they are! tho the first few albums are a little more on the endurance side cause of the little snippets of snare fills and toms in between playing (steve-o does it all the time)
Kurt Guenther Steve Jocz is severely under-rated. He never sold himself as a god like Travis Barker did. That’s why he’s not a house-hold name. The new guy is pretty damn good himself though.
This brought a big smile to my face. Thanks for making this video. Sum 41 is one of my favorite bands of all-time and it was really cool to hear a lot of the old tracks here.
@@craigpatrick1 Yes it was! I wonder why the hell so few otherwise talented artists don't bother putting that kind of solid effort into writing really kickass albums that are really intense all the way through.

dude you are literally one of my inspirations i really want to play like you when I get my own kit instead of playing the kit at school when I get a damn chance (bugging the music teacher to let you in so you get at least half an hour a week annoys her so much) thanks for making these videos
The first band I listended to and also the first I saw live...It was before they released Screaming Bloody Murder, I remember they played two songs (Skumfuk and Blood In My Eyes if my brain is right) as the singles werent't released:) The band that opened for them on the tour was The Black Pacific, the side project of Jim from Pennywise, I didn't even know who he was at that time but I enjoyed their show SO much...such a good memorie
Nothing has made me love my favorite band more than this, thank you so much. Any chance you could do a Misfits compilation when you get around to a new compilation video?
dude... this is so fucking perfect I can barely find the words. I doubt very many people (especially non-drummers) can appreciate the skill it takes to create a video like this with that kind of attention to detail. huge respect from a fellow youtube drummer. you could have easily given frank of sum41 a run for the money as a replacement for stevo. if I got to change one thing in this video, it would be the part you chose from the very last song, which brings the video to a closing. the bridge leading into the final chorus would have been a better choice - it's so much more fun to play than anything else on that album. I have been air-drumming that part of the song since the first previews of the album became public. I would be very interested to hear a 10 minute version of this or full sum41 album covers. phenomenal drumming, sir.
Damn. First time I've seen your videos and that took me on the Sum 41 journey! Can't imagine how long it took to learn all the different parts and combine them all together. Nicely done! I'm off to watch all you others :)
sum 41 songs look like they'd be extremely fun to drum to
try and play we're all to blame
they are!
They are
There’s no solution and we’re all to blame are great ones to play to
In my book
they are! tho the first few albums are a little more on the endurance side cause of the little snippets of snare fills and toms in between playing (steve-o does it all the time)
I never realized how good Sum 41 drums are
Kurt Guenther Steve Jocz is severely under-rated. He never sold himself as a god like Travis Barker did. That’s why he’s not a house-hold name. The new guy is pretty damn good himself though.
He sings too
@@justinsarvela1102 Frank Zummo is a machine, but Steve is the king!
The guy just knew how to inject energy into a song. And that fits Sum 41's (pop-)punk/metal mix sound like a glove.
same, heh
This honestly is the best chronology ever. It has an awesome entrance, great angles, and the lighting is perfect.
Why did I stop listening to Sum 41 again?
And so we meet again...
All My Best Friends Wear Turtlenecks because All Killer No Filler's singles were bad. The band became known for Fat Lip and Motivation
Punxatowny Just let me pick up the kids and leave. You don't have to make this difficult you know.
All My Best Friends Wear Turtlenecks You stay away from them! I'm calling the lawyer!
Punxatowny We have joint custody, you can't do this!
Their albums get better and better the more you listen to them.
For real! They're all so good!
holy fuck that was amazing.
Stevo is right up there with barker for me. I love him
if you listen closely, you can hear the exact moment they didn't go bad over the years.
If you listen closely, you can hear the exact moment Screaming Bloody Murder turned them to shit
Underclass Hero crossed the line for me. Screaming Bloody Murder was fine
i actually think that they got better, from whiny uninteresting everyday pop punk to a solid rock band
SBM was pretty awesome, imo only HHOP was their average album, rest is masterpiece (especially Chuck and Does This Look Infected?)
Totally agreed! Those albums aren't from this damn world!
you made me wanna listen to all the sum's songs XD
This brought a big smile to my face. Thanks for making this video. Sum 41 is one of my favorite bands of all-time and it was really cool to hear a lot of the old tracks here.
This video made me remember why Sum 41 is one of my favorite bands. Thank you.
😍😍 my 12 year old self is majorly appreciating this
Does this look infected was solid as fuck
Fuck yees
Chuck was a flawless album
@@craigpatrick1 Yes it was! I wonder why the hell so few otherwise talented artists don't bother putting that kind of solid effort into writing really kickass albums that are really intense all the way through.
Devil's Offspring I rebought it on Vinyl about a month ago along with AKNF
That was frigging insane. Makes me realize once again, that there are hardly any songs Sum 41 made I don't like.
Awesome drum chronology like always Kye !
Love Stevo-32 drumming, never knew why he was so underrated in the days
Sum41's newest album was probably the best comeback album this year between the 3 comeback albums released between them, blink, and Green Day.
Again lol
Man, probably the best drum sound that I've heard. It also helps that Sum 41 are my fave band.
Dude...you're my favorite drummer that the world doesn't know....yet 🤔🤘🥁🎵🎶
That transition between pain for pleasure and the hell song
These are always so awesome because it gives me a quick overview of older albums that i havent listened to and shows which ones sounds awesome
aaaaa I LOVE IT you kill it ........ I love sum 41 since I was a kid
Alkaline Trio would be legendary. Derek Grant is too good.
I second that motion so bad!
