LG gives you a choice of a single or duel screen, very cool. Best in class the 32bit DAC with the jack. A huge 5ooomamp 🔋, 10+ hrs SOT? A very good offering from LG, very good review!
Is the reason the 8GB of RAM is only considered "decent" for any actual technical, proven limitation or just because more is available on other devices?
just because samsung put 16gb of ram, which is super unnecessary, ontheir phone so now all of a sudden its popular. 8gb is incredibly good, most of the highest end gaming computers possible have 8gb.
Exactly. Just because they have to say something on the video they'll add nonsense logic. 8gb ram ain't decent, it's even more than the industry standard of 6 gigs.

i love LG phones, had G4 in the past, recently bought V35 for 250$ refurbished for my mother it's also great, but camera is poor.. I mean sensor was too small and F1.6 didn't help much. It has a lot of features, i love manual video at 4k 60fps log and 80mpbs, ofc my mother doesn't use that. But low light performance is poor, and couldn't find working gcam for this phone, to fix that. But what do you mean Best "Budget" Flagship ? I just dont understand LG? My v30 had more and better features, they did away with the side bar and facial unlock that my old v30 had, and the video on this is average at best! Pics are good but video disappoints.
Wait, why say "refuses to kill the headphone jack" like it's a bad thing? It's literally the feature that pushed me away from Apple and into the arms of Android (Note9). But with Samsung ditching the jack, I'm now primarily seeking the few flagship devices that still maintain this one (IMO) critical feature.
Apple sells phones like hot cakes. 1080p and 60hz refresh rate is fine, actually it's good. QHD and 90-120hz is for bragging rights. High specs doesn't make the best phone.
Great review! A Snapdragon 865 processor, 5000 mAh battery, 32 bit quad dac, dual screen, stylus support, 4 microphones, 5G capable, and 64 MP main camera, and 8K video recording for about 1/3 less than the S20 Ultra. This purchase was a no brainer for me. I just got mine a couple days ago. Lovin it!
I just have to point this out, simply because it shows up in every video I think I've ever seen regarding the V60. It's "super long" name. Well, yeah, it's going to be long if you call it the "LG V60 ThinQ 5G" every time. But so would the "Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G", if that's how you said it. But in "S20 Ultra" reviews, that is largely what they call it and never mention anything about the name. So can we all just move on and start calling this thing by a name that most people will use anyway? The "V60".
Great coverage of the LG V60 ThinQ, but, just a few things I like to point out. LG didn't miss the boat with not adding the QHD Display and the pointless High Refresh Rate, this was intentional for price accommodation, who cares if other OEMs added that? That's them, this is LG, they're going on a different path, and you and others may not agree with that path, but accept it. "Refuses" isn't the right word to use when talking about the headphone jack, "perpetrating" is, when you use the word "refuse" in this context, it gives the impression that LG is stuck in the past and not embracing what other OEMs are doing and not following suit, not that that's what you stated, but, it gives an implication by your "refuse" statement. You have to understand that there has to be tradeoffs to compliment the below 1000$ price tag. Also the syllables in the LGV60 ThinQ 5G is 4, while Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G is 7, so the name of the LGV60 ThinQ 5G isn't a "super long name", I don't see why alot of Reviewers point out something so trivial. I don't think a phone needs something major to stand out for it to be a worthy contender, it can be just a great device with a snappy performance, with practicality in mind, and that's major if you ask me, not some useless high refresh rate and QHD Display that'll be detrimental to the battery, LG took a conventional approach with this one, and I think they're off to an awesome start! Other than that, solid review.
you nailed it, everything you said is what bothered me about the review and sometimes makes me feel youtube reviewers are out of touch with reality, they just want more and more without caring for pricing, company has to make a profit, so a balance must be struck

BUDGET??!!? $800 PLUS TAXES IS A BUDGET???
800 bucks isn't budget 😄
@@jeffreybowens yeah but that's high end...u have other flagship choices at 800 to a 1000
I'd say get LG g8 at 300 hundred range would maybe qualify 😁
I just dont understand LG? My v30 had more and better features, they did away with the side bar and facial unlock that my old v30 had, and the video on this is average at best! Pics are good but video disappoints.
Problem is nobody wants a lg phone
NOTHING about manual video including the ISO and FPS range

It never gets mentioned fuck knows why
Youre on crack
Jason
The truth is hardly anyone knows it even exists. It's the marketing that's the real issue
Formless truth
Why are you so sad while reviewing?
Can't downgrade my QHD PLUS
V 40
Wait, why say "refuses to kill the headphone jack" like it's a bad thing? It's literally the feature that pushed me away from Apple and into the arms of Android (Note9). But with Samsung ditching the jack, I'm now primarily seeking the few flagship devices that still maintain this one (IMO) critical feature.
Agree, fuck phones that doesn't have audio jack
LG V60 or Sony Xperia 1 ii are the one to consider. Both has headphone jack and both prioritize the audio quality.
A lot of people use the phone jack. Alot people have a buness and use the squre.
Agreeeee
Refuses to kill isn't a negative statement. It's neutral
If you want to spend $1400 on a phone.get the v60 ($800) and you got $600 left to buy yourself a TV, or a high end headphones or some tools.haha
lol good point
Or my next ps5 😂
Plus tax
Now just $600
I have the LG V60 and it is a great all around phone and I did not have to spend double like I did on S20 Ultra.
volleyplay1 how’s the battery life ?
Damnnnnn, nice!!!!!
volleyplay1 I have questions.... where can I find a good quality case for this phone?! Amazon is junk!! And does this phone have updated emojis???
Which camera is better, v60 or v50? Why?
Is the phone filled with bloatware like how Huawei and other Chinese brand phones have?
Apple sells phones like hot cakes. 1080p and 60hz refresh rate is fine, actually it's good. QHD and 90-120hz is for bragging rights. High specs doesn't make the best phone.
Those specs aren't practical but the headphone jack is
Great review! Lovin it!
Agreed. For the combination of specs and price ,there is no flagship introduced in 2020, to date, that can compete. Again, great review!
Love the headphone jack and don't care about the high refresh rate. Don't have it on now even though my phone supports it.
Facts!! RUclipsr reviews tend to be negative to LG phones and praise Samsung (and Apple) regardless
I actually got this phone and it's absolutely amazing! There's not 1 specific feature that is a real stand out (other than the dual screen which I actually don't have). But I don't care as this phone has everything I need as a heavy phone user.
8Gb RAM is not a low amount, it's high for a phone. Tell me some phones with more than 8Gb RAM.
samsung s20 got 16gb but it kills the bottery
McLaren one plus 7
Most don’t, Apple only has 4 with the 11pro max.
I thought the same thing when he said 8 gb was a small amount of ram. 8 gb is a lot of ram
Samsung s20+ has 12gb, but honestly I feel like 8gb is more than enough
What do you mean "only 8 GB of RAM". That's a TON. Are you serious?
I KNOW RIGHT?? I was sitting here with my 4gb ram phone in confusion
Upgrading from a V20! Just ordered mine!
Did you get the v60 yet?
@@laur13 Yes im on it now. Definitely worth the upgrade.
@@NattyGainz that's awesome. I'm thinking about upgrading to it also, and I also have a v20 at the moment.
Anything you don't like about it? Big or small?
Man I LOVED the v20 lol I have the v40 and just ordered the v60. They got the best headphone quality on any phone in this series and people skim over it like its not a big deal but its huge. Listening to music is something everyone does and I'm surprised no one focuses on it
@@matthewkocher8443 I actually just got the v60 about a week ago, and I'm also loving it. The v20 was a really good phone, and this is a solid replacement. Have been a long time note fan, and while I'll always like them, I couldn't pass up on the v60 because of the dual screen, the pen support, the battery, and yes, THE HEADPHONE JACK AND DAC... as long as I can have it, I'm not morning to a jackless world yet lol
I believe that every youtuber should be completely impartial. Because when you're not out of business interests, you start talking about your products without being entirely true. And this is not the case with this RUclipsr, but I am talking about others who are partial
An ultrawide selfie camera would’ve made this the best damn phone for vloggers, especially with that voice bokeh feature.
it does have that already my lg v30 shot wide angle with one selfie camera
Like one of the comments down below "why say "refuses to kill the headphone jack" like it's a bad thing?", the reviewer makes erratic comments on the phone like "8GB RAM isn't the best"...so, the definition of your "best" is the highest amount of RAM? Seriously?! Even though he seems generally positive, some of his language use/word choice are just Total BS!
If you understand how Android works unused ram is wasted ram. So physical ram/ram management is really subjective to me. I have devices with 4,6 and 8GB and in normal usage the performance gains are negligible.
You made it sound like refusing to ditch the 3.5 mm jack is a bad thing lol...
I just got the new galexywith Tmobile I should of bought this phone unlocked I like the lg so much better if only they didn't stop they handset phones scared me Away
You are an LG hater, this is the worst review in have ever seen regarding this outstanding device. Go and talk about Samsuck or the Iphony phones!
Snapdragon 865 and 8 GB RAM isn't the best? My laptop has 8 GB RAM, this is more than enough for a phone!
Great phone. Don't need the juice sucking refresh rate.
Wait a second, hold the phone for a god damn minute (probably with both hands), did you just say LG...pushed an update? Wow, I've been excited to get this phone but it's already got more software support than I was expecting until Android 11 came out ngl lol
haha
8 Gb + 865 Snapdragon not enough??? 😆😆😆
Just sold my Note for $1100 and bought a new V60 for $450. I'm smart.
Mathematical
8 GB is 'low'? Dude... 6 GB is still plenty
Im not a tech. I just ordered the v60. Why i like it. Duel screen its a tool for me. It has a flat screen. I never broke one before. I dont like the curved screen.
At first I thought this phone is just ugly but it's kind of growing on me
When I saw the Tesla app on the home screen, I knew you were for real 😄
