is part 1 of an occasional series on servicing the 1980 - 1985 Suzuki GS or GSX 1100 and 1000 motorcycles. This video covers the servicing of the steering head and forks for the Katana sports bike (GS1100S; GS1000S; GS750S or GSX1100S; GSX1000S and GSX750S) and the street bike (GS1100E or GSX1100E). Measurements for fork oil volume and steering head torque values relate specifically to the Katana used in the video. Viewers should consult the manual as to the specific measurements for their own model rather than use the ones stated here.
