Mann... Erinnerungen an meine Kindheit.
Best one of these that ever existed used to be at Miracle Strip in Panama City Beach, Florida. It was a Trabant model similar to this, but inclosed in a building. The moment when the ride left the ground, the lights in room were turned off. Then when it got going really fast, a strobe light would kick in. Amazing!
Astroworld flashback time! They had one of these, and I don't know the name but I do remember that it was painted like a roulette wheel. Lot's of fun to ride!
There's a ride just like this where I live but it's called Wipeout. I went on it once. Can't remember if I loved it or hated it, but I do remember my heart was racing when I first got on it. Also, the Wipeout's cars have two seats facing each other.
I wonder why the ride assistant has to stay on the ride when it starts moving and also at the end. I remember that when I was a child, but nowdays health and safety regulations are very important. I fell in love with this ride the first time I saw it, and I still think that its movements are very elegant and hypnotic.
I haven’t seen this ride since the late 80’s or early 90’s. We used to have it at the youth fair in Miami and I went on it twice in different places. One time is went really fast and left you dizzy and I still recall the other time I went on it, it was super slow didn’t know what was wrong with it but it was not at its higher speed and it was like 6 minutes long and then did some type of brake in the middle just being idle and leaving you stranded and spinning in both directions while sideways and just being balanced switching clockwise and counter in a slow pace. It was a nuisance and boring. Disko/dancing fly is the more extreme version of this.
I feel an incredible nostalgia as I watch this. I used to ride this attraction as a kid, and I loved it.
