One point I saw elsewhere was that Claude probably figured Kenji was going to turn on him sooner or later due to Cataline and Salvatore already doing that, suggesting that he may as well turn on him first.
I’m sure that he had loyalty to Catalina before she betrayed Claude. Left him for dead and nearly facing life in prison. But then he was given a second chance in Liberty city to work with the Leones only for the don to betray him. From that point on, he has no loyalty to anyone. Just money and revenge on Catalina. And if there’s any business that involves destroying the Colombian cartel and Catalina, then he would do it. And even a gang war that involves the yakuza and Colombian cartel. Plus even as a killer, Claude doesn’t like to feel insulted by Kenji. Even when he successfully did those jobs for him. Even if he had manners and politeness within. This never had Kenji pleased no matter what. Maybe it was Claude’s non Japanese appearance that made Kenji bully him and even Donald Love allowed the go ahead in creating a gang war, Claude was glad to kill Kenji for his personal bullying of him.
Claude is a pay for hire Goon (mercenary) he has no real ties to these gangs of ethnic descent if you think of it. He’s not Italian nor is he Colombian…etc. he is his own guy in liberty city, yakuza was “USING” Claude to do their dirty work just the same as Salvatore did and when they get what they want they would had became the enemies in the end . Claude doing all this is just natural reflex . To sum it all up , GTA 3 is a revenge story about a man whose mission it is , is to kill his ex gf and those who get in the way too.
It's commonly known that Claude betrays everyone he works with who doesn't betray him first, but this just isn't the case. Over the course of every single mission, he only betrays a single person: Kenji. And that's on Donald Love's orders. Beyond that one instance, all the betraying is done to Claude, and he leaves numerous mission chains either on friendly terms, or with something happening to the mission giver that renders them unable to have a further relationship. It's difficult to truly dislike Catalina, despite how treacherous she is and having flooded Liberty City with SPANK. Kenji Kasen, on the other hand, is a very unlikable and unthankful Jerkass who uses Claude as a scapegoat for his own gang's mistakes.
it's not about betray everyone... don't forget "All Gangs criminals had interest SPANK" (Catalina literally made Wanted poster to Claude for free SPANK) (except one gang remaining in 3rd island where you live last)(every gang makes friend to other gang) Salvatore Leone's last task was to sink ship full of Spank and conquer to mafia spank saving but C Cartel took it back and later betrayed Claude because he found out he was partner Catalina all long ago if Claude had spoken everything to S Leone it should make clearer but he was mute all times.
killing Kenji betrays more than him though. It's a betrayal of Asuka, Maria and the Yakuza as a whole. Killing Maria at the end is also a betrayal unless you are really harsh about Last Requests. He screws over CJ too but they were never friendly and it was likely Catalinas idea anyways. Claude reputation as a snake is largely unearned, like you say he mostly gets screwed and every protagonist screws over a few people. Tommy: Sonny (edge case, I know), Diaz CJ: ogloc, Loco Syndicate members, doing Tenpenny jobs after Toreno guarantees Sweets safety, Salvatore. Niko: Vlad, Pegorino (probably) GTA V: can't be bothered, Frank in the ending the other two all the time. I left out times when MC is forced, eg Playboy/Dwayne. Could have put in the McRearys for Blood Brothers tbh.
@PalladinPoker no it isn't, killing kenji had no effect on the gang and I don't see how it was completely betraying asuka, I doubt he killed maria. And I don't see how he screwed cj over, he actually gave cj something way better basically setting him up for life
I don't think there is loyalty and honour in that line of work. Also Kenji could have just as easily removed Claude if he proved to be an inconvenience. Things like betrayal happen when the prospect of something "better" comes along (money, power, status etc). Even in the legit business world when the opportunity of wealth profit etc comes along, you can be sure betrayal happens, friendships are broken etc. Claude got a better opportunity from a more powerful influential person and went with it. Just my opinion. Have a good day reader
With a series consisting with plenty of good/great main characters, I still love Claude with his ability to piss off every faction and putting a massive target on his back, like its nothing.
By the end of the game, the only thing left for Claude is to either leave Liberty City, or be killed by one of many factions in the city. Hindsight is 20-20 and the disappearance of Donald Love is a big problem for Claude that we don't see the end result of.
I'm pretty sure when it was all said and done, Claude left with all the cash he gained and moved back to San Andreas still doing some street races for fun, but otherwise retired from the criminal underworld.
It all came down to money. One of the first things Donald Love said when meeting Claude was: "Experience has taught me that a man like you can be very loyal for the right price"
Asuka treated Claude like family. Kenji treated him like a gaijin below any japanese person and blamed Claude for something that clearly wasn't his fault. People shit on Claude for getting rid of the only part of yakuza that would never protect him, just because he is silent.
It would have been interesting to learn more about Miguel. Considering he almost suffered the same fate as Claude, only to get tortured by Asuka and killed by Catalina along with Asuka. I'd like to think Catalina killed him but let's be real. Asuka killed him as he was the fall guy for Claude whacking Kenji.
Love your content. Can you make a video about what would have happened if Tommy Vercetti came in Vice City in 1984, by the time Victor got kicked out of the army, instead of 1986. A "What if" kind of video. I wonder how Tommy would have handled the gangs back there, because they were a lot more stronger then than in 1986
Claud was and always been a psychopath. However I believe that after what Catalina did to him, he may have lost trust in the concept of loyalty. Thanks to the betrayal of Catalina, Claude now recognise that loyalty is an illusion and what ultimately matters is once own survival. Ultimately he become even a bigger psychopath than Catalina.
I am glad how Rockstar Games created such masterpieces of what people are still discussing till date. 23 years ago this game came and now we are still discussing why did Claude betray Yakuza! Wow. Just wow.
He didn't betray them he got mistreated by kenji that's all, and + if he is a hired killer then ofc he would the slightest offence as if someone offended a dead member of his family
I never really thought revenge in the GTA games ever had a nice payoff. Tommy was more fighting for his life against sonny and lance. Its pretty central to the story in rdr 2. Even niko didn't have to kill darko. It was players choice. Interpretation is absolutely different for all of us. That's good cause well its nice to have creativity and different views and makes gaming even more imaginative.
The first thing you pointed out is the other way around Lance was fighting for his life against Tommy because he treated him unfairly and was not gonna help support his life with the money, and Sonny only wanted his money back from Tommy which he dishonorably doesn’t want to give it back but rather betray him for his own business due to trust issues.
Claude doesn't have any loyality or sympathy toward others. When he was ordered to kill Kenji he didn't even think about it, he just does what serves his purposes.
It would all make sense only if donald told us after weve done his missions, some people just rush and do donald's mission without doing a single kenji mission
You should do an in-depth video on the Oriental Gentleman and on how he may be a character that connects GTA 3, Vice City and, why not, also San Andreas
Claude is loyal to no one, the only person he "appeared" to be loyal to, was Catalina, BUT he would had probably murdered her either way some time later after the job, if she didnt betray him first. Since Claude is literally a psychopath, even worse than Trevor, Trevor is trying hard to present himself as a psycho, while Claude is trying hard to not show that. I mean, Claude even went through all the trouble to save Maria, and then immediately killed her after saving her, just to shut her up 🤣🤣 For me Claude shares the first place with Tommy Vercetti when it comes to my favorite GTA protagonists, I would genuinely love to see a Prequel to GTA 3, following Claude once again.
Maria… never hurt… anyone. @@Spartak2811 Maria is not a saint, she was a nympho gold digger that wanted a high life with Salvatore and got together with him. This video is mind blowing. To be honest all this time i thought the reason for Claude to kill Kenji was just because he's a psychopath who wants money. I feel stupid for ignoring how Kenji was mistreating Claude during the story
With helpful tip from Donald Love had idea Claude did is to make conflict war forced with Colombian Cartel and Yakuza. Remember Kenji said Colombian Cartel was laughting at him ? Kenji did wanted to make friend with C Cartel it sounds like he wanted to buy/steal Spank too it's weird but remember Yardie is allied with Colombian Cartel ( because of SPANK Yardie bought it to Catalina sells) Yardie hates Claude in later (Catalina literally made wanted poster dead or alive to Claude for Spank free then gangs hunt claude.) Looks like Salvatore Leone Mafia wanted to steal Spank from ship sink to capture which means it didn't worked it because C Cartel took back in time and discovery that Leone wanted spank for money profit Salvatore Leone to betray Claude to get Spank) Claude making to be Made man was ambush to lure him (Thanks to Maria and Asuka.)
@@iwillnotcomplyistandformyf6642 Colombian Cartel, was selling cafe espresso hidden spank, I think only Yardies gang likes spank, Yardie hates Claude because Catalina sold spank them. you will understand when you finish mission Yardie tell you to steal car to deliver but turns out was ambush, when you enter car you get paper message from car, it was Catalina and you had to kill bomb suiciders before mission complete.
Also, if Asuka thought the Cartel murdered her brother, Claude would have the Yakuza’s full backing. We see this when they are able to capture Miguel, and Asuka’s torture of him was driven by revenge.
All good points, but I was distracted by 1. The Xbox models and textures on PC and 2. Some really creative was of solving some of the most PITA missions in the game.
I think it all honestly stemmed from the fact that Claude was betrayed by Catalina first and then betrayed by Leones. Because of that, Claude finally must have realized that in criminal underworld, he can't rely on anyone but himself, as in criminal organizations, there's always a chance of an entire mafia/organization going down because of one traitor. That, and the fact that he realized that he only needs one or two powerful people at his side one at a time and just decided to go out of his way to do things that work in his interest. So, I firmly believe in the fact that he must be traumatized by betrayals.
If Claude is already an escaped convict, why would he want to associate with love who cannot protect him? This put a lot of light him that way. Not to mention the mission in question against kenji. Love has shown he may have connections, but he also has strong detractors in the shadows. I think he'd much rather hold ties with the yakuza for a short while after leaving Portland. Besides, even if Claude rejects the kenji assassination, I've never really understood what gang he has on his side that could get thru the yakuza to get to Claude. Claudes business connection to love is all but fulfilled after ray is gone to Miami. No one forces him to stay in touch with love after that.
But the LCPD wasn't on Claude, the narrator in the intro states that all convicts in the Callahan Bridge incident(Claude,8 Ball,Old Oriental Gentleman),were cosidered dead
You forgot one. Claude, more than any other GTA protagonist, is a straight up psychopath. He doesn't talk, which is symptomatic. He's meant to be a vehicle for the player to live out violent fantasies. As such, he probably took the mission just to kill people. He even stays close to Asuka after and sees how it affects her
It’s more like he was a victim of betrayal from Catalina. He thought that the Leone family was proud of him doing their criminal work and got the attention of the don and despite that he hurt his enemies only to betray him. Loyalty means nothing to him from here on out. Even the Yakuza thought that Claude cared for Maria despite that Claude never hung out with her. Or was infatuated with her. And of course Kenji being so antagonizing on Claude. Even for the criminal jobs he’s done for Kenji, that Kenji didn’t tolerated the consequences of doing his job right. It makes sense that not only he would kill Kenji, but also make it look like the Colombian cartel assassinated him and would make the Yakuza declare war on the cartel. In which Catalina is apart of.

He didn’t betray sal or Donald or ray
@@Nativemobboss If you continue reading, I am not explicitly saying that he betrays more people
it's not about betray everyone... don't forget "All Gangs criminals had interest SPANK" (Catalina literally made Wanted poster to Claude for free SPANK) (except one gang remaining in 3rd island where you live last)(every gang makes friend to other gang) Salvatore Leone's last task was to sink ship full of Spank and conquer to mafia spank saving but C Cartel took it back and later betrayed Claude because he found out he was partner Catalina all long ago if Claude had spoken everything to S Leone it should make clearer but he was mute all times.
killing Kenji betrays more than him though.
Tommy: Sonny (edge case, I know), Diaz
CJ: ogloc, Loco Syndicate members, doing Tenpenny jobs after Toreno guarantees Sweets safety, Salvatore.
Niko: Vlad, Pegorino (probably)
GTA V: can't be bothered, Frank in the ending the other two all the time.
And I don't see how he screwed cj over, he actually gave cj something way better basically setting him up for life
Cause he can't speak up for himself 😂 GTA 3 missions felt like chores
Nothing brings down real estate prices like a good old gang war. Apart from an outbreak of plague, but that may be going too far in this case
A gta style mission where we release the plague... would age awesomely
"You writing this down, you four-eyed prick?"
Claude was just doing his work. No emotion, no any sense of interest in anything, being cold asf.
They was shit to him is why
Claude is a sociopath who doesn’t feel empathy for anyone.
Have a good day reader
he's a gun for hire, loyal only to himself
With a series consisting with plenty of good/great main characters, I still love Claude with his ability to piss off every faction and putting a massive target on his back, like its nothing.
By the end of the game, the only thing left for Claude is to either leave Liberty City, or be killed by one of many factions in the city. Hindsight is 20-20 and the disappearance of Donald Love is a big problem for Claude that we don't see the end result of.
Or Claude might attempt to conquer vice city and San Andreas
I'm pretty sure when it was all said and done, Claude left with all the cash he gained and moved back to San Andreas still doing some street races for fun, but otherwise retired from the criminal underworld.
Debra killed Floyd. Trevor killed Debra and avenged Floyd.
I love to get popcorn and watch these videos because there so dam good very underrated RUclips channel very high quality content
It all came down to money. One of the first things Donald Love said when meeting Claude was: "Experience has taught me that a man like you can be very loyal for the right price"
Kenji may have had a bad temper but Kenji and the yakuza still treated Claude like family he doesn’t deserve to die
wtf kenji was shit
Asuka treated Claude like family. Kenji treated him like a gaijin below any japanese person and blamed Claude for something that clearly wasn't his fault. People shit on Claude for getting rid of the only part of yakuza that would never protect him, just because he is silent.
@@Kill_Binho if play gta advance you would think of asuka differently she not as sweet and goody goody like she in gta 3
@@Nativemobboss, You can be a pos and still have loyalties
@@Nativemobbossbut Advance isn't canon
I really hated burying the foreman in concrete and the wee tip missions in san Andreas
There isn't much to Miguel, since besides GTA 3 he is only in one mission in Liberty City Stories
Love your content. Can you make a video about what would have happened if Tommy Vercetti came in Vice City in 1984, by the time Victor got kicked out of the army, instead of 1986. A "What if" kind of video. I wonder how Tommy would have handled the gangs back there, because they were a lot more stronger then than in 1986
He/She who attempts to feel the warmth of their village burns it if ostracized or wronged
Figuratively speaking, Claude 'burnt' LC in that regard to feel warmth.
Claude isn't a gangster, he is a bonafide criminal XD
Dang I’m gonna miss these 2 announcers that they worked on this channel in the past!
To be fair, Claude has been betrayed numerous times himself, so anyone in his place would easily stop trusting people after that.
Like Catalina and Salvatore Leone are not the only ones to betray Claude?
Everybody crossed Claude so he crossed them back out
The only people who didn't Cross Claude:
- Maria
- Asuka
- El Burro
- Marty Chonks
- Donald
- Ray
- D-Ice
About 8-Ball is Unsure 🤷♂️
One may wonder what Claude's breeding was to make him the man he is...
Don't wonder, he is the most sane individual in that city
Yeah Claude is just a cold blooded killer all his life😭
its simple he doesnt care
Claude waited to kill Catalina because he wanted to hurt her first but harming her place in the Colombian gang.
Stop using the term psychopath so loosely, it's a complex disorder lol that requires more criteria fitting
I am glad how Rockstar Games created such masterpieces of what people are still discussing till date. 23 years ago this game came and now we are still discussing why did Claude betray Yakuza! Wow. Just wow.
to answer this in the words of Donna Summers: "Hey works hard for the money"
He didn't betray them he got mistreated by kenji that's all, and + if he is a hired killer then ofc he would the slightest offence as if someone offended a dead member of his family
"Why did you do it, Claude?"
"I like money"
I like turtles 🐢
He likes to hear the mission passed theme
Claude: "disinterested stare"
As they always say "the silent and loyal ones are the most deadly" Claude is no expection. Only cares for money and himself.
Can’t blame him for it for betraying them.. especially if you arw loyat to money and been thru stuff.. lol
Claude doesn't have any loyality or sympathy toward others. When he was ordered to kill Kenji he didn't even think about it, he just does what serves his purposes.
6:10 Feech La Manna lol
Claude only cared about getting revenge on Catalina
I’d assume because of the mission grand theft auto
I wonder if Claude left Liberty City at the end of the game
Man Claude really has it rough in being pushed around and following orders just to get stabbed on the back again and again
I see it as a means to an end for Claude. The fact that he got to kill someone who was a dick to him was just icing on the cake
babe wake up, the new gaming investigators vid just dropped.
Wow the OG LUT added so much to the games atmosphere
Claude is the ultimate hitman
Claude’s pretty tight-lipped, so I guess asking him would be out of the question.
It would all make sense only if donald told us after weve done his missions, some people just rush and do donald's mission without doing a single kenji mission
Darko? Wasn’t he a cut character from gta 3? Wouldn’t that make it a reference to cut missions from gta 3 by putting him in gta 4?
Nah,GTA 3 one is Darkel(not Darko) and he was a crazy terrorist hobo, leader of a tramp gang
I always wondered myself but these theories brings valid points, besides Claude genuinely not giving a shite
Short Answer: Claude betrayed the Yakuza because he wanted Infinite Wealth
Claude has no loyalty he is a mercenary. His loyalty is to money. So he bettayed nobody. A mercenary is only loyal to those who pay them the most.
This. Remember Donald Love pays the most at the end of the missions
You should do an in-depth video on the Oriental Gentleman and on how he may be a character that connects GTA 3, Vice City and, why not, also San Andreas
Simple answer Claude didn't know how to say NO or anything
3:06 gaijin means "subhuman" in Japanese. This word were used to desribe non-Japanese people \ century ago
I mean, Claude even went through all the trouble to save Maria, and then immediately killed her after saving her, just to shut her up 🤣🤣
For me Claude shares the first place with Tommy Vercetti when it comes to my favorite GTA protagonists, I would genuinely love to see a Prequel to GTA 3, following Claude once again.
Maria… never hurt… anyone. Poor girl… she just wanted to live just like she wants, be free and independent, she broke out from shackles of this old scumbag, and this silent guy in her age whom she trusted betrayed her like a spineless rat who will betray everyone who trusted him. Maria was a lamb befriended with wolves whom were Salvatore, Toni, Wayne and Claude.
@@Spartak2811 Maria is not a saint, she was a nympho gold digger that wanted a high life with Salvatore and got together with him. Then when she got bored of that life, she started using drugs and started cheating on him and wanted to betray Salvatore by selling information on his mob to the news, she was even hitting on Toni Cipriani many times and he always rejected her, and after she realized that he isnt rich, she went back to Salvatore because "He is loaded".
Then in GTA 3 she literally endangered Claude`s life and ruined Claude`s relationship with Salvatore by lying to Salvatore that she is cheating on him with Claude, resulting in Salvatore wanting to kill Claude.
@@JustFun598 Maria is not the saint, but she’s not a bad person because Salvatore treats her worse than crap, insults and humiliates her, cheats on her with other young girls. You said: Maria sold Mafia secrets. Toshiko sold Yakuza secrets, but no accusations. Maria started to use drugs not because of boredom, she never used drugs before meeting this scumbag. She started to use drugs because of depression caused by neglecting, abusing, insulting and humiliating attitude of Salvatore to her, because he never loved her, he saw only a toy and property in her. And he cheated on her with other young girls.
Maria did nothing wrong with Claude. Salvatore betrayed Claude for the peace with the Colombians. He just manipulated Claude as a small coin. Maria did nothing wrong, she never hurt anyone. Salvatore deserved all troubles she caused to him. Toni deserved all troubles Maria caused. What the hell does he care with a girl who’s younger than his own son?! She just wants to live just like she wants. And she wanted to get revenge on Salvatore which she did.
You claim that Maria always was a gold digger like she was born and raised as a gold digger? It’s not in her DNA. She was too young and naive when she worked in Caligula’s. She didn’t want to be with Salvatore, he wanted her.
I don’t understand you: if Salvatore insults and humiliates Maria, treats her worse than crap - it’s good and perfect, he’s the Mafia Boss and he’s allowed to do anything. And when Maria tells that she exhausted of these insults and humiliations, that enough is enough and she wants to leave him for good - she’s a bitch, slut, tramp, curse, parasite, mistake of nature, cancerous tumor? Are you deranged?
All your comment is “all that bad in Maria Latore is Maria Latore. If she was never born, if her simp father had worn a condom or her prostitute mother has an abortion, it could be a huge favour. Her parents were shit, her sister was shit, her ancestors were shit.” Why are you always poor dirt Maria and defend Salvatore? It was his choice to marry a young girl old enough to be his daughter, who didn’t like him from the beginning. Maria did not like Salvatore when she met him at Venturas. She despised him. He wanted her. What the hell does he care with a girl who’s younger than his own son?! Salvatore never loved Maria from the begin with. And Maria repaid him with the same coin in every way.
Maybe Salvatore shouldn’t be a pedophile for molesting a young girl? That’s old decrepit stinky impotent wreck is putting on truancy on the graveyard😆😆😆 why the hell do you need a young wife? Why are you molesting young girls? What are you doing, you old wreck?
@@JustFun598 Maria did nothing wrong. She never hurt anyone. That old scumbag insulted and humiliated her, treated her worse than crap, didn’t pay any attention to her and cheated on her with other young girls. He made her suffer. She did everything right, she wanted to leave him once and for all, break out from his shackles, live just like she wants, become free and independent, be herself, not a toy and property and find a better life. It’s impossible to blame her.
Salvatore got what he deserved. He ruined her life. Maria didn’t betray Salvatore. It was Salvatore who betrayed Maria. She never hurt anyone. She should have caused troubles more often, he deserved it. What the hell does he care with a girl who’s younger than his own son?!
Maria was bullied, insulted and humiliated all the time, put on the last place, considered her as disposable second it even third class of woman. She screams for help. But no one listens her. Everyone considers her as a culprit of all evils.
Maria was considered as disposable but she deserved so much better.
She only pretended to be a dumb lady but in reality she was an emotionally destroyed person who heavily regretted marrying Salvatore and wanted to start over a new life with anyone. Do anything, just to escape from him.
Comparing with everyone in Liberty City, Maria is an angel. She’s not a violent criminal, not a murdering psychopath. She didn’t do anything to Claude, she cared about him. And you’re laughing at Claude’s possible betrayal to Maria? Are you deranged? Claude is evil. He has no heart, no soul, no compassion, no sympathy. He doesn’t need enemies, he’s saboteur on his own.
Because he wanted to be the Dragon of Dojima
You can kill Kenji before you even do his missions
i like to think that Claude, for as much of a 'cool and collected' persona that he is (bcuz he never says anything, duh) is like a severely misanthropic kind of guy, like, he genuinely enjoys being a part of the criminal underworld and is kind of like trevor, except there's no posturing or sad mommy issues or it all being a front to hide deep seated insecurities, claude simply found a line of work he excels at, and the more fucked up a situation is, the more he seems to profit from it all
What do you mean fucked up shit? I don't remember claude doing half of the shit any other protagonist has done? Like come on betrayal or even if you can call it that is fucking tame compared to other heinous acts carried out by other protagonist
Claude was only loyal to himself. And also the guy has little characterization. Even Claude's parody from that coke cola ad has more characterization than him.
Yeah because let's ignore the fact he was loyal to catalina for 9 years and got backstabbed lol
I remember Donald Love said something about a deal between Yakussa and Cartel... they probably sell Claude out
No years in the joint made you a fking mute
If only we had Claude's internal dialog. Kenji is an annoying character though.
Kenji Was Constantly Getting Aggressive And Threating Mocking Claude Repeatly Despite Following His Orders Closely Claude Was So Sick Of His Condescending Attitude He Gave Up On Kenji And Decided To Find New Work As Fate Has It Donald Love Wanted The Leader Of Yakuza To Be Killed By A Cartel Driver To Stir Up Controversy And Antagonise Each Opposeing Gang It Was Befitting As Claude Hated Kenji For Nearly Getting Him Killed And Disrespecting Him
Many Many People Will Say Claude Is The Most Psycho Character Yet Never Does He Blow Up An Entire District Or Bury Someone Alive Or Kidnap Anyone He Only Kills Thoses Standing In His Way And Really Evil Dudes
This Parallels Nikos Character Who Immediately Despises Francis After Makeing Him Do His Dirty Work And Black Mailing Him Even If You Kill Derek Niko Is Very Angry At Francis Vs Derek Leading Me To Believe Killing Francis Is Canon
Claude Is Not Very Nice But He Has Honor And A Code Of Ethics As Long As You Do Not Betray Him Or Threaten His Life He Simply Doesnt Care I Respect That He Even Let Maria Live
He needed the dame da cash
This video is mind blowing.
To be honest all this time i thought the reason for Claude to kill Kenji was just because he's a psychopath who wants money.
I feel stupid for ignoring how Kenji was mistreating Claude during the story
Claude had one mission... revenge Catalina, if he had to cross people it had to be done . Period
Everybody in Liberty City was against Spank (keyword: against)
@@iwillnotcomplyistandformyf6642 Colombian Cartel, was selling cafe espresso hidden spank, I think only Yardies gang likes spank, Yardie hates Claude because Catalina sold spank them. you will understand when you finish mission Yardie tell you to steal car to deliver but turns out was ambush, when you enter car you get paper message from car, it was Catalina and you had to kill bomb suiciders before mission complete.
I like the new guy
Also, if Asuka thought the Cartel murdered her brother, Claude would have the Yakuza’s full backing. We see this when they are able to capture Miguel, and Asuka’s torture of him was driven by revenge.
All good points, but I was distracted by 1. The Xbox models and textures on PC and 2. Some really creative was of solving some of the most PITA missions in the game.
Claude was the Marlo of the GTA series
He even stays close to Asuka after and sees how it affects her
$30.000 was a lot of money in 2000 😆
It’s more like he was a victim of betrayal from Catalina.
