Ran a game last week of the Core Starter Set, was really good change of pace, player and dm wise; dm not rolling all the time in combat frees up my time for description and tactics as well as static damage values on enemies vs rolled damage reduction based on armor type by PCs was really cool, made npc damage feel lethal especially in mobs
In modern times, the ecology is extremely important. Too many games are just about killing monsters and expanding power. What if you have to protect monsters that want to eat you to save the environment, or else everyone dies? This is the state of our current planet, and that consciousness should be be way present in all games.

I cannot recommend the Throne of Thorns enough to those who are looking for a multi-year campaign.
Which books are part of this Throne of Thorns campaign. The descriptions on Drivethrurpgs are not very clear on this point.
