@GodfatherNick17 bro i listen to hip hop with sample loops all over the songs, this is definitely not annoying to me lol, song could've been shorter tho
I love how Kevin makes the songs sound different and new every time he plays them. Every live event makes me feel like I'm listening to the music for the first time again. Same songs, new feel. Love you Kevin.
Facts this album is festival music and in that lens it’s an incredible album. People just were expecting alternative impala, but after I got over that, I am loving loving this album
It did . I just saw then on the 1st of November at Barclays in Brooklyn and the whole thing was pretty astounding. Last time I saw them was in 2012 in support of Lonerism . Completely different animal now.
Each album is beautiful in its own way! Slow Rush got me through the freaking pandemic along with the Weekend (AfterHours). This album has a lot of bangers- Loser (KP sings so beautifully with this line - I don’t know why I didn’t fight it…). I love it, I’m grateful that we got this gift…
People have been demolishing this album and it's just nice to see that there are indeed people who also enjoy it. Edit: I didn't think this comment would get so much attention, just keep it civil. We can all have our opinions.
I’m Brazilian and I’m going to Berlin in April just to see this man. The Tame Impala show at Lollapalooza 2023 was one of the best experiences of my life. I can’t wait to hear Kevin live again.
Álbum ruim do cacete!
Completely blown away at the negative reviews towards this album. Also find it hilarious how fans expect artists to make music for them just because they related with something specific in the past. Art is an expression, and we are truly blessed to be able to experience Kevin’s true expressions. For me, this album blew all my expectations out the water. And this is coming from an Avid fan of his inner speaker/lonerism era and of course the classic Currents. Deadbeat is just another evolution to his sounds and in a year or 2 y’all will be calling it a masterpiece once it settles lol. Keep soaring KEV!!!
That first paragraph was perfection. You hit it on the nail. He really spoiled his “psychedelic rock/pop” fans if you will. They all expect it to have that sound and while that is my favorite era as well, this is still beautiful. I’d listen to this over anything coming out. Travis Scott even said this was the best album to come out in the last two years.
I believe the reviews of Deadbeat have been quite unfair. Kevin is the kind of artist and person who constantly seeks to reinvent himself, drawing inspiration from his own life story. While we can agree that this may not be his strongest album, it feels genuine and refreshingly unpredictable. It’s impossible to confine Kevin to a single genre-he embodies a spectrum of colors and influences. We’ve already experienced the psychedelic phase with its rich, textured soundscapes-there’s no need to expect the same thing every time. Let the man create, for heaven’s sake. Let him offer us something we don’t yet realize we’ll love. He’s embarking on an evolution. PD: These three songs are my favorites from the album.
WOW! Just wanna take a second to hype up Kevin's vocals on this, especially in My Old Ways. Honestly the best his voice has ever sounded live 👌🏻 such good pitch and vocal control. Love to see all the love for the album in the comments! It isn't my favourite Tame Impala record by any means, but I still love it. Change is always good and honestly it still carries SO much of his distinct sound.
I think he swaps some of the lines here compared to the studio version. It’s still amazing & I love it edit: my apologies, I was talking about the My Old Ways bridge
Growing up in high school Kevin’s vocals were always pretty good in live videos with some live hiccup stuff lol but now they’re ridiculously good. I’ve seen them live 3 times now and they were all flawless vocal sets so he’s been at this level vocally for a minuteee
The only thing missing from this to be perfect is the real drums that are on the album in my old ways...I could do that even for free on the tour Kevin...
Deadbeat sounds so fresh to me. Kevin’s exploring this new space between groove and melancholy, and it totally works. Can’t wait to fly to Düsseldorf for the concert!
Kevin is pushing his music into new heights every album makes damnit! Like currents was something, but now Deadbeat and next album ???. It all shockingly comes into its own place
I cant believe he sounds this fucking good live!! Its been so long and this is his best era vocally! I genuinely enjoy this album as much as the slow rush and currents albums.. I dont understand whats wrong with all those people giving it bad reviews???
I don't hate it. But it's his worst by a mile. The good songs are really cool, but gosh there are a lot of skips. And I am in the minority I know, but I really can't stand Dracula.
Half the songs on here are actually quite good and salvageable. Though the second half of the album is definitely weaker and See You Monday (You’re Lost) is definitely the worst song he’s ever done.
So there was an extra beginning to My Old Ways? Wow. In some other dimension that is in the album version. Such a great album. I have to see them for this album. The last time I saw them was right before COVID shut everything down, saw them in California the show before they canceled all of their shows. It was epic. Perfect sound quality, seats, and energy all around. This album I'd be dancing a lot more. ☮️🖤
My Old Ways sounds amazing live
@GodfatherNick17 no it isn't
@AcervoFMTVyes, let’s listen to the SAME piano riff of 4 notes for 4 minutes. Excellent melody. Song is awful and repetitive.
@GodfatherNick17 bro i listen to hip hop with sample loops all over the songs, this is definitely not annoying to me lol, song could've been shorter tho
@AcervoFMTVenjoy it
Best song on the album its a classic tame song
The fact that my boy Kevin sounds like that live is NUTS
I love tame, but he doesn't, he's been using auto tune for years.
You can hear it's mostly layers and auto tune. If you want to hear what he actually sounds like, see the tiny desk he just did.
kevin does not sound like that dawg, there is an entire live album
Yea the tiny desk was rough
Talk to ‘em
A24 + Tame Impala - I'm here for it.
Hell yeah!
same
more like sean durkin + tame impala. gotta give some credit to the guy who directed the iron claw!
A24 and tame impala sounds like the perfect combination
@proco223yeah 2 of my favorites!! Give me more plz 😮
I love how Kevin makes the songs sound different and new every time he plays them. Every live event makes me feel like I'm listening to the music for the first time again. Same songs, new feel. Love you Kevin.
Quick note. Why does one of the guys have THE mustache? You know what I'm talking about. Or should I say who?
Yes
New song, same old feel
@Anythingbutdoingschoolworkhes had that tash for years
@AnythingbutdoingschoolworkThat’s the tash of dependability
This album is the type of album that gets better as you listen with fresh ears.
100%. It hits harder at nighttime as well
Yep, people are way too quick to dismiss this one.
That’s basically every Tame Impala album to be honest
It was fire the first listen
Oblivion specifically for me
This is by far his best era vocally
autotune is good.
@b-nanaman7986 you clearly have no idea what is autotune
@p0tx_23These vocals are pitch corrected though, it’s not how he actually sounds
@b-nanaman7986you can clearly hear it's not with your ears
@xCristianAndres this is not autotune tho
oh damn, I see - this is gonna be one of those albums where the live versions kick ass
Facts this album is festival music and in that lens it’s an incredible album. People just were expecting alternative impala, but after I got over that, I am loving loving this album
That’s literally what I said when I first heard it…the songs everyone is sleeping on will the be the best when it’s done live
yes. The Tour is going to be insane even if I wont be on it lol
It did . I just saw then on the 1st of November at Barclays in Brooklyn and the whole thing was pretty astounding. Last time I saw them was in 2012 in support of Lonerism . Completely different animal now.
@ericwalter4771 i'm so jealous
Dont understand why people are hating on this album. I love every second of it.
his music is so good that people cant understand it when they hear it for the first time... like a misunderstood genius
@surfmage Or people don't think it's that good compared to the earlier albums.
@ab8jehexactly lol
@ab8jeh Def

Edit: I didn't think this comment would get so much attention, just keep it civil. We can all have our opinions.
ETHERAL CONNECTION live. pump it in me.
Just because he wanted to do more of an edm/dance vibe? I think it’s brilliant
I love the new record! It's odd and strange. Reminds me a lot of Lonerism, just electronic.
Fontano is a hack. I think it’s genius.
@Kraftpunk1983vcStraight up echo chamber bullshit dude because of him, I'm so sick of it. I really just think it's fun music
The audio mix on this is ridiculously good wow. Maybe my favorite versions of all these new songs. Thanks A24 :)
They really do sound better here than in the album IMHO
I walked past the theater the day they filmed this and saw all the Tame Impala instrument case, I didn't know KEVIN WAS IN THERE
Well if you see tame impala instrument cases you could easily assume Kevin is there or a good chance of it lol. He IS tame.
I read this as in Kevin was inside the instrument case - you know , like a coffin like Dracula…
He should release this live on Spotify 'cause it's insane
it is? pretty sure worldwide as well
@cantcomeupwithusername he’s talking about these live versions specifically my guy
@lukegarris0ncould you post a Kilby Girl tutorial?
@cantcomeupwithusername Dude, I definitely should 😂 I’ll try to do it soon and I’ll lyk when I post it
@lukegarris0nYOOOO 🎉
I would have killed for these sort of videos in the pre Slow Rush era
I’m Brazilian and I’m going to Berlin in April just to see this man. The Tame Impala show at Lollapalooza 2023 was one of the best experiences of my life. I can’t wait to hear Kevin live again.
See you there!
nunca tive tanta inveja de alguém, kkk
Arrasou manooo
Álbum ruim do cacete! Com certeza não vai ter uma sequer do novo álbum, exceto Drácula. O resto tudo música eletrônica que qualquer adolescente daria um play. Nem precisa de banda.

Best live versions of these songs that we've heard so far
Dracula is such a banger! It sounds fantastic live.
This is giving me "From the basement" vibes. Love it!
Saaameee! Such nice quality from A24!
im getting "Stop Making Sense" concert vibes too
Radiohead's basement performances are the standard.
Live music’s still very safe and well 😌👍🏼
@SoundsVinylEverywhere I see Tame Impala, I run into Radiohead. There's a magical connection between fans of these two music projects.
I’m glad to exist at the same time as Kevin Parker
Ditto and I am 68!! 😂🎉
Had the same thought. This is magic.
I like the live version of My Old Ways better than the album version, so good!
Absolutely! Definitely an improvement sonically. Everything just sounds better
Kevin + Pond members never fail. Instant classic.
I’m surprised the vocalist didn’t join them 😅
Jay is the only one still in Pond?
@danieldaniels6371Nope, James from Pond is there on percussion
@Jvega001 the vocalist is still involved in making the artwork of the album
@renadayuliohe took the photo?
Completely blown away at the negative reviews towards this album. Also find it hilarious how fans expect artists to make music for them just because they related with something specific in the past. Art is an expression, and we are truly blessed to be able to experience Kevin’s true expressions.

Couldn't have said it better 👏🏼
Hell yeah❤
Never heard of them till this album. Love it. This made me a fan.
"True art seperates the audience"
9:44 OMG, THE SOUND OF THE GUITARS SOUNDS INCREDIBLE 🔥
As the days go by, I feel like the album is getting better and better. Time will prove Kevin Parker right.
30 years old and I just found out about Tame Impala from their Tiny Desk performance. AHHHHH feeels gooood to be here :D
Congrats 🎉
All the new synth touches added.. WOW
I believe the reviews of Deadbeat have been quite unfair. Kevin is the kind of artist and person who constantly seeks to reinvent himself, drawing inspiration from his own life story. PD: These three songs are my favorites from the album.
8:18 that shot is incredible
Exactly what I thought
Thx for pointing it out
makes me think of the justice × tame music video for one night/ all night
@desireebernal9023Right???
Agreed !
This tour..... will be mind blowing
In the round tait towers is building the stage it’s going to be next level super exciting
Chicago Nov 3
@wsknecht1 holy lore
Not a fan of this album (other than these three tracks interestingly enough) but I can see how it will help create a really great live set.
I just came from San Diego. His concert was a bomb. It was all sold out.
Also shout out to Jay with the harmonies, especially on Dracula !
Dracula is hands down the best song of the album and it sound amazing live
Obsolete??
I love Dracula so much.
They somehow made the bridge of 'Loser' even stankier. Whoever mixed this set is a fucking god.
Kevin… stay with me now… Parker.
I think he swaps some of the lines here compared to the studio version. It’s still amazing & I love it
edit: my apologies, I was talking about the My Old Ways bridge

The more I listen to these songs, the more I love them. It takes a bit to get the feel for these songs, but they stick with me. I'm down with it.
EXACTLY RIGHT!!
Me too! I didn't really like them when I listened to the album for the first time, but they've grown on me so much!
This album has more groove to it... People need to understand that an artist evolves with time so does his art
This album is literally one of the best things that happened this year. Such an amazing piece of art! ✨
The only thing missing from this to be perfect is the real drums that are on the album in my old ways...I could do that even for free on the tour Kevin...
Fr
Shout out to the sound guy!
Dracula could deserve a proper Justice remake, that would be killer
^ THIS
There’s literally still time for remixes slow your horses buddy
Absolut real, xav and gasp, listen the public!
Yea kick rocks every thing he does is perfect how it is
During Loser, I really like how they used the reverse camera for the medium shot of the hi-hat fill. It deserves that moment!
4:25 the shaker guy!! 🪇🪇🪇
Literally me
james ireland is one my favorite musicians ever lmao
Deadbeat sounds so fresh to me. Kevin’s exploring this new space between groove and melancholy, and it totally works. Can’t wait to fly to Düsseldorf for the concert!
"sound check' is the understatement of the year. I can’t remember the last time I heard a live recording sound this goooood.
thanks for the reminder im gonna relisten later w my headphones in🤭
I can’t stop listening to Deadbeat, what an incredible album from start to finish! Can’t wait to hear these songs live! ☺️♥️
Feels like Kevin’s live vocals hit a whole new level, so damn good!
Going live, and sounding better than the record, is a major flex.
1000%
This is simply so good live that I don't understand why the record doesn't sound this good production wise
Kevin is pushing his music into new heights every album makes damnit!
Like currents was something, but now Deadbeat and next album ???. It all shockingly comes into its own place
i’d love to see a24 do a tame documentary. this is sick. you guys did an excellent job 🙏🏻
Dracula is like Michael Jackson's Thriller vibessss
most definitely. End Of Summer wss my first luv. rn it’s No Reply n See You On Monday
ikr indie thriller
so is Afterthought 👀
saw him at Red Rocks. Best show ever lol
I saw Arctic Monkeys there. Amazing place for music!
Luckyyy
Even A24 in live performance made a cinematic experience visually and soundly with the same quality as their haunting pictures, what a blessing!
he's always saying how he "f'd up"😂😂 no u didn't, Kevin. we love u!!
Why didn’t they play like this on the record !!!??? 😭😭😭 damn.
After listening to the album five or so times (so far), these three tracks were my favorite on the album.
These will all be INCREDIBLE LIVE!
this makes me so excited to see him next week. Gonna be crazy
Being able to experience live in a week is literally what life is about … long live Kevin and tame impala for real for real
I cant believe he sounds this fucking good live!! Its been so long and this is his best era vocally! I genuinely enjoy this album as much as the slow rush and currents albums.. I dont understand whats wrong with all those people giving it bad reviews???
Never understood how people hate this album no 👂them vocals are getting so refined
I don't hate it. But it's his worst by a mile. The good songs are really cool, but gosh there are a lot of skips. And I am in the minority I know, but I really can't stand Dracula.
@yomuin5389 You're not alone
Half the songs on here are actually quite good and salvageable. Though the second half of the album is definitely weaker and See You Monday (You’re Lost) is definitely the worst song he’s ever done.
I dont really give the album a listen besides 2 songs. But if it plays in the club it would be my best night
Thank you for this gift… truly… thank you….. it’s an honor to be alive while Kevin Parker is composing music…
People hate on this album because they don’t party or dance IRL. This is dance music
This album will age like a fine wine. Just like some of his other albums.
Dracula is the best song of the history of humanity.
This man is the greatest musician of our century. I consider myself lucky to be able to listen to such a genius
dont be fucking stupid, prince could play 40 instruments better than Kevin Parker can play 1.
9:25 ME WHEN I'M PERFORMING A VERY IMPORTANT HEART SURGERY
Mate 😂
Bro is unintentionally hilarious lmfaooo
11:39 ME WHEN I SCRUB IN TO FIX YOUR MISTAKE WITH A SIMPLE CORRECTIVE PROCEDURE
My old ways is my favorite Tame Impala song ever.
I Wish I could be in one of the A24 movies, I’m a huge fan & I love all the films & work you guys create.
12:08 is peak
That part solidified loser as my fav on the album
4:00 yea this goes
Much agreed. And so it begins
Come to Ankara ,Türkiye please 🎉
loser is so good its insane
From Mexican mariachi vibes on tiny desk to basement synth iterations on A24. Wow, just WOW! ⚡️🎸🤎
im in love with kevins voice
8:39 gah damn Kevin
So high!
I love how simply this was shot
My Old Ways sounds so cool Live!
I have played their new album back and forth just this week. I haven't got tired of this album at all, thank you Tame Impala!!!!!!!!
This album has VERY infectious singles
The more I hear these songs, the more they seem like instant classics to me. Doesn't make sense, but feels that way ❤
This album is top-notch. Live is even better 🤌
one of the best bands ever
“MY OLD WAYS” IS ABOUT ADDICTION! BEST SONG ON ADDICTION EVER
TAME IMPALA: THE MOVIE
So here I am once again… 🪩🔥
Kevin always: “I fucked up” 😂 Love it ❤
A perfectionist at heart
'Loser' is a fucking banger! Tame Impala is a musical genius.
Imagine if they did this when the Slow Rush came out
Can’t wait for his tour. I must watch this guy live. Deadbeat is the 💩
You mean its shlt
@PoeticNixonum no
love how his voice is sounding on this album. Glad he got into the house genre
I need these mixes on streaming! He sounds even better live ❤❤❤
yeah this sounds 1000x times better than the album ver.
Bro is still messses up his lyrics but still manages a way out. I love him man
Long time Tame fan for as long as I can remember. This album keeps on getting better and better and better
we're soooo back I don't care what they say, I'm truly enjoying this
Kevin's John Lennon-esque voice makes anything sound great. Only heard a few of the new songs, but I'm diggin' 'em! Kevin's a pimp.
the boss came back!! 🔥
These guys are magic together. Sooo good.
Fantano giving this album a 2 will not be forgiven
Why anyone listens to critics. Especially that bald racist is beyond me
Fantano KNOWS music?
The whole album is amazing but this live version with the delays and reverbs in his voice of my old ways kills any other version! Incredible❤
Jay calling out Kevin a lot on these recordings lmao
3 of the best songs in this album 🔥❤🔥
So there was an extra beginning to My Old Ways? Wow. In some other dimension that is in the album version. Such a great album. I have to see them for this album. The last time I saw them was right before COVID shut everything down, saw them in California the show before they canceled all of their shows. It was epic. Perfect sound quality, seats, and energy all around. This album I'd be dancing a lot more. ☮️🖤
I'm crying and goosebumps fr fr 😭
Best album opener ever.
agreed
Not better than Let it Happen come on now
@Robertzimmermann1966 I don't like it that much tbh.
@Robertzimmermann1966I love Let It Happen but My Old Ways is VERY emotional for me. It’s so confessional!
