It's a pleasure to see women over 50 being styled out of "Frumpville!" Thanks Glory for working together w/ Ann Marie for this video! Going to watch your channel now!
So relatable, thank you! I heard many of the same questions I ask myself. Also-big thank you for mentioning Gloria’s knowledge of working on one’s osteoporosis. I need that input right now. I’ll check her out!
Thank you. I worked hard on this video and pleased with the affect. I edited it myself too so had a vision of how id wanted the video to look. I'm glad that's come across.
Really enjoyed this video. My main query with the front tuck is that you have 1/3 at the front so your legs look better but you still have 1/2 and 1/2 at the back so your legs at the back look shorter. Does that make sense? Surely you want the 1/3 all the way around. It's especially noticeable with the button down shirt.
I find the half tuck to be unflattering. Always thought it was a way catalogs could show the top of the pants without covering with a top. I’ve only seen one person actually doing it & I live in a young very metropolitan area.
I have other things to do than worry about what " is on trend". Who cares? It's just another way for the fashion industry to make $. They've already stole enough of my money in the last 40 years.
With all due respect, this video was about working with what you have. Nothing new was purchased. I think we all want to look relevant (helps career and mindset for me anyway). Otherwise, we wouldn't be on this channel.
I enjoyed this but I don’t think it’s always possible to compare fashions in the UK and the US as they vary quite a bit. I can often spot American tourists by their appearance and I’m sure they’d say the same if they saw a British woman in their town. Hair and makeup give it away too, not just clothes and accessories.
It wouldn't work, and when they do it they rarely show the side view as it isn't at all flattering. Personally I think this lady looks nice in every shot, shes slim and attractive and boy that helps.
This is a great video! However, To really move forward with her fashion, she needs to invest in at least a straight leg jean. I loved my skinny jeans too but like the long necklace, skinny jeans are really not seen much in fashion.
Straight and wide, baggy leg are more in than skinny. I feel skinny is more out of style than long necklaces. The pink top and jacket with the shorter necklace to me looked outdated and older. It didn’t look right to me. I can’t put my finger on it. Not the top and jacket, just the necklace. No necklace but earrings would have been better.
I think her legs would look longer and in better proportion to the length of the blouse, if her jeans were longer and not cutting her legs off above the ankle.
A question about the black/navy and white jeans. I feel like the shoe with the high vamp throws the skin balance off, is that right? Would it be better with black sandals? Also, I think that outfit is too high contrast for her coloring. I realize she was working with what was in her closet but if she was shopping, would you advise picking a different color?
I think it's good to be aware and then from there make your mind up as to whether you will adopt it or not. I'm a great one for wearing 'ugly sandals' and I won't give them up despite fashionistas.
Its interesting because I know long necklaces are meant to be out of fashion. But I wear a lot of high necklines, knitted polo shirt style or button up shirt and the short necklaces just don't sit right with them. I end up wearing a long necklace, but one that is beaded all the way around, not a pendant. I just figure that if the rest of my outfit is up to date, I can get away with one element that's a bit more dated. Its also almost my signature. I dress quite masculine. Wide leg jeans or trousers with trainers and a blazer, and I'm fairly tall 5ft 9, so I need something to feminise the outfit a bit.
I just love your videos, I take your advice also. I’m 68 and I’m currently recuperating from back surgery. So I live in silk Lily silk pajamas. I love that brand I have a lot of things from that brand. I have blouses and pajamas, so when anyone comes over, I look presentable because those silk pajamas are absolutely beautiful. I have a navy pair, a soft pink pair and a red pair, my husband bought them for me for Christmas and my birthday and coming home from the hospital….🇺🇸
No fan of Kylie's Minogue, but speaking about height, she's less than 5/2 . Actresses, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Isabelle Hubert are all 5/2. Myself included. We're petite. Means nothing. It is what is it.

Thank you. The front tucks look great from the front and bad from the side view when I do this. Fun idea for a video!
Showing is so much more effective than telling. Excellent!

I follow you both individually so it was a fun surprise to see you both together!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your appreciation 💗
Front tucks aren’t very attractive for those of us that carry our weight in the belly. Any suggestions?
Thank you ladies so informative . You 2 are so sweet
Great - I love this type of videos. Very inspiring❣️
Loved this type of video. Please do more like this. 😊
Will do!!
I really don’t like the half tuck and am pleased to hear that people are moving on to a full tuck
I find the half tuck to be unflattering. Always thought it was a way catalogs could show the top of the pants without covering with a top. I’ve only seen one person actually doing it & I live in a young very metropolitan area.
I feel the brown accessories, i.e. shoes and belt do not match the blue hues. Nude would work better with that style.
Fun video! Loved this one.
This was so much fun! Thank you for fixing my frump! 🤓
Love this video! Sometimes I feel like I'm on the fast train to frumpytown 😂
This is very interesting! I’d really love to see a comparison between UK and America in clothing and makeup! ❤
Thank you…very helpful.
This was one of my favorite video of yours. So many great tips. How old did she say she was 53 or 63? Thank you for doing this.
63 and a half!
I have other things to do than worry about what " is on trend". Who cares? It's just another way for the fashion industry to make $. They've already stole enough of my money in the last 40 years.
Why watch then? Go buzz kill something else you do like 👍

You do have some good fashion ideas, im a new subscriber 😊❤
Thank you! 😀
If you want to do another "De Frump" I'll volunteer! Really good ideas.
Thank you. I might take you up on that
@@Myover50fashionlife I'm tall but I have no waist so everything seems frumpy.
Yes please, more like this. ❤

This was great. Thank you.
Brilliant video thank you!!
AT 5 FT 1IN dodging flailing hands and elbows is a hazard in crowds!
flip flops, track pants/top are the most frumpy .
I would love to see you do this with someone who is a bigger size.

Where I live, you still see lots of skinny jeans. I haven’t given mine up, for sure.
Straight and wide, baggy leg are more in than skinny. I feel skinny is more out of style than long necklaces. The pink top and jacket with the shorter necklace to me looked outdated and older. Who are these fashionistas that tell us how to wear our clothes???Wear what you find comfortable,

Fashion is catching up with you currently.
Really enjoyed this video. Well done and thanks
Ann Marie I don’t care if you aren’t tall in stature. You’re tall in charm, beauty, personality and talent. 😘🥰😍
Actually if you used a much thinner belt it would help
I just love your videos, I take your advice also. I’m 68 and I’m currently recuperating from back surgery. So I live in silk Lily silk pajamas. Anne marie , you looking great . You look ten years younger than your age. Whatever your doing is working . 🎉
Thank you. 😀
She was never frumpy, but the Afters were better.
I know. It was so funny when Glory asked me to call the video she's frumpy. I said, i can't do that 😀. So i sneaked in 'apparently '
Great ideas, but very sadly for those of us way beyond size 10 these wouldn't be a good look!
Personally, l think both you ladies need to invest in really sleek shorter haircuts...
Or hair treatment for grey hair! (Violet shampoo and conditioner)😅
