I’m a 90’s kid. So glad my parents raised me through the 80’s 90’S classics. I’ll never get sick of it. Will never adapt to the music these days. 2024 and this still hits💪🏾
These days music is horrible with no meaning you can understand the words. 70,80s,90s music is the best for ever. Everyone connected to it whether sad happy lonely or in love❤ in every area . 😊

I came across this beautiful reggae version accidentally and now I listen to it over and over again. What a shame we lose this type of music and people give rubbish music these days. Now I am in the 60's who always love the 80's music. Hats off to June lodge and to TOP POP.
Everything was so much better then, Pity we can't turn the clock back. We still have the beautiful music 🎶 of June Lodge to listen to .June carry on singing your songs for the good 👍 times
Who is listening December 8th 2024 after seeing JC Lodge on Instagram? Love her eyes and the way she look at me I met her at Immaculate High School fete back in the early 80s. Love her Cockney British accent
Wow. It gave me goosebumps to hear this song again. On vacation as a kid in 81 in Suriname we heard this song every day on every corner. More than a year later the song came to the netherlands and hits the charts. We were excited to hear it again en we’re proud to say to everyone that we knew the song already😂
I remember my parents loving this song, singing, laughing and dancing through our livingroom, both still so young and healthy. I’m sure that they are still dancing to this song somewhere out there ❤
R.I.P. Patrice Tan-A-Kiam (*1961 - +1992), and you did a truly great job here when you swiftly decided to mime to Prince Mohammed's vocals for this performance of June Lodge on TopPop in 1982. 🙂
I heard this on the Island of Moluccas near Papua New Guinea, as a Dutch citizen I was proud to hear this all across the other side of the world. I really miss those years
My mommy love this song to her core everytime she hears it she smiles a lot,if I have never said it out loud or on a platform I'm doing it now love you MOMSEL with all my heart, miss you a lot
this song was huge at the time, and that sound reverberated for many weeks through every speaker in every neighborhood. the version with tha toasting was King 👑 imho i didn't know about Patrice Tan's spontaneous stand-in good job indeed
