I'm a little more likely to go to Greengrass for this event, but I'm seriously considering lakeside because it would let me level up my Typhlosion brothers and other choice Pokemon. Ironically, having no lapis team but strong Pokemon makes interesting and useful as a leveling area. But the spawns in Greengrass are much better.
Trying to increase my research rank back to the max as quickly as I can, I was really enjoying the extra dream shards from the exp conversion! Hopefully the high drowsy power I can get at GG will help me with this
We need to see the skill trigger rate and whether it would mean sacrificing berry specialists on the team to make this viable to stack with expand pot and ingredient magnet mons.
I was thinking if we can combine dedenne's main skill with any eevee evolution with cooking pot up then it could be amazing and new players could grow fast in early game. And we the vetran F2P players could lvl up even better.@@Bropenings
It's possible but it's a question of whether the sacrifice for team members like berry specialists or healers is worth it. And it's only 10% extra chance per trigger not a guarantee. It'll all depend on how often it triggers. To make this skill viable you also still need to make sure you get the right ingredient pokemon (mono ingredient meta rising further from this).
What do you guys think the reason behind Electric mons being helpful? Can’t be that it’s cause their berries will be fixed on all isles, so I’m thinking just for the event only Electric types find Raikou manes instead of candies
It doesn't need to be a fixed berry everywhere at all, because the event could be at green grass only if they wanted to do so, but maybe it's more like electric ones finding a new type of item (just like they can find candies) so helping speed would matter.
Thanks for the video as always. Do you think there might be a chance in a new research island dedicated to electric type pokemons during Raikou's release? Idk otherwise they'll organize the event for him, maybe only greengrass scripted with eletric type berries and some others, with a master 10+ rank needed to get Raikou's incense?
Hmmm it's a possibility but feels a bit too soon given the Lakeside only came out recently and many players haven't unlocked it yet. For a new electric island it'll probably be even harder to unlock and progress. Without an overhaul on how events are run this would mean new players can't access raikou, which would be counter productive to what they said they want to do.
Keep seeing people misunderstand the value of a Dedenne skill proc, feels like banging my head against a wall when trying to discuss it. My understanding is that each proc is worth 10% of your typical meal strength, so for example if your meals are usually 10k power then each Dedenne proc is worth 1k power (on Mon-Sat). A video going over this would be nice.
Yep, that's how I understand it. I do plan to do this video but was hoping to see more real life example first from other players. I don't run metronome and hard for me to do testing on my own.
So isn't that new skill already in the game? I have a Togekiss and metronome rolls extra tasty skill where my dishes are more tasty by a percentage or I don't actually know how it works exactly
Dedenne should be pretty good, atleast for leveling dishes faster. I don’t even care too much about it’s strength for the week, the fact that crit chance boosts don’t reset until you crit should be an easy 4-6 more crits a week on a good rolled dedenne. That’s massive for maxing dishes faster Assuming level 6 skill. Which is gonna take a while anyway
Yeah we're gonna need to see the skill trigger rate to know better. There are many considerations still. Do you swap out an existing berry/ing/healer specialist for it? If you swap out berry specialist you might lose a significant amount of DP for this to work. If you swap out ing specialist then will you cook as good a dish for the extra tasty to be strong? Swapping out healer of course can be detrimental on all fronts unless mons are self healing enough.
Torn between the decision of heading to GGI or Lapis Lakeside: The DPR of encountering Dedenne is so rare and high that doing at Lapis Lakeside with Pichu/Raichu being the other alternative electric pkmn at the island isn't that much of a safe bet especially knowing we would need some form of electric pkmn help in completing Raikou's Research.
The DPR needed to encounter dedenne is the same on both islands. In other words for 1 star, it appears at lower tier at LL than GG since DPR is the same. In fact, if you roll the exact same berries at GG as LL, then your progression towards meeting dedenne is exactly the same (if area bonus is the same, and if spawn counts were the same)
I understand that all events being good on Greengrass is great for new players. But for people like me who raised the Greengrass area bonus alot before moving to any new areas. Each event feels slightly painful due to missing the weeks 5% increase on the areas which don't show many fun spawn increases.
I know many players at the start of the game were recommended to stay at GGI, by other equally inexperienced players, until they got good coverage. This has been detrimental because of situations like yours where you kept having to come back for events and already maxed out area bonus. In hindsight, I wouldn't recommend anyone to spend excessive time in GGI when they first start. Cyan beach is the true first area to me as it allows you to find a good totodile and iggly there that then carry you through every island (as it had for me). It's easier to hunt and increase friendship level when you have lower varieties in islands outside of GGI. Hindsight is always 20/20 though.
Going greengrass like with every other event. It's easier for me to get higher DPR. I have a bunch of really good raichu that can easily carry. Lakeside is a bit too far for me in my overall progress.
i think mareep line got two spots in the promo because they are sheep Pokémon and sheep are related to going to sleep, dedenne is new and pikachu is the franchise mascot.
8:45 i dissagree that is early/mid game, as we just unlocked level 7 of Charge Streanght M wich making him much better. Now getting 6400 points boost, and at this rate, ChSM 8 will be ~9000. Acording to calculator best Ampharos is better than best Raichu (both with favorite Berry boost).
Jolteon = Bastard Child Also don't care about everyone else but I think Jolty is 2nd best like every other Eeveelution, Dedende is a pirated Raichu look-alike, Mareep can't be used anywhere else and lastly, I love my first Pikachu/Raichu (Adamant; no BFS). I AM considering Taupe Hollow also fyi: I am posting this drunk. I love Brovinnie for covering all this! BIG HYPE FOR ALL UPDATES!!
I'm going Cyan Beach*, don't really care for Dedenne and the Pichus on Lakeside aren't probably be as relevant if I get to a High Drowsy Power early anyway
I don’t understand why Raikou is releasing earlier than Entei and Suicune. I thought it was because he would be part of the electric event, but now it really doesn’t make sense 😂
It's a good thing. We can use the electric event to prepare for raikou. And maybe because first starter is electric type pikachu that game gives for free, it makes the most sense for new players to join the event.
Dude, consider changing your orientation, not all your viewers watch from phone and even so. Landscape is the better orientation especially you are presenting calendars.

@@jorpfYT all we need is a good roll on the berries.
Well I don’t have Lapis unlocked yet, I need 32 more styles in the Dex. And I want Dedenne, so I guess I’m going to GG
I know I am. I'm just way too far off from Snowdrop. And needless to say, Taupe just sucks really bad hehe.
Correction: Ampharos does not spawn at Greengrass Isle as it is shown in the graphic (Mareep/Flaafy do)
Pichu and Raichu not available at Cyan Beach either? That seems a shame for those who seek the lowest evolution forms for main skill levels.
Pichu and Raichu aren't normally available at CB so they won't be during the event either it seems.
You're going to Lapis Lakeside

Hopefully can raise the area bonus enough to get master 1 that week! Now sitting at ultra 1 on Thursday, 1st week there
Yeah I'm going... I need a Raichu and Dedenne so there's no escape.
@@BeBanthenz you might need more area bonus and maybe even GCT

Dedenne may become a new cooking type meta. And i am going to stay in greengrass because i don't have any good electric types.

During the event every island gets 1 random berry changed to electric grepa berry.
It doesn't need to be a fixed berry everywhere at all, because the event could be at green grass only if they wanted to do so, but maybe it's more like electric ones finding a new type of item (just like they can find candies) so helping speed would matter.
