I don’t ever watched these, but the commentary hooked me, Deathpunch became the Cinderella Dark Horse I was rooting for and next thing you know I’ve watched the entire event.
Never in my life have I watched an esports event, and would have never expected to be so invested as I got into this one. Bit too long for me to watch entirely but what I did watch was so enjoyable. I gotta say, big part of that was the commentators, they're soooooo so good man. Professional but genuine and honest, always letting the viewer know what is happening and making everything on the screen way more interesting with their insight, and contagiously enthusiastic and energetic. And to keep that energy going for 7h? You would think they on some hardcore Adderall amphetamine or something. Their job is not an easy one. You better keep them on the payroll and pay them good, they deserve it. I can't imagine this being 10% as entertaining without them, specially for a new viewer.

first time seeing a game event like this. would have left if i had not seen that ground game from deathpunch. but that piqued my interest as i thought it was a strikers tournament with most fights being similar as o one else really goes for the ground but man i got excited watching wrestling beat striking like it happens in real world more often than not. i watched it in parts but watched the whole event and love that eagle deathpunch's game. keep it up. also nice commentary which kept the more redundant fights interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching @deathpunch slaughter the competition. Absolutely amazing fights, and equally amazing commentary💯 (also I was rooting for JC to face Deathpunch in the final. Maybe next time)

Haven't played this one. Only EA UFC game i played was UFC 3. I was playing UFC 3 last year or something and I was fighting against Gaethje with Michael Johnson on pro. It was quite some time ago. Tough. It was a climb. I got comfortable and prideful I guess. Thinking that because I was comfortably winning at pro in other weight classes against other opponents with different fighters. I got humbled. I guess it's true what they say. Styles make fights. It was tough but that's what made it so satisfying when I finally adapted and evolved enough to beat him consistently.
I think this would be more entertaining if punches dealt more damage than they do. It seems a bit unrealistic the way it is now. Allot of these punches would be knock outs in real life, but in the game the fight just continues as if nothing happened. If punches dealt more damage the matches wouldn’t have to be so damn long like they are.

IMO the UFC 4 game play looks so enjoyable and realistic! This high quality 3D figure,motion and physics effect are way better than traditional FTG like VF or Tekken!

Now let me tell you how to fix this, let both of the platforms compete (set up the East and West League where one is Xbox and the other PlayStation) if the game doesn't have a spectator mode then work with the developers to make sure the next one does and finally make the price pools actually liveable, if you want two bit "fighters" then so be it but if you want actual dedicated athletes then you need to make a system where they can find support in this so they can just focus on becoming the best "fighter" they can be.

Conor was fighting on a fractured tibia before the fight even started , before Conor jumped guiliotine he was tuning Dustin up . Dustin landed some good ground and pound probably enough to swing the round 10-9 to his favorite at that point they get up and exchange and both miss straight lefts conor goes to reset his feet his ankle rolls and his leg snaps in half . That’s like saying Bret primus beat chandler when chandler had foot drop because he rolled his ankle , except conors leg snapped . So if you think the machine gun rabbit punches at the end actually had any barring on how the fight was actually going you’re laughably wrong . Dustin is unequivocally my favorite fighter but I’m not jealous of another man enough to act like arent 1-1 n need to run it back you absolute dork 😂

I disagree, I think the game is perfect in most aspects. I’ve gotten knockouts in 15 seconds so punches do damage if you time them right
