Joe Hisaishi - La Pioggia

This piece with a classical music style is a soundtrack made by Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi (久石譲) for the movie "Diary of Early Winter Shower" (時雨の記), and is included in Hisaishi's 2002 piano self-selection album, "Encore". The film was adapted from the 1977 novel of the same name by Japanese writer Tsuneko Nakazato (中里恒子) and was released in 1998. Director Shinichiro Sawai (澤井信一郎) and actress Sayuri Yoshinaga (吉永小百合) tell a modern love story that takes place in Kamakura, Kyoto and the Asuka Road in late fall.
