John your the best. I have leaned so much from you. I never dance before but you have made this so much fun to lean. I just turned 50 years old this year and I'm having so much fun leaning the dance moves from you. I wave took me some time to get it but after 5 weeks I have it. Now my wife and I go out dancing all the time it's changed our lives for the better.

The elbow/paint bucket position is the hardest part. That doesn't feel good yet. I feel like my shoulder already goes up when my elbow goes up. Really nice break down, thank you!

Yes, exactly. I wanted to develop some skills, doesn't matter if they are small or large. I especially like shuffle dancing but I didn't perfect with the basic moves and this is the only channel so far who explains everything clearly and inspires me to do something new. Its amazing.
When I did every position you did for the first time IT WAS SO COOL IN THE MIRROR WHEN I DID IT BUT I HAVE WEAK STAMINA AND MY MUSCLES WERE TIRED BUT EVEN THOUGH THOUGHT IT EOULD BE HARDER BUT THAT WSS WSY TO EASY

It's hard to keep the shoulder down when lifting the elbow.
yeah right..I just did it like 5-8 mins I guess and I cant keep my shoulder down it really pains..and also that next step which is lifting one shoulder and dropping the other..that I really cant do that it is just so painful
Ikrrr!!! It ends up buffering and confusing me and my poor brain and arm
But I'm getting better at it now but my elbow isn't in 90°. It isn't necessary for it to be 90° right?

He is such an incredible teacher. I showed the video to a friend of mine and they said that they met him at a cypher once and that he is indeed awesome. I remember when I was a kid maybe 6 or so? My mom would always do this wave dance in front of us. When you do started doing the wave, it just hit me haha she was the best and thanks to you I can finally learn this myself like my momma! 😊😊

Well I'm 47 years old and I'm mexican ...but I love this dance!!! I'm a dancer as well but I dance regional dance you know? Mexican dance with mariachis and everything...hope you guys seen it...but the point is this kind of moves are awesome!!! And I'm gonna practice!!! Saludos desde México!!!

Though I am pretty lithe for my age, I enjoy the fitness it brings and the more I do, the better I feel! I like many types of dance, but interpret in my own way which becomes a freestyle! I like Adventure of a lifetime - Coldplay, love to move the old bones to this! Thanks for asking!😃
