Have been a TH13 for few months, rushed from TH11 to 13 so skipped a lot of upgrades on TH12 and I am still currently upgrading defenses to their allowed max levels (already done with Eagle Artillery, Scattershots, inferno towers and currently on X-bows) and Heroes, walls half lvl 13 half lvl 14, (I grind a lot), offensive buildings and storages were the first buildings to upgrade to max
Just a quick reminder that rushing is A LOT more effective than maxing. Firstly upgrade offense ofc and if you also upgrade core defences, with a good base (not just some popular anti 2) it's gonna be hard to 3 or 2 star you. Even in clan wars and especially CWL strategic rusher is has insane advantages
@@Razgris anti 2 are a lot easier to 3 star or even 2 star than anti 3. Blimp - easy insane value against anti 2 and easy to 3 star. Also e-drag spammers don't know how to attack anti 3, so they often get 1 star on it
My strategy for hero equipment is just upgrading the epic to 18 or TH max, then start upgrading the better of the two original equipments since those levels are highest, e.g. eternal tome before life gem, I think this is the safest route to take as the abilities are battle tested and they're unlikely to receive nerfs. Meanwhile the epic equipment or so good you might as well use them while you can
All my common hero equipment is maxed or level 9 at th10. Working on frozen arrow and giant gauntlet which are both barely level 11. I found the most efficient way to level is to have heroes upgrading at all times so you don't waste builder time. If you attack the moment a war starts and instantly start upgrading your heroes you'll have them by the end of the next war and if not you can gem the last 1-4 hours. Worst case scenario is you attack lower when you're missing heroes, I play two accounts so I alternate that way I always take the same 4 slots in war and I alternate between one that has heroes and one that doesn't.
100% agree. Hero equipment. I just think its too much work for it. You officially will never max your heroes unless you pay. 😢 When they released hero equipment, I thought, how many players will leave, and will I. But CoC has Clan Capital and that is the best part
Since th13 I'm using hyder army(dragon and dragon rider) belive me it rips apart bases like butter, even i have upgraded to th15 right still rocking hydra for now and root rider(btw im free2play player) 😊
Today is my 100th day at TH 13 and yes I rushed a little bit to save up that dark elixir that I dumped on RC as soon as I could. I am almost maxed out, and I'm planning to upgrade my TH on 15th May. According to Clash Ninja I am over 90% on everything but structures (82%) and equipment (37%) but I am only maxing 2 equipment per hero and I am waiting for TH 14 to get hog puppet and haste vile to upgrade for my RC. I hope to be TH 14 soon.
The epic equipment are absolutely worth it, say if the giant gauntlet somehow gets an absurd nerf, vampscyte + earthquake boots would be the best to max For the queen frozen arrow will always be the way with invis/puppet If you're naturally good at attacking like OG clash you can definitely get invis and puppet For RC at th13 especially I would max out her equipment as it's super op when you do The first thing for warden equipment to max is the eternal tomb, then the healing aura and rage aura to be able to do lalo and hybrid as it's two of the best strats rn in any townhall healing tomb is also good but not as good when doing lalo, hybrid I'd still rather use life gem it's more like if the og things work, just upgrade it to max then everything else is after thought for warden. So priority for king is, rage + gauntlet queen, puppet + invis for sui and invis + frozen for qc warden, eternal tomb + life gem rc, common equipment for 14 though the rc definitely works better with the haste vial

I created new account on 14 ovember 2023 and i maxed th11 few days ago. If i compare to my main account it took me 6 years to max th15 from the day i started playing. So yeah coc has become easy nowadays😀😀
This is what I got done on my first 50 days at th13, Got 3 morters maxed (the last one is gettin maxed) Got all the bombs maxed. Almost all the black air bombs maxed(one left) Town hall is goin to level 5(it's weapon that is.) Got an air defense maxed. Got 1 level on the workshop. Gettin 1 level on an archer tower. And now for the better ones, Got all the storages maxed. Got all the walls maxed. Got the lab, cc maxed. Got all the army camps maxed. Got the archer queen maxed. Got the King to 1 level up. Put the RC for level 15th. GW is down for level 48. Got all the inferno towers maxed. Got the eagle artillery maxed. Got 1 scatter shot maxed(another at level 1 RN) Spell factory on upgrade. For the lab upgrades, Giant currently upgrading, after that pekka,wall breaker,jump spell, poison spell, skeleton spell,minion, Valkyrie,golem,bowlers,head hunters, app warden,drag rider and all the new siege levels are all that remains(others are maxed) Yeah that's about it on the first 50 days.
This is my main problem with the game I stopped playing at a town hall 9 around 5 years ago. Now I came back and was having fun with the grind, but I am realizing more and more that if I grind every day for the next 4 years I wouldn’t even be completely done . Not to mention that everything keeps changing and they keep adding more and more so what’s the point. It just seems pointless to try and grind for a goal when they are just going to move the finish line every time you take a step. Also I know it would take away some of the accomplishments of people who have grinded but 6 day wait times at th10 when they added 6 more levels… just seems arbitrary
Dude ice fishing sucked so much here in Quebec this year. One of my buddies went through the ice and luckily got out safely but man this is the most shitty hardwater season I've known in ten years. All the more reasons to stay at home to play CoC ^^
well in regards to equipment the strategy would be to focus on 1 equipment at a time like a priority list. So in my opinion the top priority is eternal tome get it to max for your level. Then focus on gauntlet till max for your level or like level 21 or 23( i think that is where the returns start to drop off when compared to costs) Then focus on your invis vial for queen followed by royal gem for rc. once you have 1 equipment maxed for each of your heroes work on the second. This second equipement for the heroes is mostly dependent on strategies. Even then i would prioritize the wardens second equipment as he is the most important hero in an attack. So if you are going with an army with high hp and a lot of spell support or qc hybrid then go with the healing tome. if you are going with the lalo then go with the life gem. if you are going for a spam attack with minimal to no spell support then go with rage gem. Once that is done your next prio is probably the frozen arrow for the queen it is the most versatile in all attacks and very helpful. Then go for the rage vial on the king it synergizes well with the giant gauntlet and then you go for the rcs equipment. TLDR: The priority for equipment would go: 1)Eternal tome 2) giant gauntlet (Only till level 21-23) 3) invis vial 4) royal gem 5) warden equipment based on which strategy you commonly use 6) frozen arrow(only till levl 21-23) 7) rage vial(king) 8) rcs equipment based on the strategy you want to use. PS: This is really only for townhalls 13 and below and you are newely unlocking equipment
If you could refund ores invested into hero equipment so you can try out different equipment, I feel that'd fix a lot of the grind and reduce the FOMO people would get about new equipment.

For most my bases i max the invis vial, rage vial(king) and eternal tome. After that i evenly upgrade the 2 epic equipment and warden gem of choice. I feel like invis vial and eternal tome will almost always be the best unless we go around to another set of epic equipment for king and queen. So i max invis vial and eternal tome for the respective th which really isnt a grind at all compared to the time to max that th. And use all spare on epic equipment (+ a gem of choice on warden). For accounts with RC i havent really gotten to yet since im still working on the other equipments, but for accounts that already followed my upgrade strat and then unlock RC, i would do the same for life gem.
Just upgrade heroes first and don't wait for small upgrades before upgrading townhall, that's very inefficient and just a waste of time & resources. The bare minimum to move to the next town hall is to have max offense, including troops you're gonna use for the next TH. After that if you need good defence just upgrade some most of important things like scattershots, eagle, infernos. If you just go for full max before upgrading townhall as f2p you'll NEVER reach max townhall, especially since now new TH is gonna be added every 12 months
for me atleast (a townhall 12) i think there's only 8 eq u should upgrade. and this not include the Royal Champion eq because i haven't unlock her yet. For the king i think u should prioritized: Giant Gauntlet and Vampstache, this eq is really good for funneling since the king will get so much DPS and Healing Per Second which will make him long lasting in a battle, he can clear the outside base without even losing any HP if u already maxed the vampstache. But if u're using a hero dive i think u should consider upgrading Rage Vial too, since the king would get more damage and speed so he can take as much building as possible before he dies. for the queen i would suggest: Invisibility Vial and Frozen Arrow. since queen walk and queen charge is still viable untill now, and queen walk and charge needs a ton of DPS this will help her to take so many building while still being alive, and don't forget about how she can slow down so many building with frozen arrow, it also fits in so many tactics such as hybrid miner hog, lalo, bowler smash etc etc. but also u should consider upgrading the Giant Arrow for dive hero, especially if u're using mass edrag, one Giant Arrow + 1 lightning would take out an air defense, or add 1 more lightning and it will take out an inferno too, so u should consider it if u're using mass edrag or mass dragon and prioritize it over the Frozen Arrow. For the warden i would suggest : Eternal Tome and Rage Tome. for eternal tome i would only suggest u to take it to level 12, since the level 18 only gave u like 1 seconds more than the level 12, it's not worth the amount of ores u we're using, but for the rage tome, it's a great eq in so many tactics, u can use it in a pekka smash, bowler smash, lalo, mass edrag, edrag and balloon, miner hog hybrid, and so many more, so it's really a versatile item. But u should save some ores for the healing tome too, it has so much value for a lot of strategy, but u won't unlock it till TH 13 so save some ores. that's it for me
oh wait not yet, here's also a little tip: for townhall 10 and below i would suggest u to hold the Frozen Arrow, and prioritize the Giant Arrow first since the Giant Arrow gave u much more value in the battle rather than the Frozen arrow, since QW is not that good in townhall 10 and bellow, and let's be real, there's only a small amount of people who are using qw in TH 10 and below, they'll prefer using mass dragon with balloon or even PEKKA Bowler Bats smash attack, and also for TH 10 and below make sure u save at least 10k of blue ores to upgrade the eternal tome as high as possible, cause the eternal tome is the only eq that u would use in every single attack.
The first time disocunt is a little buggy for me: it is offered to me on my main account (where I already bought 8 or 9 Gold Passes - not sure excatcly how many), on my secondary account (didn't buy one there so far, so that checks out), but not on my third account / rush base (where I have also never bought it)
It's been quiet sometimes, for equipment it can be varying depending on the person way of playing + favorite army & and oven used army, for the way how I always use my king most of the time his og skills since I just need him to clear the outside building or to run outside the ring, for my queen here where it become more difficult, the invisible vial is essential, archer puppet / gaint arrow & frozen arrow secondary bases on how I plan, warden easy eternal tome is essential with life gem ( can be replaced with rage gem) RC I don't have her yet usually I will use her original skill and the hog puppet, I usually use QC mass miner, hyper, lavaloon, I oftentimes use zap dragon, rarely use Pekka & yetti, at the end of the day what suit your play style will give you more value than the rest
hero equipment seems a bit op right now and hard to balance given some people at th13 are rocking lvl 8 equipment while others have them fully max via gemming/event bundles. i've heard it's even worse at higher TH levels. Really hope they rein it in cause f2p life keeps getting worse comparatively.
might be bad idea, but I could get to th13 rn if i wanted to. however i’m also planning on maxing the equipments out. the th12 hero grind is already annoying, and i do the heroes separately. never was a fan of grinding all that dark elixir for every hero
This is the first town hall where the first thing I max is all of the traps 😂 things are so much more expensive at th13 and my builders finish and I don’t have enough resources to use all of them so I have to upgrade traps and cannons a lot
Just escaped TH13 a week ago, maxed out everything, heroes, troops, spells, sieges, defences etc. On TH14 right now, the longer upgrade times are killing me😓😭
Its been 10 days since I arrived at th13 and I'm currently working on my offence first as you said On the lab I finished Hog and miner and heal spell and currently its upgrading healer On the hero equipment I finished eternal tome and vamstache and I'm currently trying to collect some ores for the healing tome
@@razor1x855 so there was a bug which you could have upgraded the RC equipment before you unlocked the hero I used this as an advantage and now the shield is 8 and the gem is 5 As for the hero, he is level 7 and I'm waiting for CWL to end so that I can continue upgrading her
I mean, its not like the game is going anywhere. And eventually people will max equipment and have nothing left to spend ores on. I highly doubt SC will be releasing equipment fast enough to keep players ALWAYS behind, but hey if its a good revenue source for them maybe they will. And if it becomes good enough, maybe they'll even look into actually letting us keep our heros while upgrading.

For hero equipment , I'm th 12 I have the king rage to 15 and vampstash 8 for the queen the invisibility 15 and frozen arrow to 5 kind skiped this one and fo the worden eternal totm 15 and rage gem 14 I focused on one main ability for each
They also NEED to separate the heros abilities . Nobody wants to use their kings rage the same time as their earthquake. or maybe i only want to use my queen long bow attack and save her invisibility.
First we were disappointed about updates not being released frequently..... But now the frequent updates are messing up the meta and making the gane boring
Th13 is really the last level where it’s possible to suffer through as a F2P player. Looking at 14 the times and costs are absolutely dismal especially for the lab.
In hindsight, it's sort of annoying that they had 2 levels for a lot of defenses at th13. really makes the building upgrades more tedious than they need to be. Thankfully later th's dont have this issue.

try get there a little earlier so you can upgrade pets, maybe when you have a max th13 army

Giant Gauntlet and Vampstache, this eq is really good for funneling since the king will get so much DPS and Healing Per Second which will make him long lasting in a battle, he can clear the outside base without even losing any HP if u already maxed the vampstache. But if u're using a hero dive i think u should consider upgrading Rage Vial too, since the king would get more damage and speed so he can take as much building as possible before he dies.
for the queen i would suggest: Invisibility Vial and Frozen Arrow.
since queen walk and queen charge is still viable untill now, and queen walk and charge needs a ton of DPS this will help her to take so many building while still being alive, and don't forget about how she can slow down so many building with frozen arrow, it also fits in so many tactics such as hybrid miner hog, lalo, bowler smash etc etc. but also u should consider upgrading the Giant Arrow for dive hero, especially if u're using mass edrag, one Giant Arrow + 1 lightning would take out an air defense, or add 1 more lightning and it will take out an inferno too, so u should consider it if u're using mass edrag or mass dragon and prioritize it over the Frozen Arrow.
For the warden i would suggest :
Eternal Tome and Rage Tome.
for eternal tome i would only suggest u to take it to level 12, since the level 18 only gave u like 1 seconds more than the level 12, it's not worth the amount of ores u we're using, but for the rage tome, it's a great eq in so many tactics, u can use it in a pekka smash, bowler smash, lalo, mass edrag, edrag and balloon, miner hog hybrid, and so many more, so it's really a versatile item. But u should save some ores for the healing tome too, it has so much value for a lot of strategy, but u won't unlock it till TH 13 so save some ores.

oh wait not yet, here's also a little tip:
for townhall 10 and below i would suggest u to hold the Frozen Arrow, and prioritize the Giant Arrow first since the Giant Arrow gave u much more value in the battle rather than the Frozen arrow, since QW is not that good in townhall 10 and bellow, and let's be real, there's only a small amount of people who are using qw in TH 10 and below, they'll prefer using mass dragon with balloon or even PEKKA Bowler Bats smash attack, and also for TH 10 and below make sure u save at least 10k of blue ores to upgrade the eternal tome as high as possible, cause the eternal tome is the only eq that u would use in every single attack.
Queen Invisibility vial and Warden Eternal tome will be a all timer...so we can safely upgrade these 2 atleast..then queen frozen arrow
The first time disocunt is a little buggy for me: it is offered to me on my main account (where I already bought 8 or 9 Gold Passes - not sure excatcly how many), on my secondary account (didn't buy one there so far, so that checks out), but not on my third account / rush base (where I have also never bought it)
It's been quiet sometimes, for equipment it can be varying depending on the person way of playing + favorite army & and oven used army, for the way how I always use my king most of the time his og skills since I just need him to clear the outside building or to run outside the ring, for my queen here where it become more difficult, the invisible vial is essential, archer puppet / gaint arrow & frozen arrow secondary bases on how I plan, warden easy eternal tome is essential with life gem ( can be replaced with rage gem) RC I don't have her yet usually I will use her original skill and the hog puppet, I usually use QC mass miner, hyper, lavaloon, I oftentimes use zap dragon, rarely use Pekka & yetti, at the end of the day what suit your play style will give you more value than the rest

hero equipment seems a bit op right now and hard to balance given some people at th13 are rocking lvl 8 equipment while others have them fully max via gemming/event bundles. i've heard it's even worse at higher TH levels. Really hope they rein it in cause f2p life keeps getting worse comparatively.

might be bad idea, but I could get to th13 rn if i wanted to. however i’m also planning on maxing the equipments out. the th12 hero grind is already annoying, and i do the heroes separately. never was a fan of grinding all that dark elixir for every hero
Since th12 and th13 hero equipment does not get new levels it's not a issue if you rush equipment to th13. Just you get 3 new equipment in th13 only.

This is the first town hall where the first thing I max is all of the traps 😂 things are so much more expensive at th13 and my builders finish and I don’t have enough resources to use all of them so I have to upgrade traps and cannons a lot

I used this as an advantage and now the shield is 8 and the gem is 5
As for the hero, he is level 7 and I'm waiting for CWL to end so that I can continue upgrading her

I mean, its not like the game is going anywhere. And eventually people will max equipment and have nothing left to spend ores on. I highly doubt SC will be releasing equipment fast enough to keep players ALWAYS behind, but hey if its a good revenue source for them maybe they will. And if it becomes good enough, maybe they'll even look into actually letting us keep our heros while upgrading.

Th13 is really the last level where it’s possible to suffer through as a F2P player. Looking at 14 the times and costs are absolutely dismal especially for the lab.

In hindsight, it's sort of annoying that they had 2 levels for a lot of defenses at th13. really makes the building upgrades more tedious than they need to be. Thankfully later th's dont have this issue.
