Adverbs of place.
Adverbs of place describe where something happens.
Adverbs of place add extra details about: location, direction, distance, movement.
Adverbs of time.
Adverbs of time describe when something happens.
Adverbs of time can also describe how long something happens and express the duration of an action.
Adverbs of frequency.
Adverbs of frequency describe how often something happens (how many times somebody or something does an activity).
Adverbs of manner.
Adverbs of manner describe how something happens. Adverbs of manner tell us by what method or in what way something happens.
Adverbs of degree.
Adverbs of degree describe how much (or to what extent) we do something.
