The Do 335 can have a major impact if enter srrvice in late 1943 early 1944 as a heavyfighter bomber on the Eastern front to enforce the FW 190 units and eventually replace ju 88 and as fighter in Defence of Germany .on the eestetn front and latter at least 200 -300 aircraft over Normandy on D D ay but for this the program have to be start in 1939

Well, it's a good thing it didn't get a chance to shine. The Allies might have lost the war.
The Germans were their own worst enemy. Too complex in the new aircraft and tanks, making high numbers impossible.
It was ingenious and shiws tge power if dedign abd engineering excellence.
It also shows how politicians who comment or have power need qualifications for what they are presiding over. We see the same thing today, with uneducated and ignorant politicians with degrees in Law or humanities, ride rough shot over things such as renewables, wuth no knowledge of science or engineering making uninformed decisions!
