Months ago I had this song on repeat and every time I listened I bawled my eyes out. All I can say is things will get better even if I might not seem like it in the moment.
His voice is incredible. But some really ignorant comments in here saying he sounds Jamacian, he doesn't in the SLIGHTEST. Clearly some of you don't know any Jamacians.
How is it ignorant though. He has a beautiful Jamaican-like tonality to his voice and I am Jamaican how's that? His voice is incredible and unique that's all that matters. Black singers can sound Country, white singers can sound Soul..etc
the uk music scene has been majorly shaped by Caribbean influences ever since the Jamaican soundsystem culture blew up in the uk all the way back in the late 70's and 80's... generally if your a musician your style, flow and sound is based upon what you have experienced, what your parents listened to... etc etc . i think i speak for half of the uk when i say that most of us here have been influenced by Caribbean and jamaican styles in music and alot of us dont even know it! hes not trying to be Jamaican... hes being himself.
