    I love how your videos is just pure useful information, but it's not a bit hard to consume it. Keep up the good work!

    Not only teaches how to seal it and secure it, also demonstrates and shows the results of the work done. Well done man, hope this vid spread like wildfire, this is gold

    Thank you. I have a few inlet crossing swims coming up with a heavy pack and this really helped. Have a great day mate.

    Super cool. Never thought about using two garbage bags. I was taught to use the bivy bag, and wrap 550 cord around it like a present. Beaner to sling to 550 cord and swim with rifle ready to go.
    New issued bivy bags we get have a zipper that runs half way, so this is a great alternative.

    Great tutorial thanks, I used a variation of this to do an ocean swim around a obstacle on a recent hike. Also really impressed by your reference to Archimedes' Law!!

    Great video tbh I didn’t expect the ruck floatation device to support both you in the ruck sack but you pulled it off🔥

      Thanks! I appreciate the feedback! Yeah, some basic physics. Even if your ruck is super heavy, it will generally float.

      Thanks! Wasn’t easy, I had to swim out, reposition the drone, get back in the water and swim again for every different angle shot. 😄

    What happened to the old school poncho raft? Two soldiers, two ponchos, some 550, done. Gen z uses trash bags. 😂

    • @pousinboots
      @pousinboots  9 месяцев назад +3

      This is ONE way to waterproof your rucksack. The intent here is to cross on an individual basis and getting it done quickly compared to the “poncho raft”. That requires more time, 2 rucksacks, 2 ponchos and 2 PAX.

    Can you make the same video using a poncho?

    • @pousinboots
      @pousinboots  2 года назад +1

      You are correct. There is a way however I haven't learned how to do it yet. Once I do, I'll make a video.

    I thought is was done with two ponchos

      I have a friend who told me about that too however I was never officially taught. Once I learn how to do it right, I'll make a video.

    Is there not a dry bag that comes issued with the rucksack?

    • @rustyshackelford6834
      @rustyshackelford6834 2 года назад +1

      I think a couple of empty 5-quart canteens filled with air would also help with this.

    • @pousinboots
      @pousinboots  2 года назад +1

      No. No dry bag comes with it. You get issued wet weather bags separately.

    • @davidbrunner4413
      @davidbrunner4413 2 года назад +3

      The dry bag keeps the contents of the pack dry, it doesn't help you with the soggy pack you've gotta put on your back on the other side of the river

    Hilarious, try this in a river that is actually flowing

      Depends on how much current you’re talking about. This is one option among many. You’re probably thinking of a different situation.
