Whoever sent that credit card video rules. That’s the best kind of trolling to DSP because he pauses and pontificates and the educational guy who knows more immediately says the opposite
And it's the perfect video because the whole time Phil just nods and makes his own points and watches along and at the end he gets dunked on. Total bait and switch.
For ALT:
The reason on the disc DLC is bad is because it's already developed, it's content for the game they made before selling the game, but they take that content away and make you pay for it.
It's like a restaurant making you pay $4 for cheese on your cheeseburger 🍔

I tuned in just in time to see the credit card video. It never ceases to amaze me how Phil, despite a business finance degree, has no idea how money works or the difference between a want and a need. His cope scenario about the couch really highlights the fact that wants and needs are indistinguishable in his mind.
ALT, the whole issue with the content being on the disc is that when you purchased a physical game, you now owned the disc. Ergo, why am i paying for content that is stored on a device i already own. It was a weird time for games.
There are like nine other reasons that shit is intense as well
The credit vs debit segment was really special. Phil is a master at deception and the thing is, he's mainly deceiving himself. He's created a soft cocoon of distorted reality that envelopes him and protects him from the harsh truth. "It's not that I went and maxed out all my credit cards because I'm an irresponsible moron!!" Uhhh, yeah, it is. I'm honestly surprised he didn't find a way to blame the trolls again. "I thought I could afford it but then the trolls took away my sponsorship opportunities."
On a side note, I've noticed that when Phil talks about losing sponsorship or partnership opportunities he always frames it "as thus": "All my stupid f'ing trolls started calling them and sending them out of khantext videos from my past and they (the company that sent Phil a boilerplate sponsorship offer) saw all of the hate and said, "We don't need this kind of harassment" and withdrew their offer." In reality they said, "This is not the kind of person we want to associate our brand with." He'll never understand that because of the cocoon.
1:15:41 - speaking on moving. I recently moved from state to state. A 6 hour move. Used a moving company. I don't have nearly as much shit as him. And it cost my wife and I around 8k. And we did the bare minimum. And they gave us a limit on boxes before prices went up again, and we came in under. On purpose.
Remember phil has 97+ totes in his move? Not including furniture? Yeah...my wife and I had like 30. Total. ......... lol.... yeaaaaaa... his bill was waaaaay more than 10k ALT.
Yeah they quoted Phil a certain amount for a certain number of boxes but of course Phil had significantly more. Then Phil got angry at them for the corresponding surcharge on the initial offer. Classic Phil.

Wait what happened there at the end of the credit card video? The guy in the video said, I am paraphrasing "there is no good argument against using a credit card, and saying some people have no impuls control and will spend money they don't have is a bad argument". So what does Phail's rambling about getting ill or your car breaking have to do with it? Why would a debit card be beneficial in that situation? What the actual F?
I also don’t understand the “on the disc DLC is bad” mentality. Whether it’s on the disc or waiting to be downloaded, they were probably working on it alongside the game or slightly after the release anyway.
The best argument for it not being a thing is hackers spoiling the content and then normal people feel like they’re missing out while they wait for an official release
When you consider he used to have 2 homes (one of them pretty nice), upper-middle class income and (arguably) hot girlfriend that wanted to be with him, like fuck man, how did you fuck it all up? That infuriates me about Phil maybe the most. He had every chance to do good in life, much more then good, and he squandered it horribly. And it's not like I am jealous, I am not saying that somebody else should have that life, I am pissed at Phil for being such a childish fool. If he made it work with Leanna, changed his lifestyle and stopped being 24/7 plugged into the Internet, he would still be an asshole but at least he would be an intelligent asshole. He did it all to himself and that pisses me off.

Took a lot more skill to produce and they were younger than him. Clearly the credit guy is way above his IQ level.
