This is incorrect, at least for my 2010 Civic DX. Putting car in the on position FIRST then holding the SEL RESET button worked for me. Tried it your method 4 times and non of them worked. Just an fyi.
Your way worked for me
That’s right way
Your way worked for me! Thanks!
Thank you! This video did not help but your comment worked for me thank you!
I can concur. 2011 Civic EXL held the sel reset button down with the key in the on position and it flashed within less than 5 seconds Let go and then hold again until oil life shows 100
The shop forgot to reset mine after the oil change. Thank you for saving me a trip back!
I'm happy to help
Thanks bud look this up on a whim thought I had to go back to Walmart or to a Honda dealer! You are saving tons of people aggravation however many views is how many people you helped.
How many liters y’all putting in when doing your oil change?
❤ thanks bro
Thank you for making this video, however it has nothing to do with turning the ignition, this can be done without doing that, but I appreciate the video my man, have a blessed day! 😀
Mine doesn’t work at all if I do what he said. I have to turn the ignition on and then hold the seal/reset button and then it flashes much sooner. I think he accidentally let up for an instant and then it started flashing because that’s what happened to me.
Thank you! Saved me a trip back to the mechanic!
Excellent video,short and very precise
Glad it was helpful!
I'm going to see if this will work on my honda civic 2010. My mechanic did the reset and it showed the miles. Then a couple days later the symbol of the wrench showed up and it said 15 days until oil change when I just had the oil change.
OK, but how to check how much oil life is left?
You don’t have to have it off when you start to hold it. Just make sure you’re on the oil life percentage on the dash and hold it
Thsnk you
Turn the car on (ignition off) then hold the button, wait for flash then hold again.
Thanks for the helpful video.
Thanks for the guide
Turning the ignition on then holding the button works better didn't work for me the other way around
Thank you , well needed video
Glad it was helpful!
This is not correct for my 2010 honda civic. I had to turn the key first to the on position first then press and hold the sel/reset button.
How do I reset the anti theft on a 2010 Honda Civi
Thankyou
You’re welcome 😊
Put your car on on position then press the reset button 20 seconds then it will flash
How do you switch back to the mile display?
You just press and release the reset button. Watch for the next free tool giveaway coming soon.

I'm happy to help. Thanks for watching.
Hi I notice that your tire pressure light is on, I have that problem too. You know how to reset that?
My light was on because the key was on and the engine was not running But the way to turn off the tire light will be to check all the tire pressure to the correct pressure and then just drive the car it should turn off after that .If it don't let me know next week I am away now but next week I can check on the computer at work.Thank you for watching Jim
I have that happen every time he gets cold out… And I live in Connecticut so pretty much every winter I have to deal with this shit you would know I change the tires and the pressure gauges already lol
Did not work you have to turn the key to the on position then hit that button then when it flashes you let off an hit it again until stop an says 100 percent
Thank you so much. Is there a way to set this for different types of oil. Regular oil verses full synthetic?
i think the car does it on its own
Thanks bro!
Thx man
Awesome!!!
Worked as you showed it. Thank You!
Glad it helped
Takes a couple seconds…lol
Sorry, but these instructions are *WRONG* !! To reset, you FIRST turn the key to the 2nd position AND THEN push the reset button for 15 seconds till it flashes, AND THEN push it again till it shows 100%
I know something was wrong waiting for so long
Yup thank you very much!!!
awesome! thank you!!
Thank you for watching
This does not work for my ex 1.8L 2010.
Turn key on
Hold sel/reset till oil flashes let go for a count of 5
Push an hold the same button again till it turns solid and stops flashing and it will return to 100% and maintenance light turns off.
Your method is wrong I spent a good 10 mins trying this.
Then did my own thing. Thanks dad for teaching me how fuck with my own shit miss you daily.
Thank you it worked
Glad it helped
Easy as this video
Thankyou sooooo much. It worked!!!
Bs
It's one thing to be watching this video to learn this but then at the important part, 4 additional videos pop up and block the thing!😡
I won't be subscribing to your crap esp if I can't see what I was looking for!
This video is a lie you need to press both buttons
Wrong way 👎👎👎
No I'm correct you must must be doing something wrong.
Thanks for making this video! Some models of this car you have to have it on first then hold it in, but either way I got mine reset. 🫶
Glad it helped!
