It's actually a really great board game to play with people. But not if you're there for minigames. They are NOT the focus. They're actually kinda' rare and so many of them are just _"press A to see if you won!"_ There's some gems in there, though.
@Will-i-m gameplay I wouldn't exactly say Sonic Shuffle is an exact copy of Mario Party despite being developed by the same company. It does have a lot of unique gameplay mechanics that the Mario Party games lacked; drawing cards allows more precise movement rather than rolling dice and hoping to land on the right number, the characters can move freely across the board instead of just one direction with the occasional fork in the road, you obtain the Precioustone Pieces by battling monsters in card battles rather than spending currency, and the game ends when all seven Precioustone Pieces are collected rather than having to wait for a certain number of turns to end. Also, each character has their own unique movement and battle abilities so that they don't all have the same gameplay mechanics like the Mario Party characters.
@Will-i-m gameplay I do agree with you in that I would like to see improved AI in Sonic Shuffle 2, namely ones that don't take your best card even if they already have the same kind of card. (It was even satirized in Roger Van Der Weide's "Sonic Generations in 8 Minutes" video.)I am aware that you have to land on event spaces to play mini-games (and half the time, you get Mini Events instead), but there are also board-specific mini-games that happen at random (indicated by a flashing "Accident!" banner). Each board has two, except Fourth Dimension Space, which has one. I'm thinking that if my petition on Change.org to get Sega to sell official "The Carbuncle ate itself" merchandise on the Sega Shop gets at least 100 signatures, I might make a video explaining what I'd like to see in a sequel to Sonic Shuffle.
I had a love/hate relationship with this game. Playing with friends was fun, and using the VMU so only you could see your cards was awesome, but as fun as the minigames were, the loading times killed any momentum. We never finished a game due to the crazy long loading times basically inbetween every turn, sometimes multiple times a turn.
+Mike Lachman The developers did try to make the loading screens useful by giving them hints that explained what the Forcejewels do. For example: CARBUNCLE - A fairy that likes to eat Forcejewels. (And has a huge appetite!)
Wish there was a sequel to Sonic Shuffle. So much untapped potential to fix/improve upon everything from the first game. Also, the art style is unique, which separates itself from other Sonic games.
+Master Vidxad Agreed. What I'd like to see in a sequel to Shuffle are the same gameplay aspects as the original, such as using cards to travel across the board and battle enemies, collecting seven gemstones, and the game ending when all seven are collected, but also aspects more in line with the Sonic franchise. New playable characters such as Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Blaze, and Silver, the Chaos Emeralds in place of the Precioustones, the Badniks in place of the Precioustone Monsters, and stages from the Sonic games such as Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and Casino Night.
One thing Sonic Shuffle has going for it is the visuals. Because, correct me if I'm wrong, but, this is pretty much the only Sonic game with a cel shaded visual style, something that, in my opinion, really suits the series stylistically.
I'll throw this out there but I honestly feel Sonic Shuffle is one of those games where it could honestly benefit from a rom hack (or iso hack hehe). I find the battle mechanics fine and the minigames fun, it's just that progression in this game is so frustratingly long, so long that no one in their right mind is gonna attempt a 7 precioustone game over a 50 turn game of Mario Party. If hackers were to one day tackle this game some of the nuances they could fix up in all honesty would be: -Making spaces like the shop and precioustone spots pass through spaces like how Mario Party does it for shops and stars, heck give em an option to choose yes or no to using said space (might as well since that significantly stops players from getting the right card to land on em) Tweaking the computer AI so that they actually match their difficulties. I don't think anyone's enjoying themselves when the computer players know every little detail on easy or normal. And lastly if even possible, revamp the card system so that it feels more player friendly, especially since most would rather play this game on an emulator to cut down load times. All in all I feel Sonic Shuffle isn't that terrible a game, just bogged down by poor game design choices that imo make it feel worse. There's been times where improvement hacks have made games much better to play through, and imo Sonic Shuffle could potentially benefit from that if even a little. For now though it's wishful thinking.
+GreenShinobi70 As someone in the minority of people who liked Shuffle, I agree, and the aspects you described are all things that could be in a sequel if Sega decides to make it. Lost World has a 63 metacritic with 22 positive reviews, 33 mixed reviews, and 9 negative reviews. Which means significantly less people consider it to be a bad game while most people think it's ok. But "nobody likes Lost World."
I've been noticing we have this consequentialist narrative going on, like you know the internals of Sonic development from the externals of it, kinda like conspiracy theories are formed, with enough evidence of the facts so that claims about non-facts can be smuggled in too. I don't believe that Sonic Team ever blamed the idea of, I guess adventure games up to Sonic '06 not working, they just did that kind of thing until eventually they didn't. What they say in interviews is just their feelings at the time, and don't necessarily spell out how they made their further decisions just because the decision matches their feeling. Sonic 06 was deliberately book-ending the metatextual way of creating Sonic games, those heavy narrative, tonally like SatAM-style games, and it was always to go out with a last hurrah. It wasn't a failing reboot intended to keep going forever with that tone, that's what the metatextual message in the whole snuffing of the flame for a happy birthday was all about. They had already made the creative, and perhaps corporate, decision that from then on they want to be more light hearted, probably BECAUSE it was getting kinda Ken Pendersy and complicated from their own part, and they didn't have the skill or the willingness to write stories the same way Marvel and DC keep up their convoluted lateral continuities by keeping up with the Adventure formula. So they ended the same way Mario Galaxy ended, with the message to just have uncomplicated, fun stories, not to copy Mario but because that just works better for actually writing loose stories and put the gameplay development first. Since then, working from that clear table they started exploring gameplay mechanics with hack and slash and boost in Unleashed, and were able to turn in pretty solid work for the future to a lot of people's agreeable surprise. A lot of people LOVE boost gameplay. It's just these old fans who think they can read minds by reading translated interview snippets don't realize that neither do Sonic Team slavishly follow some "fan response", they don't actually even listen THAT closely. They're just creators with limited pool of ideas and sometimes running out of them, but doing what they like, like when they came back to Sonic EXtreme to revamp it into the Lost World. Only reason it, arguably, looks so much like Mario is because all games tended to struggle not looking the same in the 90s, and still do. Wisps are still around because they're quick and easy power-ups, and devs still want to try design power-ups. Zavok is a bowser clone because he's a dragon clone, from the beaten dead horse of rescue the princess -narrative, but the reason they go there is because that narrative works for games. It works for the creator by letting you get going from it. This is the minimal assumption you can make form just looking at what's happpening, rather than wiring all these red strings from interview quotes trying to weave some grand conspiracy about listening to the wrong fans.
@@littenfire3563 But Sonic had a house in an official art, and in secret rings he was siting in one. But presumably he stays outside his house most of the time.
@@NativS2002So Sonic is essentially Scott Pilgrim in all Scott Pilgrim vs The World media (if you know what I’m talking about)? As in, Sonic is just bumming out at Tails’ house just ‘cause.
wish I could see a review that actually talked about the cool aesthetic of this game and the ideas that were actually pretty interesting. it's also pretty fun to get good enough to beat the cheating AI especially if you've got a friend to play with to coordinate against the AI. i don't really know a ton about game board design but i do think the actual game board navigation is pretty engaging.
More than just about anything, this is a game I've desperately wanted to be good. It has so many cool concepts with an amazing aesthetic but it does so many things wrong on what feels like a fundamental level. It's commonly criticized for being a "Mario Party" ripoff but it's the numerous divergences that cause most of the problems. There's no reason navigation had to be slow. There's no reason Precioustones had to require a boring battle to get. There's no reason rings had to be practically worthless due to rare and overpriced item shops. There's no reason the game lacks a hard time limit to keep the pacing of the match going. There's no reason why Void, this game's equivalent to Boo, picks a random person to steal from. There are so many confusing changes to the formula like this that, on their own, make this game an annoying and dull experience. The incompetence of the minigame and board design, the obnoxious and frequent load times, and the overall abysmal pacing of this game are yet more reasons this game just isn't very good. It's something I've played a lot and really tried to have fun with, but beyond the occasional good minigame it was always a serious drag. Sadly, they'll never try to make a better take on this concept. It's one that deserves a good game.
"Rings are useless" you literally don't even know what the fuck you are talking about like 95% of people who complain about this game. Most rings is the most important emblem in the game. I know its fun to shit on a game you are bad at and don't understand though
Sonic doesn’t have a space on the board to take advantage of, because when he plays a card with the same numerical value twice in 2 consecutive turns, he can move double the spaces. It certainly has its flaws, but always a blast with friends and family. Not sure why anyone would play a ‘party game’ solo.
The greatest party game of all time. Wish the single player mode was a bit more challenging though. It was cake, even as a kid. I still have my copy from the early 2000s.
I also love Eggman's voice in this game with those lines. -> 6:31 "What evil invention should I use this time?" "This is what I'll do to you!!" Someone should do memes with those epic lines or use them as references to remember the few good things about this game.
Deem Bristow is the GOAT Dr. Eggman VA. He consistently nailed the role and knew how to deliver menacing lines that were sometimes a little cheesy too. RIP.
I recommend using the Cutscene Revamp mod for SA2. It gives every cutscene widescreen and fixes a lot of the visual shortcomings of modern SA2's cutscenes. You should also use an audio fix mod to provide a better, less memeable sound mix.
By the way, Sonic doesn't have any shortcuts but he has a special spin dash move that makes up for it. It lets him move double the spaces if you use the same number card twice in a row.
Ngl the style of the characters in the intro is pretty much what I would like the artstyle to look like in Sonic games since it makes them look even more like the Adventure artwork.
My wife and I, major Mario Party 1-7 fans, thought we’d try Sonic Shuffle since Hudsonsoft helped with it...and it had a lot of interesting stuff going for it while still not being fun. It was as fun as the new Switch Mario Party.
Played this game a lot with my brother and sister when it came out. It was the first party game we played so we had no concept of bad, but we were sonic fans so yeah no problems there. If I remember right, the campaign was multiplayer? So the three of us would work against the AI player, which was usually Sonic or Knuckles, and we'd just take all of his cards, just bully him whenever possible. It didn't matter which of the three of us won in the end, so long as we finished the story - that was the point for us. So maybe that's why we enjoyed the game. We treated it like a co-op game, and had a lot of fun and good memories because of it. It's been a lifetime since I played it so I don't doubt that it's a bad game, but for the time that it came out and for the target audience, it was solid, worth the money for sure.
Wait a minute, THIS is the game where Sonic got his house from secret rings? No wonder they never bother referencing the fact, they rather forget this ever happened.
I bought this game at a flea market as a kid because it was under $10. Still have it and man was this shit hard asf. Never unlocked any of the other characters at all 😂. I actually would like to see it remade in the modern day as a party game or just have it combine with Mario Party and make it part of the Mario & Sonic series
“The minigames are the meat an potato’s of party games.” Ya know who else had that mentality? NDCube when they made Mario Party Top 100. They learned real quick that the minigames were not the meat and potato’s lol
I remember when I found out that this game existed and it took me FOREVER to find a GameStop that had a copy of it. I also remember how disappointed I was when I booted up the game and realized how bad it was. lol
since this game is so forgotten and not talked about or covered, it would've been cool to see you talk about the boards, mini-games, and unlockable characters more in depth. A bit dissapointing that the game's treated so flippantly, even though its understandably boring. It feels like there's still a lot more interesting history to talk about in a game that was Sonic's answer to Mario Party
As someone who grew up playing the game, I've always had a Love/Hate relationship with it: On one side, the music score is SO unique, and the aesthetic of "Cell-shaded characters over realistically textured backgrounds" is something I wish was used more in Sonic games. The pre-rendered cutscenes look great (IMO) and there's also a lot of hand drawn art spread through the game, which is a treat. On the other hand, I HATED the CPU for being so unfair and frustrating to deal with. Realizing now that it always knows your best cards makes me hate it even more
I held a copy of Sonic Shuffle in my hands one time my dad explained it as being like a videogame boardgame and that was enough for me to put it back on the shelf 😁
37 years old now and I honestly don't give a rat's ass if it's Mario Party, but with Sonic characters. To me, it was still fun & my friends played it almost all the time after school... After we finished our homework. Playing with the boys & later watching a crappy movie from Blockbuster while eating a Domino's pizza. Those were the days X,D
I wish some of the other 3D Sonic games were cel-shaded or want some of the upcoming new 3D Sonic games to be cel-shaded which would suited the 3D Sonic games. Why is only Sonic Shuffle cel-haded, is it because the SEGA and Sonic Team company doesn't have high budget enough for cel-shaded graphic for the other 3D Sonic games as well?
Honestly, I love this game. I got it on release as a kid, but the story mode is notoriously hard. I was save scumming to win before I even had a comprehension of what that was. Also, Sonic is totally gimped as a character. He has no shortcuts and is forced to move double spaces if he pulls the same number twice. This hurts more than it helps.
Actually J there was also an obscure Sonic party game released for Sega Picco called Sonic's Gameworld which features Sonic, Tails and Amy in their classic designs. It pretty much has the Sonic Drift characters. So technically Sonic has had three party games. But yeah this game sucks, its the worst of the Drummond era. But strangely the characters aren't terrible character wise, but at the same time not great. Outside of Tails, the original voice cast are among my favorites for each respective character. (though I love Mike Pollock as Eggman)
I believe sonic s ability was that his “S” card has a higher range (believe it was just to 7) which wasn’t too hard to time to hit. Useful for moving and boss fights. Always shuffle your cards when Ai hovers over because yeah they cheat
The mini games were cool ..it was just a bummer that they weren’t always guaranteed even if you land on the space . I also enjoyed unlocking super sonic 😂
+Dustin Nunn It probably helps (or doesn't, depending on your view of the game) that it was developed by Hudson Soft, the same company that developed the first eight Mario Party games.
I want sega to make another sonic party game. They should sonic sports games too. I wanna play as rouge in more games. I was disappointed she was only playable in the volleyball even in mario & sonic at the rio olympic games and I didn't bother picking up mario & sonic at the tokyo olympic games since she's once again only playable in one event. Sonic should branch off more when it comes to spin-off games.
I still love this game. - The games aren’t that difficult. - The benefit of Sonic is that you can go double the amount of spaces if you use 2 of the same card number.
Yeah but hey, time passes and I guess people are starting to defend or warm up to Shuffle I guess. That or they have no opinion outside of "it's a Mario Party clone" so we need some form of clarification of whether or not it's crap or an underrated title.
Man I had so much fun with this game idk why but all the kids had dream casts in the gated community I loved at and we would all gather together and play together it was sooo much fun. Brings back a great period of my childhood
I vividly remember staying home sick from school one time back in like 2001 or so and playing this all day to unlock Super Sonic. It's a blast on multiplayer but the AI is so cheap it made winning solo seem super random rather than any skill involved. The music and aesthetics were excellent though, really miss this era of Sega and Sonic before SA2.
i played sonic shuffle in 2015 and how funny the game it was but the last stage have hard cpu character player and that time i felt the young people are in nights and doing bad things cause im in night so much and feel so safe and emotional and lovely this game so good for play with your family and friends thanks sega / sonic team
@@KittyKatty999 yeah basically that, I adored the first 3, but after that the minigames and things to do were scarce in sochi I'm pretty sure. Never played Rio but apparently it was bad. The new one does look interesting though (even though it's still too expensive for me to buy atm)
You know I actually enjoy playing Sonic Shuffle more than the Mario Party games. But unfortunately it seems to unpredictably crash on emulators and there is no way to see your cards since you don't have physical VMUs. I do have a Dreamcast but you spend more time loading than playing.
FYI Ryan did Knuckles in the E3 build of SA1 (Aka 95% of the voice lines) then he was swapped out (EXCEPT THEY USED HIS "OH NO" VOICE CLIP FOR THE BOSS FIGHT LMFAOOOO-) so him being reused in Shuffle makes sense to me
I loved this game. I loved the maps and how each of them had some unique change to it toward the end, the mini games were a blast, I liked how the card system game you bit a of control, I liked how each character had some special card or movement ability and I don't know why but I remember being invested in the story. The force jewels were fun to use and plentiful. A few things I remember disliking was having to wait for the computer to do their dumb battles, I felt like the wait time lasted forever. But I remember really enjoying myself playing this game.
Sonic Shuffle is basically Mario Party + Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. Void is kind of like Antasma (one of my favorite villains from the Mario and Luigi series).
J, will you be covering a video about Sonic Side Games and how we haven’t been receiving more to aid Sonic? It seems like the only Sonic game we have to look forward to is one every 5 years or an anniversary just to get one official game. Sega seems to keep banking on fans and fan games to pull them through until they officially have something. Do you think that’s bad business or just as bad of being silent on a major brand?
Fun fact: Void was played by Lani Minella, who also was the original voice of Rouge and was in charge of voice acting until the 4Kids changeover. Lumina was played by Elara Distler, who also played Tikal in Sonic Adventure.
Its been a while since I played this game but I liked it as a kid. Got frustrated when the cpu stole my cards, and hated the boss battles but I beat the story and unlocked super sonic.
I feel like everyone already knows that Sonic Shuffle sucks. But since no one’s actually played it, no one actually knows why.

From what I've heard, they had the Lost World port already made, but couldn't release it because of the Nintendo deal.
How do we tell ‘em?
So what we learned is sonic needs to be homeless
Isn't he already homeless
I mean we never even seen his house before
I always thought he was. I always figured he was a nomad
@@littenfire3563 But Sonic had a house in an official art, and in secret rings he was siting in one. But presumably he stays outside his house most of the time.
I like to think that Sonic lives with Tails at Mystic Ruins, but also spends a lot of the time Traveling around the World.
@@NativS2002So Sonic is essentially Scott Pilgrim in all Scott Pilgrim vs The World media (if you know what I’m talking about)? As in, Sonic is just bumming out at Tails’ house just ‘cause.
The Carbunkle ate itself.
*Guuu?!*
"The Carbuncle ate itself?! What does that mean?!"
wish I could see a review that actually talked about the cool aesthetic of this game and the ideas that were actually pretty interesting.
it's also pretty fun to get good enough to beat the cheating AI especially if you've got a friend to play with to coordinate against the AI.
i don't really know a ton about game board design but i do think the actual game board navigation is pretty engaging.
The Carbuncle ate itself.
That is all.
LMAOOOOOOO, FUCK THAT ITEM!!!!
What dose that mean
@@C0D3_2 Carbuncle is a force jewel that eats other force jewels and then eats itself.
Sadly to unlock the other characters you have to play that bullshit story mode
@@TheNadroj10 oh yeah, I gave up on that.
Playing a party game solo? It's fun; I'll tell you that.
I think Tails's voice was the most accurate to what I think he should sound like in this game
Dont need a mod on Dolphin, thanks
ok ima be honest i like this game and yes ofc for the mini games LOL
+SonicAI - Sonie As do I. I wish it had a sequel or remake for modern consoles.
By the way, Sonic doesn't have any shortcuts but he has a special spin dash move that makes up for it. It lets him move double the spaces if you use the same number card twice in a row.
"Since this was a Sonic game released prior to 2011, it has a story."
This is the single best line anyone has ever said in regards to Sonic.
Did my eye's see Beta Wisps in this footage. Especially Spikes!
Ngl the style of the characters in the intro is pretty much what I would like the artstyle to look like in Sonic games since it makes them look even more like the Adventure artwork.
Meh. I like Sonic Shuffle. Me, my sister and cousins used to play it all the time together on weekends
My wife and I, major Mario Party 1-7 fans, thought we’d try Sonic Shuffle since Hudsonsoft helped with it...and it had a lot of interesting stuff going for it while still not being fun. It was as fun as the new Switch Mario Party.
I have nostalgia for Sonic Shuffle, it takes me way back. I wouldn't mind a solid revisit of the formula or just another Sonic party game in general.
Only game where you can have Sonic and Super Sonic play alongside each other. This game is my guilty pleasure.
1:05 Is, IS THAT ELISE IN THE BACKGROUND!?!?
I bought this game at a flea market as a kid because it was under $10. Still have it and man was this shit hard asf. Never unlocked any of the other characters at all 😂. I actually would like to see it remade in the modern day as a party game or just have it combine with Mario Party and make it part of the Mario & Sonic series
“The minigames are the meat an potato’s of party games.”
Ya know who else had that mentality? NDCube when they made Mario Party Top 100. They learned real quick that the minigames were not the meat and potato’s lol
My favorite thing about this game is that Gamma comes back in a playable way without ruining his story.
I loved some of the mini games, hated the chance events, and loathed my siblings for getting those stupid gem stones. Gahhh I miss my Dreamcast
I mean...
Of course Sonic's house is boring, he's barely even there most of the time.
As someone who grew up playing the game, I've always had a Love/Hate relationship with it:
On one side, the music score is SO unique, and the aesthetic of "Cell-shaded characters over realistically textured backgrounds" is something I wish was used more in Sonic games.
The pre-rendered cutscenes look great (IMO) and there's also a lot of hand drawn art spread through the game, which is a treat.
On the other hand, I HATED the CPU for being so unfair and frustrating to deal with.
Realizing now that it always knows your best cards makes me hate it even more
@5:36 Ryan Drummond is the best Sonic. And I'm glad he's been reprising his role as Sonic, in Emi Jones's audio show, "Sonic And Tails R".
8:47
Sonic had the ability to move double spaces
They did give him "something"
I held a copy of Sonic Shuffle in my hands one time my dad explained it as being like a videogame boardgame and that was enough for me to put it back on the shelf 😁
37 years old now and I honestly don't give a rat's ass if it's Mario Party, but with Sonic characters. To me, it was still fun & my friends played it almost all the time after school... After we finished our homework. Playing with the boys & later watching a crappy movie from Blockbuster while eating a Domino's pizza. Those were the days X,D
You are the most consistent youtuber I know keep it up!
The carbuncle ate itself
dont let this distract you all from the fact that the carbuncle ate itself
Watch out, incoming messages about the status of the carbuncle.
@Starscream91 Oh god, that's what they were referencing?
@Starscream91 ...i wasn't expecting that...
That fairy design that's almost like Nights, but was in Sonic X was in this game, huh, didn't know that offhand.
“AND YOU CANT EVEN SEE YOUR OWN CARDS” - Arin Hanson
Yes you can. They are displayed on your VMU screen
For years it's been like you purposely tease us to finally do a Sonic Advent 2 review. lol But thankfully wait is almost over.
(3:44) Man, am I the only one who actually likes Secret Rings? Also, good review as usual, can't wait for SA2!
Am I the only one who liked this game. The Dreamcast was m fiery 3d console with sonic shuffle being my first party game. It might just be nostalgia
I remember beating this game as a kid. I turned off the console when ever the AI did a dirty move.
Yeah Sonic should have stayed who he was.
Sonic Shuffle is basically Mario Party in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Except it's nowhere near as good.
+Dustin Nunn It probably helps (or doesn't, depending on your view of the game) that it was developed by Hudson Soft, the same company that developed the first eight Mario Party games.
@@FlyingDuckMan360 It doesn't help since Hudson Soft failed to translate what made Mario Party so fun over to Sonic Shuffle.
- The benefit of Sonic is that you can go double the amount of spaces if you use 2 of the same card number.
jeez this game is 20 years old.
The title of the video makes it seem like it's an unpopular opinion lol.
Yeah but hey, time passes and I guess people are starting to defend or warm up to Shuffle I guess. That or they have no opinion outside of "it's a Mario Party clone" so we need some form of clarification of whether or not it's crap or an underrated title.
There was a Sonic game that tried to be like Mario Party series? You learn something new everyday.
when i saw the preview and saw bb i thought this was a perdium video that glitched HAHAH
Man I had so much fun with this game idk why but all the kids had dream casts in the gated community I loved at and we would all gather together and play together it was sooo much fun. Brings back a great period of my childhood
I used to love this game. Haven't played it in over a decade, but I've been meaning to give it another try.
Imagine if sega adds the dreamcast to nso and puts sonic shuffle on there before nintendo adds ANY mario party games to nso
Can't wait for J to shit on Tails' voice in the Heroes retrospective
"Look at all those Eggman robots"
I played it and it's not bad but it's not that good either.
Why does Super Sonic on the thumbnail look like he’s chewing something?
Sonic shuffle & KNUCKES
It's funny because you added and Knuckles after
i played sonic shuffle in 2015 and how funny the game it was but the last stage have hard cpu character player and that time i felt the young people are in nights and doing bad things cause im in night so much and feel so safe and emotional and lovely this game so good for play with your family and friends thanks sega / sonic team
Damn J, don't go that all out on my childhood, playing the first 3 Olympic games with friends was the shit back in the day.
Winter was the best in the series, in my opinion. It started getting bad after the London games, I think?
@@KittyKatty999 yeah basically that, I adored the first 3, but after that the minigames and things to do were scarce in sochi I'm pretty sure. Never played Rio but apparently it was bad. The new one does look interesting though (even though it's still too expensive for me to buy atm)
And yes, Vancouver 2010 on the wii is the best one
You know I actually enjoy playing Sonic Shuffle more than the Mario Party games. But unfortunately it seems to unpredictably crash on emulators and there is no way to see your cards since you don't have physical VMUs. I do have a Dreamcast but you spend more time loading than playing.
FYI Ryan did Knuckles in the E3 build of SA1 (Aka 95% of the voice lines) then he was swapped out (EXCEPT THEY USED HIS "OH NO" VOICE CLIP FOR THE BOSS FIGHT LMFAOOOO-) so him being reused in Shuffle makes sense to me
5:45 "I really miss this guy's Sonic"
_Have you watched Sonic&TailsR?_
I-i'm sorry but what? Can you kindly explain what that is?
@@kenwalkensdeadchannelcanal2886 Is a fan series made by EmuEmi featuring Ryan Drummond as Sonic and Mike Pollock as Eggman
This was my first party game. Was probably 4 or 5. Maybe it's nostalgia but I still like it. Even more than the N64 Mario party games
Sonic doesn't have a house in 06
Despite the hate Shuffle gets, it's still my favorite game of all time 😊
I legit never heard of this Sonic title until you brought it up.
4:42 I know u joke, but a playthrough of this did help me (an insomniac) get to sleep.
I rented this when it came out, and I tried so hard to love this game
Fun fact: Void was played by Lani Minella, who also was the original voice of Rouge and was in charge of voice acting until the 4Kids changeover. Lumina was played by Elara Distler, who also played Tikal in Sonic Adventure.
Remember guy
If sonic has a house is not a good game
Se you next time
This game was the best with friends. So fun.
Its been a while since I played this game but I liked it as a kid. Got frustrated when the cpu stole my cards, and hated the boss battles but I beat the story and unlocked super sonic.
5:00 Does anyone get Cosmo vibes?
I would be surprised if not given that her design was based on Lumina and Void.
This game came out before Sonic X
