the arcade rng in this run was perfect as well as the maze and boss fight. But there is a slight route change that saves around 25 or so seconds, so sub 19 is definitely possible glitchless
fps related, you need 144+ fps for it to be consistent. the game naturally has vsync enabled so go into nvidia control panel and make sure to set it to OFF. there are also various tricks in the speedrunning discord to assist with maintaining high enough frame rate, primarily camera angles or playing in windowed mode for older PCs.
Nice run! How are you able to get the gold key with only 20 fuel? I've tried everything and nothing works. I even tried doing it the way you do it. For me to get the key I need at least 50 fuel. What am I doing wrong?
i think i saw someone respond in the discord before i saw this, but just in case. 144+ fps needed. game enables vsync innately so you have to disable it in your nvidia control panel or amd equivalent. then use some camera angles or windowed mode to assure you reach the fps. the dev has also already stated he will be fixing the flamethrower fps issue eventually

How do you get gold key with 20 flamethrower ammo ? I only get to the middle of the thing with 20 and needs 40 for the complete thing
Yeah I’d like to know too. The same thing happens to me. It takes me anywhere from 40-70 ammo to get the the key.

Why are you not starting the timer on Yes? As the speedrun rules state 😊. I have problem with this game eating inputs like crazy.
this run was before leaderboard rules were established. it was retimed for leaderboard sake. and yes, inputs eaten all the time
