Biodroids are only droids with biological matter being their source of power (i think, hence the name biodroid) and the rest are just steel, metals and wires. So if they die, they just release the matter around the death site and explode the rest of their components.

Not sure if it’s the right one, But One marvel mod I can think of (fairly popular you would see it) Doctor strange can become a ghost when he dies. If you inject people with a syringe, they can have the same effect.
