- As a massive Star Wars fan, of course I had to go and see "Rogue One"! It's nice to see what went on in between the events of "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith", "Star Wars Rebels", and "Episode IV: A New Hope". We finally learned how the Death Star plans were stolen. But, since it's a Star Wars movie, it has some funny moments, the most of which come from a droid.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet K-2SO (sometimes erroneously spelled as "K2SO"), a reprogrammed Imperial droid with one big mouth.
Voiced and performed via motion capture by none other than the now Disney lucky charm Alan Tudyk (who also voiced Heihei from "Moana", who I also have a "funny moments" compilation video for), K-2SO may seem harsh and blunt at times, but his intentions are good and he is shown to have something of a heart, even if it is all 1's and 0's.
Some of his greatest lines include:
"Congratulations. You are being rescued. Please do not resist."
"Why does she get a blaster and I don't?"
"I find that answer vague and unconvincing."
"Did you know that wasn't me?"
"I am...taking them to imprison them...in prison."
"Jyn. I'll be there for you. Cassian said I had to."
"I've got a bad feeling about this."
Where is K-2SO's best line,
"There is a problem on the horizon, there is no horizon"
I know!
For some reason that line sounds like something clone wars era Obi-Wan would say.

I love K2SO, he's like the complete opposite of Jar Jar Binks. Alan Tudyk, K2SO's actor, did an outstanding job with this character.
Right? He's the correct use of comedic relief.

This droid is insane. he can pickup a person with one hand, hes 7 ft tall, has deadly accuracy, deadly humor, and he took 4 shots to the chest before dying and killed 30 stormtroopers in the whole movie.
They are already being mass produced and if they made an army of them they would own.

Society Jedi fallen order actually showed how terrifying they can be, I mean imagine being someone without a lightsaber being grabbed by this tall, menacing droid?
Yo, K-series droids are in Jedi: Fallen Order and they are tough motherfuckers. Pretty much the only reason the Empire doesn't use them more is because of anti-droid sentiment left over from the Clone Wars.

This is how you do comic relief without being silly. Rogue One is such a great movie.
Kay sacrificing himself for Cassian and Jyn proves that even droids have an emotional connection with those they're close to. In the novelization, K-2SO conjures up a scenario where Cassian survived so that he could die happy.
1 :48 This part was improvised by the actor who played K2. Which is why the actor who plays the rebel hides his face with his hand, so no one sees he started laughing

I wonder about this line. Does K2SO not get a blaster simply because the Imperial Security Droids don't normally carry weapons and he would look out of place with one, or was there an...incident... the last time they gave him a weapon?
Considering that he is certifiably insane, I'm thinking that there was an "incident."
Cassian trusts him, but not enough to give him a blaster.

K-2SO was such a great addition to that movie. And the explanation that his strange personality was a byproduct of his reprogramming worked for me. He was like a beautiful merging of C-3PO and Marvin the Android.

c3p0 started getting more and more annoying after ROTJ. K2S0 is cool. I hope he is in the Cassidan tv series!
C3PO in original series is HILARIOUS. He's watered down tho because they put him in EVERY movie and made him mean less and less.

The concept of a government robot that could catch you at a dead run and throw you down with one arm is pretty scary. I'm glad they don't yet exist.

1:00 not gonna lie when we saw this in the theater all the watcher were "NOOO" and some audible gasps but then 1:06 laughs all around
The bit where he slaps Cassian and shouts quiet always makes me laugh!!
This droid is more self-aware than most of the audience watching this movie

I absolutely positively love every single one of his scenes. He’s hilarious. And then when I found out that it was Alan T, I thought wow Like I needed another reason to love this robot. Alan Tuyduk is awesome
Saw the very first Star Wars as a kid in the 70s. Rogue One is my favourite. K2S0 is brilliant and made me realise that I dislike C3PO. K2S0 is more integral to the story as opposed to C3POs shear comic value.

K-2SO proves that the droids are the best part of any Star Wars movie
I knew at the start of the movie not to get attached to any characters because it was obvious they would all die. This droid made it hard
IMHO, "Rouge One" is the one of best series in SW, strong, real, with no happy ends, real trues of war
K-2 made this movie for me. The humor was spot on.
K-2SO is an example of *WHY* the Empire was leary about having a mass amount of combat effective battle droids running about the galaxy. Which is one of the reasons why you'll never see Separatists forces level of Battle Droid usage during the time of the Empire. I mean, they came in handy when ya needed to use one, but boy can one cause a lot of trouble if it ever decided to go rogue. The grenade scene, especially, shows how nuts a machine's reaction time could be. And one can only imagine how much K-2SO had to hold back, while still applying a little pressure, when he wacked Cassian there.
I forgot how amazing this character was.
K2SO is hilarious in this movie...i laughed every time...

K2 is one of the best characters that’s come out of disney’s Star Wars era
K2 just might be my favorite expressive robot ever. I'm taking notes from him for my drawings.
It's a tradition to have a character in each Star Wars film repeat the famous line: "I have a bad feeling about this".
Apparently the scene where K2 backhands Cassian was improvised, but kept in the final film. You can just about see Gabriel Luna smirking a bit when his hands are covering his face. The battle scenes that end with the grenade toss had some obvious cuts too - Jin has some blood under her nose that appears for no reason - right after the baton fight with the stormtroopers. She must've been punched during a longer set-piece which was cut from the final version.
Saw this film for the first time a few weeks ago, and this guy stole the show! One of the best droids to be introduced in this franchise!
His crudeness is the icing on the cake.
Imagine replacing him with jar jar. It would be so much better, having his Witt and sarcasm connecting not just with the kids, but adults would appreciate it as well. K2SO having some history in the droid army would have been a cool thing

Absolutely. Rogue One is absolute fire and an underrated gem, but he's the greatest part of it all in my mind.

Alan Tudyk plus the scriptwriters really did a tour de force with K2SO - an engaging, funny, original character that resonated with audiences and stole the show in the movie. Absolutely the 'anti-C3PO'.

Lucas needs to remaster them all again to replace C-3PO with this guy. Superb character.

Best droid since HK-47 (Knights of the Old Republic), and his marksmanship is good, hit target without see it.
