Edit: some people don’t know what underrated means. Leighton is an amazing actress. And Blair was the star of the show, not Serena. But Blake is still the most popular GG alum which makes Leighton the underrated one considering she’s hella good but Blake has become more mainstream.

Thaísa usually, people use sets because 1. It’s cheaper than having to rent something like a giant suite out everyday which they usually only use a few places of and 2. Because sometimes all of the equipment and people can’t fit in a house.

@@akshaynatu1084 their was a director that once said “Only nice girls can play mean girls” and it’s true a lot of nice actresses have portrayed mean characters very well despite being a sweetheart in real life like Leighton meester as Blair and Rachel Mcadams as Regina George. I think the rule kinda applies to men too. Kind of ironic really lol

I love how she highlights the fact she is a normal person in real life. she really wants to stress the fact that Blair is a fictional character and that’s not how a simple real person should be.
Actually, she is a very good actress because she had not such a glamourous life. Her life was far from perfect. Her mother gave birth to her while doing time, grew up living in 'dodgy rentals', her mom was a drug addict and tried to rip her off when she was famous. The actress and singer had reportedly been sending her unemployed mother $7,500 every month to help provide adequate care for her little brother, Lex. Instead of using the money on her brother, Meester accused her mom of blowing the monthly payment on "plastic surgery, Botox, and hair extensions. She was very poor so to play Blair so well I think was an amazing job.
