    What a beautiful video. Absolutely in love with Banff it’s such an incredible experience and feeling you get when you’re there that I recommend anyone to visit. This is why I want to move from Ottawa to Calgary so I can be closer to the Rockies.

    Luxury cannot be found in a summary of cocktails or dishes. It’s in the stories. Banff Springs Hotel was founded in 1888, so there has to be a good story or two. Or probably a few hundred.

    The Fairmont Banff Springs was Our most disappointing stay in Canada. We were so looking forward to staying there but were given a tiny room and the staff were rude and not interested in us. We were told that if a conference is on the staff swarm around them as they are better tip payers than standard tourists. Definitely go to Banff but don't bother with the Fairmont.

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  2 года назад +1

      Oh, wow that's not good. We stayed there once before too and found the room small, but they've renovated since then. But no excuse for being rude....

      Apparently most of the fairmont staff is rude unfortunately. At a lot of fairmont locations, not just Banff.

    For $3500, I would’ve flown to Phuket, stayed a week at the JW Marriott at Mai Khao beach, visited Maya Bay on a day trip in a private boat, massages all day, enjoy a private beach with endless clean sand all to myself, and then fly back home to Canada. And have $1000 still left in my pocket. I have stayed at the Banff Springs many times over many years and find it completely over priced and incredibly underwhelming. You are paying a 95% mark up charge for their name unfortunately

    • @MustDoCanada

    • @kaiaswrld
      @kaiaswrld 2 года назад +1

      The prices are also jacked up right now because our borders were closed for so long and Banff relies on international tourists to make money. So a lot of those companies are just trying to stay afloat right now coming out of the pandemic

    Stop the bs - stayed there a few times and every time I regretted every dollar spent, food is next to shit and very bland, you can get that same view thru bnb, and the suites were definitely outdated and not worth the cost, overall that place is a strong 6/10 mainly cuz a good handful of the guests there think they’re on high pedestals, very entitled, not the vibes here especially if you one for the culture.
