As an English woman I'm embarrassed that Sadiq Khan is the mayor of England's capital city. I've always felt he feels nothing for this country. I have not visited London since he became mayor, and never will again until he's gone. An Australian man once said to me "why have the English given their country away?" and at another time a Dutch lady said briskly to us "where are all the English in London? We never met "one" when we stayed there" - I felt ashamed and sad. The Scots, Welsh and Irish are allowed to be Proud of their own nations.
