I remember seeing the episode that introduced the Cybertron Defense "team" (do I need those quotation marks there?) on Hasbro's website around the time it aired. And I really loved the molds back then. Wish more botcon/TFCC exclusives would let me see more use of them. Ah well, I can dream.
Same here. I wish RiD was closer to it in structure. Thats how you do a transformers kids show, crazy strength feats and a ton of transformation sequences. And a really cool theme.
Same way I lost my Armada Unicron waaay back in my childhood.... And my Cybertron Optimus too come to think of it... I need to find him. He's my favorite in my collection.
it's surprisingly easy to forget that in the show he's a space Scottish construction worker king... man that series was weird but it had such awesome music.
ARE YOU SURE IS NAMED METROPLEX AND NOT RATCHET? This toy has two things you like, transformation and noises. Now I think I have to buy one for myself...
When will we get to see Megatron? I bet because of his vehicle mode is like the batmobile, the skit will be about Batman wondering where his batmobile is. XD
Additional toy trivia: He uses the same odd hand peg as the optimus you showed as a size comparison. So they can actually switch weapons despite not using the 5mm peg system.
The thing about Metroplex is that in Galaxy force his name is Megalo Convoy, it's not that big of a deal, but the fact that so far the only transformers with Convoy in their names are either Optimus and Rodimus, I love that technically Metroplex is one of a "prime" in Galaxy force along side the other planet leaders Override (Nitro convoy), Scourge (Flame convoy) and Evac (Live convoy).
I think the instruction manual calls it "short work mode". Mine is the Galaxy force version so i cant confirm since its japanese. I prefer the short work version since he has much more bulk to it. He is just too damn thin in his tall mode :D Also you can attach the crane arm to his back in short work mode and it looks ggreat, like a third attak arm.
Wow it has been 10 years since the cybertron line! I remember wing saber being crazy hard to get, and arguably the best leader class optimus prime ever.
Congratulations on your addition! love your reviews! Also, we are waiting for it in our museum!) I hope it will appear and we will also take a review about it and put it up for people to view.
I just recently watched the entirety of Transformers Cybertron, and I noticed Metroplex’s vehicle mode was barely featured, and only from the front at that. They animators were probably trying to hide how ridiculous the vehicle mode is.
Hey EmGo, I would really love to see you do size comparisons with all of your Metroplex figures or any of your giant combiner figures or giant singular figures with your Studio Series Figures! Also your Planet X figures with your Studio Series figures!
Fun fact, Drillbit is a slightly enlarged repraint of Armada Megatron's minicon with his torso flipped. I always loved that mold and that was one of my reasons for liking this Metroplex
Drill Bit was actually reverse-engineered from Armada Megatron's partner Leader-1. I mean that literally, as the torso is upside down. The cockpit on his back is the wrong way round for vehicle mode because of his wider shoulders, which were the hips on Leader-1...
0:39 he looks depressed. Like his robot mode just fell to his knees and started crying in despair *edit* also he needs to have the giant planet Mini-con team attached to his pegs please
I remember this thing! I still have it somewhere in the house, but I remember the transformation being a bit too complicated for me when I was younger. But holy crap that Generations Metroplex is huge. By the way, did he not come with a tiny Optimus Prime that scaled in with the show? Mine came with it and it even fully transforms. Also, the skit doesn't properly reflect Metroplex's depiction in the show :P
I wanted Metroplex as a kid but never got him but when I my son was old enough (3yrs was my excuse) and I got back into collecting, I was finally to say I had Metroplex, different version but still Metroplex.
I've had this figure for a very long time and actually didn't know what his name was until now and I always thought he was something from ancient Egypt instead of a mining vehicle.
Came back to this video cause I'm thinking about trying to find this guy, and I think Drillbit is actually a retool of Leader One, the Minicon that came with Armada Megatron.
He looks really cool, I like him. I wish I could get him but I can't. And he did look like he was doing yoga, he looked like he was doing the child's pose. Anyway great review emgo keep up the awesome work. You ROCK.
Kind of a T- Rex thing going on with the taller robot mode... long legs, massive, but with tiny little arms. Would've looked a lot better if they'd built the arms so that they could slide down somehow (with the added bonus of being able to have the "Work Mode" with long ape-like arms! lol). Also, they could've filled the empty section at the back of the alt-mode with something that flipped up to become a little backpack, just to take away that skinny side profile. just seems like they could've put a bit more thought into this one.
I still have this figure, and it still holds a special spot on my shelf.
Same here
Got it by my brothers best friend its amazing
I have the giant starscream and feel the same way about it
Cool.
man...cybertron was such a great show and toy line! i remember watching all the time! deffinatly one of my favorite transformers series
+Lucas C same here

@@theolast9727 which rid RID 2001 or RID 2015
Yeah men ,and magatron was so badass and insanely powerful in this series holy shit, like Lord Boros from One punch man 💪 🤩
That's a quite accurate (for an Energon era toy)bucket-wheel excavator mode, actually.
*cybertron
Metroplex appeared in TF Cybertron
Metroplex looks like he "Dropped the soap" when he isn't in robot form
And now I can't unsee
Dam you
+LegendaryBricktures Yeah he looks like he's "awaiting his boyfriend" in alt mode there...
+LegendaryBricktures I guess its fitting his comes with a shovel... Now he can really pack it in. :)
+LegendaryBricktures he dropped the soap while doing his "Yoga exercises"
I still have that toy on the shelf. You combine Prime with that jet and give him Metro's weapon and that is one bad-ass Autobot.
that jet is Wing Saber
So, a crouching mode, a stoop to chat at parties mode, and a reach the top shelf mode. Got it.
I used to have him, but then he got lost somewhere. HOW DO I LOSE SOMETHING *THIS BIG*
Maybe he is trying to hide from you?
+Optimistic Pessimist I had no problem finding his Minicon partner though
Same way I lost my Armada Unicron waaay back in my childhood.... And my Cybertron Optimus too come to think of it... I need to find him. He's my favorite in my collection.
max chavez
Blame Unicron. :P
One day my entire neighborhood got lost.
Kids, THIS is what a $70(CAD) toy would've gotten you in 2006 (God I feel old now...)
Great review, as always.
i was 2 - 3 years old in 2006 so i dont think iwas old enough to ask my parents that iw anted tihs XD
Where did ya get that logo transformers sticking the middle finga
@@LS-jk3fk i was 1 and some months old so neither did i
Now 80 bucks (CAD) gets you the Siege: Galaxy Upgrade Optimus
had to rewatch this review just because i unearthed my old metroplex thankfully still complete except his key (but i have other keys apparentlyj
He was super cool but I liked Quickmix's design a lot more. Menasor was cool too.
The amount of times I have pinched myself trying to transform this guy... Great shelfpiece though, quite imposing but damn does he hurt.
I finally figured out just WTF he turns into... the giant chainsaw-thingy that Ghost Rider took over in that the second movie in the mining quarry.
Yep
it's surprisingly easy to forget that in the show he's a space Scottish construction worker king... man that series was weird but it had such awesome music.
ARE YOU SURE IS NAMED METROPLEX AND NOT RATCHET? This toy has two things you like, transformation and noises. Now I think I have to buy one for myself...
Juan Soto LOL,Ratchet has been used for the wrong character. It's for this guy,not the medic.
I think he looks like idw Fortress Maximus. Great review as always!
RUclips suddenly reccomended this 6 years old video. I wonder why...
I love how optimus asks metroplex to get something on a high shelf when he can FLY
How come they don't give this many ratchets to ratchet?
I don't know it would be obvious
Not funny
@@SheathedSword1764 Okay?
There's one thing I hate about this Channel.... The subcribers you deserve more
UmbreonGaming//UmbreonEdits I agree
ikr he needs more
this channel is awsome no matter what
i love it he deserves 30 million subs
I think you would like the Cybertron Defense Scattershot mould.
to me in vehicle mode he looks like he's going "TAKE ME SENPAI!!!!!!"
Wow finally! I've been waiting for you to review this version of Metroplex.
I love his weapon it's unique and awesome on the show
This gets recommended when Legacy comes out 😭
Does this Metroplex heed the call of the last Prime
All heed the call of the last Prime
Hahahahahahahahahhaha
kolby johnson that made me laugh
I still have this one, had it since it came out a long time ago. Good old times.
Man Transformers can be really expensive for being just molded plastic
g1 Voices in Cybertron OP and Metro... excellent
I have been waiting for this! Thank you Emgo!

Yup
11:27 G1 Metroplex is very precious to me
Yes ne too

3:32 That is correct. I've had the figure myself for about 9 years now
Speed Stryker v
?
I guess 11 now?
RUclips recommends this all of a sudden. I feel I'm being told something.
Metroplex is the biggest Autobot of them all
I FINALLY GET TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TRANSFORM THIS YES
Wow it has been 10 years since the cybertron line!
I remember wing saber being crazy hard to get, and arguably the best leader class optimus prime ever.
Well, looking back at this, I still love this figure! But Emgo, you thinking of getting Legacy Cybertron Universe Metroplex?
Congratulations on your addition! love your reviews! Also, we are waiting for it in our museum!) I hope it will appear and we will also take a review about it and put it up for people to view.
Could you review cybertron Primus? He is the reason I love transformers.
+Ernestdoesgaming Andstuff I don't have him
+emgo316 hay can you make a Playlist for kamen rider stuff?
+allen acosta I currently have 6 playlists for kamen rider stuff
+emgo316 o sorry i am useing my phone it must have glitch for me
I have primus, it was my dream to have since I was 7, two years ago I manage to get myself one and I love it
I can’t believe the new legacy line reused the this figure
Metroplex looks like he is bending down
back when Hasbro used good sturdy non flimsy plastic
Almost 10 years later and this video is still awesome
Metroplex's mini-con is a remold of Armada Megatron's mini-con Leader 1
I found this toy a couple years ago for 6 or 10 dollars. I don't quite remember. Except it didn't come with drillbit or the huge arm.
Can we just appreciate how this guys transformations is just 90% getting taller
I just recently watched the entirety of Transformers Cybertron, and I noticed Metroplex’s vehicle mode was barely featured, and only from the front at that. They animators were probably trying to hide how ridiculous the vehicle mode is.
Just wondering, did you have any plan to grab Legacy Metroplex. Haha.
CW Rook kinda looks alike to that minicon in robot mode to me XD
Legacy Cybertron Metroplex was Revealed!
Hey EmGo, I would really love to see you do size comparisons with all of your Metroplex figures or any of your giant combiner figures or giant singular figures with your Studio Series Figures! Also your Planet X figures with your Studio Series figures!
metroplex looks like a power ranger suit or zord in battle mode
Fun fact, Drillbit is a slightly enlarged repraint of Armada Megatron's minicon with his torso flipped. I always loved that mold and that was one of my reasons for liking this Metroplex
Repaint*
YOU KNOW THOSE LEGO HOUSES ITS LIKE IT BUT YOU CAN REBUILD IT AS A CAR TO
Ahhhh, memories, I remember using his weapon to fight my sister, wait a minute...I must have been a very annoying little bugger back then...
Drill Bit was actually reverse-engineered from Armada Megatron's partner Leader-1. I mean that literally, as the torso is upside down. The cockpit on his back is the wrong way round for vehicle mode because of his wider shoulders, which were the hips on Leader-1...
Retro reviews are always welcome :) This guy is awesome, I'm still on the hunt for it.
+Excavenger u jelly i have one ;-DD
Metroplex was my first TF I am sooooo happy u made this vid!!!!!
Next time you do comparisons in a review could you also add a shot of all the versions of the character in question together?
fun fact; that vehicle actually exists irl and it's metal
0:39 he looks depressed. Like his robot mode just fell to his knees and started crying in despair *edit* also he needs to have the giant planet Mini-con team attached to his pegs please
Just picked this guy up recently. Love him.
if memory serves, the "work mode" was in the show for all of like 2 minutes
Man brings back memories waking up for school at 6 in the morning.
Whenever I see someone less fortunate than I. And let's face it, who isn't, less fortunate than I? my tender heart tends to start to bleed.
His alt mode bout to make me act up🤤🥴
You should make a video just showing all your fuge figures together, even if they don't exactly fit on your table

WARNING! Lower your volume when he shows the articulations because the ratchets are loud.
Let’s go! Legacy Titan Class Metroplex! Only at the low, low price of $200
8:09 in the show Metroplex is like three times bigger than Optimus
Great toy review but I just want to make a suggestion why don't you do A stop animation series it be great for the Transformers you have
I Always enjoy your intros for all your vids
I got the Japanese version of Cybertron Metroplex two years ago, and so hyped for the Legacy version of him.
I've had this figure for a very long time and actually didn't know what his name was until now and I always thought he was something from ancient Egypt instead of a mining vehicle.
whos looking forward to the legacy version of him
Came back to this video cause I'm thinking about trying to find this guy, and I think Drillbit is actually a retool of Leader One, the Minicon that came with Armada Megatron.
Tecnically the work mode head is the back of the head
cant wait for legacy
If you ask me, if you turn the head around in robot mode, it looks like he has a battle mask-
He also got a new Legacy version. It is also huge even dwarfing Menasaur
Downward facing Plex. You really feel it in your knees.
This looks like the new legacy metroplex
I had one of these as a kid. I didn't even ask for it, my parents just randomly gave it to me for Christmas.
why did hasbro gave Cybertron metroplex a mini con?
i died when mascot said nope not gonna mess with him
I cant believe you actually review this metroplex cool
He looks really cool, I like him. I wish I could get him but I can't. And he did look like he was doing yoga, he looked like he was doing the child's pose. Anyway great review emgo keep up the awesome work. You ROCK.
I found his alt mode looks more like an alt mode in person as opposed to pictures.
Sorry about the loose wings on Cybertron Prime, Emgo, guess the hinges just wore down over the years.
My dream toy when I was young. It was expensive, so we couldn't afford it. Still looks great!
finalllyyy
a good review of him
Nice to remember this toy before seeing the new one!
Did you know if you watched the show literally it shows the transformation too? It took me till now to realize it. I don't know but maybe.
I used to watch that Transformers series now my nephew watched it and he loves it

Why didn't you compare him with the BIG Metroplex????
