@rborroto Thanks! The GH1 is a great camera... I've been doing lots of photography lately (go figure!) and I'm very happy with the results. A few reasons why the GH1 camera is great are: 1) being able to shoot both in full HD mode (1080i, 24 frames) and standard HD mode (720p, 60 frames), smooth slow-motion with 60 frames capability, VERY long recording times (shot for over two hours straight on a 16gb SD card!), of course interchangeable lenses with all kinds of adapters, and much more! - Jacob
ha ha... yeah, I WISH I could've gotten this kind of picture with the HV30! Actually, Tyler, I seem to be following in your footsteps... it's a GH-1! After doing my own research, it seems that the GH-1 is the best "bang for your buck"! The Canon Mark II is just too expensive, and the professional HD video cameras are also out of my price range right now. I certainly haven't figured it out all the way, but I'm learning! This was my experimental video to see how the new cam does in low light...
Good looking stuff. I purchased a GH-1 late last year for the same "best bang for your buck" reasons. I originally wanted a Canon 7D but the cost was a bit much for me, and the media cards are double the cost of the SDHC cards for the GH-1. I've also started experimenting with old Nikon manual lenses that I've purchased on eBay (the latest is a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. Good luck!
Nice, now I know 3 people in town with this camera, including myself. It does pretty good in low light, keep your ISO at 800 and below you should be fine with the image. If you want some tips/tricks let me know....although, I'm still learning myself.
So you got the camera you wanted? Nice!
Yep! I really like how it looks, especially in low light (my other camera just doesn't look good in a dark room). More to come!

Nice job buddy! Dec 1st today, was looking on RUclips for something Christmassy and found this. Awesome
@DeShonDixonHD I got it locally here in Alaska... it's a pretty standard lens: Nikon 35mm f/1.8. You can find it online for about $100!

Hmmmm, I was looking at this thinking, wow, he's pulling an excellent image from an HV30.
Then I read the description, what DSLR did you get?
