Enzo Fernandez doesn't fit this system ! He can't control properly, can't shoot, and he's not good defensively. Out of the midfield 3, only lavia can probably come up with goals. That's a huge problem in my eyes. Jackson should have been on the left, and Palmer is a 10. Maresca got it wrong !

You said exactly what I was thinking at the end of the match. What if we hadn’t sold Kovatich and hadn’t bought Enzo? We would have been £60m better off and had a better midfield.
All through the last two seasons we would have had a senior player in midfield who could have helped the youngsters control games. I thought Enzo was really poor today again and it is no coincidence that as soon as he went out injured last season the team performed considerably better. Caicedo in particular was liberated and Palmer had more room to work his magic.
Our useless Sporting Directors overpaid for Enzo and now Eghbali refuses to take a loss on him, so we will be stuck with Enzo for at least another season until they finally admit they made a mistake.
What winds me up is all the players that have been elbowed because they can’t play the system, yet he plays Enzo, absolutely useless, takes Lavia off who was running the show and Nkunku who was holding the ball, no Noni, we were crying our for some pace on the right, just drop Palmer in to Enzo position.

I actually saw a different team than last year. I was happy to see structure and I think they will get better. Remove Enzo and let Lavia always on the staring XI (who did great) in the double pivot with Caicedo (who should improve his form) and move Nkunku to the #10. Have Jackson/Mudryk/Sterling fight the LW spot against Neto and keep Guiu always on! On the other hand, Sanchez should just go. Very concerned about Colwill.
At this point i don't even care. I'm now indifferent. Win or lose, the excitement or frustration is no longer there. I lost my chelsea knowing that our new management are naive and arrogant and at the same time ignorant about football. You need to listen to the commentators analysis of chelsea during the game and it sums it up for me.

This was an expected result as you said Younes. Our game have been disorganized from the start.
1. Gusto & Enzo made tonnes of passing errors. Pretty much 90% of our through-balls were intercepted or wasted.
2. Sanchez was decent, can't blame him for the 2 goals.
3. Palmer and Nkunku are playing out of their natural position.
4. Lavia was decent, I believe we need only one CDM in a game, not 2 at the same time.
5. Colwill-Fofana are getting there, it was an improved performance to pre-season.
6. Jackson was rusty, but I believe he needs a bit more game time to be fully fit.

Do you also know that his strengths are take ons (especially from wide areas), shooting and crossing? Are you aware that we were not even playing to his strengths? Have you looked at the games and his numbers where he was playing to his strengths as an advanced 8 ( Charlton, Crystal palace and West Bromwich) instead we were using him to sheild and support Enzo and Caseido? Are you even aware that even with that he was still able to be productive in attack especially when he only had Cucarella to protect? Are you even aware of his role of protecting our young squad from their own errors like when madueke neglected the backpost against Brighton and he had to win the header at the back dispite? Do you know that the low block against Chelsea was because of how he got the team out of the press buy receiving behind the press and bullying his marker? Did you really consider all his seasons before you concluded that he is good for locking down games only?
