I found other interpretations of this piece but I love listening to this rendition over and over and over again. I discovered that the chant and tutti are of separate pieces. But you see, the beauty of this piece does not rely in the musicality, but in the artistry. While it is easy to sing this piece by studying it's history and singing it in accordance to the period it was written, it is the artists' perspective and interpretation that will bring out the beauty of the piece and take its listeners into a state of hallucination; leading them to travel back in time - and MADZ did just that.
the voices of these pipz are truly remarkable, sharp, balanced, no need for auto-tune for all of them are almost pitch perfect, mostly the basses, my goodness! what makes me sad is seeing this wonderful, such piece of musical art has a little amount of views, likes, and the fact that there are still people who dislike this. seriously? are they deaf? truly the modern music today corrupts the people's minds, young and old, men and women all over the world. only few people can appreciate this kind of classical music. such irony. :3
Thank you for sharing. Z. Randall Stroope must consider the Madz as the best among the best choirs in the world. Thank you for making us proud Filipinos.
True enough, music is the language of the world for it transcends racial, ethnic or political divide, and when it's the Philippine Madrigal Singers performing, they speak directly to one's soul.
One of the best choirs in the whole world!
