Church, Civil societies, citizens and any organization should very much involve in political politicies as it is directly and indirectly related to everyone. Political policies are not for Aliens from other world
The NLTP Act 1989 is doing more harm than good to Nagaland. As a believer, I understand the ethical concerns from a Christian perspective. However, I also believe in the right to choose. The church's role is to teach the gospel and guide people to make the right decisions, but stopping or restricting them isn't the solution. Despite the Act, liquor is still widely available in the state, although at higher prices and lower quality. Those who want it will find a way, regardless of the law. While the Act does help reduce visible alcohol related problems and curb some moral decay, the negative effects like the growth of the black market, increased corruption, loss of revenue, and impact on tourism are far greater. The reality is that the Act hasn't stopped alcohol consumption; it's just pushed it underground. This not only costs the state valuable revenue but also fuels additional problems. From an economic standpoint, revisiting the law to allow controlled and regulated alcohol sales could benefit Nagaland by increasing revenue and reducing illegal activities. Practical solutions, not just theories, are what's needed.
What i dont understand is When we have no opposition in our Government, why are they even discussing about this NLTP act or whose permission do they need to remove this act.

Something to ponder upon... Word to practical application: Mark 7:5-8, 14-23 And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?” And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.” What Defiles a Person And he called the people to him again and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him.” And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?”f (Thus he declared all foods clean.) And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

Take a look at the expensive wine with attactive bottles being sold openly .. they have the highest alcohol % among all other hard drinks ..
Sounds system should be improved
Something to ponder upon... Word to practical application:
Mark 7:5-8, 14-23
And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?” And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
“‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”
What Defiles a Person
And he called the people to him again and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him.” And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable.
Reality is that for total ban to be effective govt need to spend extra few hundreds crore....on the other side lifting NLTP will generate extra hundreds crore
Even Jesus drank wine
NLTP act so old that the minister's can't debate on the topic without looking the script.
I wish sir CL John makes headlines for a day😅
100% Alcohol tu Bon kuribole naparibo 😅😂
Don't mix Politics with Religion. It never goes well.
Without discussing all the MLA should take votes to lift not to lift
Deep down 50 percent of leaders buy most expensive liquor 😁
I mean in my shop too 🤣
If im not mistaken There are atleast 10 liquor shops near NBCC office itself so selling alcohol in black market is legal in front of God and government? And selling legally is prohibited?
One who take will take be it legal or illegal. Both party should take responsibility on their ways.
If NLTP act
Remove - Government should take responsibility controling limitation intake as well responsible in stabilizing health issues ebmven death rate under alcohol addiction. It's not only about revenue and quality of it.
Law and order should be strictly emphasize under it.
If NLTP act continue - the concer organizations should take stick action upon in flow in state unlike what we have now. If they fail this time they should take all the responsibility of health issues causing by as well as the death rate of it. Indeed from the first place if they are serious about it by then special church body they should have set up rehabilitation centers in all the district followed by awareness of it.
I want to live in a Dry state due to my alcoholic addiction and came to Nagaland
thinking its a Dry state but could not stop my addiction due to Aviability of Alcohol everywhere m dying too soon RIP to all😅
Even the church r mismanaging church money can't trust anyone every one working for own profit only😂
Tell em bro...hope you heard the news too 😂
Its now or never. Lift the act and bring about a well structured economic set up for the state. Secondly, be selective and import only good quality products or even better, a certified beer factory or franchises to produce best quality draught beer etc. Every profit fall towards the state.
The only person who wants nltp act. His family members might be running syndicate. So,Ban it in chakhesang area as they want.
NLTP should either be strictly implemented or removed totally. This tamasha has to be stopped.
Nagaland Legislative Assembly should be secular. We didn't elect the church members to be our representatives. 😡
I Assam CM can come clear on All Issues, Our Govt. Can...The Matter is All Public Representative System spoils...the Roost.
Wine shop pon kori lap nai amikan laka poisa olta bisi jai
People are complicated
If church dont interfere in this, than what is NBCC doing??
If church interferes, leave the political administration alone
But I say, alcohol is cursed and it will remain curse to us, let us not invite God's wrath 😢 His unconditional love, unwavering love and slow to anger be with us throughout and forevermore 😊😊
Lift the Ban in Dimapur district
For NBCC declare Sunday as dry day.
If NBCC is so concerned about this act.it should constitute Drugs and Narcotics and Liquor cell to check the sale and drinking of liquor. If not enough of hypocrisy.
I am sleeping after watching how my people are speaking
NLTP act must lift

We want best of the best alcohol not only alcohol but we want best of the best church leaders who misuse crores of money better to focus on own field..
Don't invite curse to your family and your state. Promise to God is eternal. Dear MLA, please dont play with your God.
Lift the act
Lifting or keeping NLTP??? Why this debate? Alcohol is available 24*7 everywhere, anywhere and anytime!
Just keeping the Act on paper is not the solution.
Why not dedate why it has failed and can it be implemented effectively?
Does Nagaland have the required resources and the manpower to maintain NLTP ? In a year, how much resources, the state will need to implement such law? Etc etc...
Under matric theologian trying to preach the people. Drinker will drink, non Drinker will not drink whatever the situations. Don't u get it????
I don't drink but it's better to lift it because most of my friends and family are dead drinking adulterated alcohol
Wastage of development fund for 3days session with no out come😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
33:19 i can see someone is eating something so quickly😂
Kaka sada
If the NBCC is so concerned about liquor prohibition, does it have the guts and to excommunicate its members who are indulging in the sale of liquor and reject the financial contribution of bootleggers?NBCC should first' set its house in order.Enough of moral policing.
Just lift it . Stop this drama.
Khamo, we don't have source of revenue to develop NL..... A civilized society can't be stagnant like now but we need to move ahead.....
NBCC being a religious organization bound by its own moral ethics and principle is free to express its displeasure and go against it by opposing it. Since Indian Constitution is a secular Constitution let it be clear that government passed a popular and rational bill that is good for the general public especially for generation of economic sector. To drink or not drink alcohol be on individual choice... no need for debate as it will be endless views.
Minister, please speak clearly
Preaching in assembly, our official religion! (after consuming Pork) 👍
Nagas are already bankrupt because of the Act.Spurious liquor are expensive and poses more health hazard. Please help!🙏
From social point of view, what we are witnessing at present will likely to remain same even after revocation of Act.
NBCC is for nltp act yet too blind to see the number of alcohol shop bar and restaurant.NBCC is fighting a loss cause there will be always consumers and sellers.
Look like NLTP Minister in Nagaland.moatoshi
No need to discuss..everyone understand it .shld be left without any hesitation.
Even Adam and Eve failed to follow God's divine rule to not take a bite off the forbidden fruit. How could you even expect humans to follow a worldly law that forbids humans from consumption. No shit! The Act failed for a reason for 35 years.
The Act was passed in the year 1989, I was born in the year 1992 and my first drink was in the year 2008 (16 Years old). A 16 year old easily bought alcohol and had his first drink which cost him just 20 Rupees. So when the Total Prohibition was at its peak a 16 year old was buying a quartar of Rum for just 20 Rs. 🤔
There all talking about the economic improvement by lifting the nltp act ..but at the end of the day the after making it legal the profit will all end up in tre pockets ,since the ministers and all the tax and chor money if ours, the right to licence of selling will be in there power .
If you dont drink than you wont let us drink??? Thuii NBCC supporters…
