6:45 probably the best example of how not to be faked out. It’s taken me many months to figure this out on my own. I think some of us just need to see things repeated over and over again.
There are lots of ict students creating content about smc out there. But you my friend i think you are one of few who really understands ict concepts, good work.
Casper! You made the video ! That’s what I’m talking about! I’m gonna watch it 10 times ! Also your video quality is looking great man! And your channel is growing fast as it should so much value ! Thanks for all the hard work! 💪🏼
Really good stuff......love how you say " put your phone away" and learn, lol, love it! Content is spot on, Displacement, Displacement, Displacement...got to have it!!! I picked up some more nuggets of great information, you are going to make me a funded trader soon!!! Appreciate your efforts, thank you!
- Hey Cas, great content! Thank you for doing this!! In 8:31 displacement there were clearly the Breakaway FVG, so the price mitigated the recent local range that was formed prior to displacement without filling the displacement FVG instead. That's why the displacement FVG left unfilled and price kept following the Bullish MM model narrative. Cheers 🙌
I agree with you on the entry, i´ve seen plenty of change of character/structure with strong pushes than never retrace fully into the zone... they stop just short and so you miss the trade,
I love how you explained it, bro. Such clarity this video have. You have reminded me to stick to this type of approach that I already have. You are indeed an ICT student. A brother! And I love your painting in the background, by the way. It's like the "Ghost in the Machine." Subscribed!
Thank you for this video!!! As a scalper 15m and below i was caught up on these traps. Now i will use the H1 for displacement and enter accordingly on the 15m.
You're definitely producing useful content. The only think missing is deeper explanations with questions you can answer. At 9:57, you said it looks like displacement or you can see why one would think so, you asked what happened but you didn't answer your own question. Why did it fail? I have my suspicions but I wish to hear what you think. The same thing kinda happened at 10:54. I'd appreciate better breakdowns but you're still dropping gems on your audience.
Thanks Mate, I love ICT content and it’s refreshing to hear it without the manic energy that Michael sometimes exhibits no disrespect of course, new sub here ! Rgds WHG
really nice video! I use the rule that at least 3 candles have to close above the old high/low to be a valid market structure shift which helps me a lot to identify good and bad signals
I've studied days of ICT and these small things (what is a raid vs what is a shift) are very easy to be confused by. He's a great trader but sadly not a good editor or designer of content. Thanks :)
I´ve been watching your videos man and they are absolutely gold, fantastic, you have no idea how greatful I´m. Thank you very much for share such a high value content. God bless you.
Hello Casper, please could you make this clear to me. On the ES1 example when price is at 10:58, to an untrained eye like mine the moment I see that shift I would immediately deem it to be displacement and on top of that there was also a grab of liquidity. Please make me understand why I shouldn't take this to be displacement. Your expertise would be very much appreciated, thank you.
The problem I find is that sometimes a wick on the 1H may be a strong displacement on the 5min and it can become very subjective every time as to what you can call a strong displacement. Do you have a specific timeframe for each element of the setup? For example, the bias will always be taken from the daily, displacement from the 1h, orderblock 15min, voids from the 5min etc etc.. Or how exactly do you incorporate this into the timeframes that you trade? Appreciate you bro and keep up the good work!
@@caspersmc other questions related to your statement above: if you have a MSS on let's say M3 but you can't see any FVG on M3 you would consider a FVG on M15 and viceversa?
When ICT says "have a model" is saying, only trade a 'breaker' model, for example, on the HTF? or the LTF? Is it a pdarray or is it the entry strategy, or both? I've had points of tremendous clarity and points of utter confusion and like, him constantly razzing people who don't take notes, or put the work is is off putting because that ain't me babe. This video was informative. Here are my open questions 1. when is a move time distortion and when are you wrong? 2. How to tell when the market is already underway, vs when it needs to raid liq...(many times you'll see 930 just run). 3. Does your chosen model mean "i'm only trading a 4hr breaker or a breaker on any time frame that fits the narrative, or only a LTF breaker that presents inside of a HTF breaker...honestly - you're right, he doesn't present a lot of this, he just says study... 4. What to do if you're in biased conditions and price turns early and it turns out your bias was correct, but it didn't push as far as your breaker?
Bro thanks for the knowledge!! Next video should be what fair value gap to use for entries cos there always 2-3 FVGs and i get confused and stopped out. Thanks
Of all the videos condensing ICT, yours are the best. Have you done one on the essential times in which to trade, and the relative "Judas Swings", or expected moves in these areas? Thank you again.
Thanks Casper. One thing I don't understand is at 8:27 you say "what do we have here?...a fair value gap that gets recapitalized." But that gap was already closed on the next little black candle. Still I understand that the area is still an area of interest, but the gap wasn't really a factor at that point was it?
Hey, Casper... Love the content and really appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Just some advice for your videos (feel free to toss them aside)... Could you make sure your microphone is mainly in front of your face? When you turn to the camera it becomes harder to understand what you're saying. have a great day, brother.
Thank you for your video. Really enjoy your work. On the first example. 7. 30 in. The candle about 10. 45 displaces and does MSS. I would have traded that. Obviously hindsight is great. What was the reason you didn't trade there. Thank you Andrew
Thanks for replying I really appreciate it. I watched your video again. So here's my answer - LQ has to have been taking before the displacement. That is the real move. The other displacements are fake outs and basically more LQ.. Money market buy mode. Wait for sweep of LQ low then displacement then look to enter the trade.
This is nearly brilliant, and your production quality improvement really shows. There’s still a little ‘sounds like you are speaking inside a tin can’ going on, which can be solved cheaply enough (for the long term rewards) with corner baffles and some panels on the wall. Not the gauche egg crate ones, the flat ones. Lighting improved but I recommend you go with the ‘Rod Serling’ of trading, not Dr. Darkcrypt. This means looking into “Rembrandt Lighting” and don’t bother if you aren’t getting light levels right. This will be a key long term differentiation in a crowded and competitive topic. Much better execution. Still a little rough cut on the video but much better, and the articulation (learn vocal warmup exercises and use them) is better because the explanation prep was better. I’ve written this out in detail for other casters on this topic and they never read the email.
That’s great advice. But my suggestion is to go with a Lavalier microphone. They clip on to your shirt and you can hide them. The problem is no matter how much you soundproof a room. If the microphone is too far from your mouth you will still have that thin “tin can sound”. The Lavaliere will sound much more present and professional. Hope that helps. Cheers.
