2:04 it’s really cool to see what changes they made on the final product, like how the banana count is over 99 or how the gears were in another underwater stage besides poison pond.
@@analog_ape I lost the VHS unfortunately. By chance some guy did upload a recording of the same VHS but he only got a bit of it. I was able to grab only about 30 minutes of it.
Yeah, I remember the talking Donkey Kong head. This was a classic show. Nintendo stunned the hell out of everyone with DKC. Lots of great videogames from all the major players. I hung out at the Atari booth a lot. I also had to score a lot of free booze for the under-21 journalists at the parties, hah.
This was really cool to see. I was lucky enough to attend SCES '94 with a lot of the other fanzine editors. I can't tell you how much fun this was for us. Very exhausting, too, with all the loud noises and crowds of people everywhere, and you're trying to catalog everything that's happening....
I think that's him. He did these kind of things starting in 1990 before becoming the actual voice of Mario. To this day he still does these kind of things.
me too. This looks epic. and i wish i could have this feeling on seeing donkey kong country anonced. People thought they used new hardware to show it. But it was the snes omg.

Imagine if Atari pushed that "Video CD" capability (4:30) back then? Maybe it would have been like the PS2 and dvds, people buying it as their first disc based video player. But then again, not everyone even had their own VCR then (renting the device was common), and there wasn't a big change in TV tech (plasma and LCD with higher resolution) that happened during DVD's span...
does anybody know what game engine cybermorph uses? And also does anybody know what game engine zarch a computer game uses? If so please tell me i would like to know thanks
Very cool video, you shot this? :) Im amazed at the quality of the image as well, most video from the mid to early 90's doesn't look very clear, this does!

Not sure what you mean. I shot this in June 1994 in Chicago. The game wasn't released anywhere yet. CES used to be a summer and winter show but now it is only in the winter.

1:21 That real life tree house is AWESOME
1994, possibly the best year in console ever
Best times in video games in my opinion today's age doesn't capture much of that feeling like it was in the 80's and 90's...
the absolute height of gaming and western civilization.
I miss those days. Thanks a lot for sharing this video.
@KevinCali24 Thanks! I shot it on Hi8 using a Canon A1 Digital. It was one of the best consumer camcorders of the day. I wish I still had it.
And there's STILL a hundred billion copies of NBA Jam in pawn shops and flea markets everywhere.

This is awesome. I have a vhs that my brother gave me from this company called Dragon Video. It shows all the exhibits from CES 1994. So cool.

I went to CES that year. We went before the general public got to go. Not sure if being pregnant was a blessing or a curse.
I think he was voiced by Charles
