Hello Brad, I love your vanda orchid, it looks very healthy. I bought one summer 2018, from Lowe’s and it died. I tried very hard to keep it alive, but it went to vanda heaven. Thank you for sharing and caring.
Hi, I bought 4 at Lowe’s this past summer, an ordered one baby from EBay. The four got Thai disease which I knew nothing about. The baby is growing, but it’s a bunch of work, I have to soak it twice a day. I’m second guessing Vandas, too much work without greenhouse.
Excellent video, thanks Brad. I need to do some work on my big vanda that lives in my bedroom and think I can make two out of it but I've been putting it off because I don't want to kill it. You make it look quite straightforward though, so I'll maybe bite the bullet once it finishes flowering. Maybe...

Which species of Aerides is it?? I have a good number of odorata...was my first orchid ever about 9 years ago and now it's so bushy! It's native to where i live so probably that's the reason why the original 150ruppees(≈2 USD, yea orchids are hella cheap in India, Espescially the vandas) has grown into nearly 12-15 plants now with so many keikis!! Interesting video!
Hey Brad! I love watching your videos and have learned so much. I’m very interested in what happened to this Vanda cuttings. I’ve gone through your videos but don’t see an update.
Vanda coerulea - the true species - is a cool/cold growing. Unfortunately most available for sale have been "improved" and need things warmer than the species, but there are others. The easiest is probably Vanda (previously Neofinetia) falcata, which is quite small. Also Vanda javieri; testacea; tessellata; coerulescens; cristata; denisoniana, to give you a start. Don't forget some are found across a wide area with different conditions, so the same species might be happy growing cold if it comes from one area but need warmer temperatures if it comes from another. Best to buy from a nurseryman who knows what they're talking about and get advice from them before you buy. Your conditions will also not be the same as theirs, no matter how ideal, so you may need to acclimatise them to your conditions. Hope this helps, and good luck.
Thanks guys! I had NO idea there were cold loving vandas! I grow in a terrarium, so can you reccomend any small growing Cold loving monodials other than neofinetia? Something agraecum looking. I should have mentioned I grow in a refrigerator lol
My question does not go with the video but can I keep a cape sundew inside my house I have nats every where so would it be possible or would it just die
I swear I heard that Vanda SCREAM when you cut it's top off ! :)

I'll keep this in mind for whenever I buy a Vanda orchid also I have a question can you grow phalaenopsis orchids like a Vanda orchid?
with enough humidity you could, A few of mine might as well be Vanda's 😅
Thanks
Brads Greenhouse & Gardening Hey Brad, so your saying you could grow Phals with no media? Bare root?
@@sherryporsch9349 apparently you can I looked up images on Google and alot of people do it
Can you reccomend any monopodial orchids that require nights in the low 50's and days 78-82 F?

Brad pls help me🙏wher can i buy the cenamon?
You should find cinnamon at the grocery store with the spices in the baking aisle.
My question does not go with the video but can I keep a cape sundew inside my house I have nats every where so would it be possible or would it just die
it will be fine, just don't put it in a dark corner. give it lots of light
Great thumbnail, I can tell you have been doing some research
I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed this out but the video description says Part 3 when it is actually Part 4
I’m confused, I thought if the main crown, rotted or got damaged, the plant would die? Like most monopodial plants. ??
