If you don’t mind me asking I noticed you hold the knives deep in your hands with the index high on the spine are you pushing with your index or just letting momentum pull the knife out? Your throws are awesome and seem to be flying on a perfect straight line from your hand to target.

I occasionally place it high or low intentionally to experiment if placement really matters, and in the end it really just depends on the day. So to answer your question, there is no active push of my index, it's just a reflexive response. I try to train instinctively to adapt to however I grab the knife.
