Idky but I feel like MW3 gets so overlooked compared to the rest of the franchise I absolutely loved this game the story felt like a satisfying ending, Soaps death was heartbreaking but it felt earned and the multiplayer was pretty damn fun

Im probably one of the few people who actually liked the part they didn't improved graphics that much from MW2, so I could run this with my old potato computer from back then lol. MW2 multiplayer definitely felt more stable than MW3's but MW3 had more fun mods. I don't think MW3 was really bad, just not as good compared to MW2.
I never actually played the multiplayer for MW3, but the campaign I feel like was the best in the series. And yeah, you're definitely right on point that it gave the trilogy a solid, if bittersweet ending.
What's interesting is that in the Modern Warfare trilogy the warfare was fought conventionally, with nuclear weapons always being a lurking threat. Zakayev launching missiles on America after the death of his son, Price blowing one up in orbit and causing an EMP blast to stop the Russians from winning the war in America, Makarov getting the launch codes from the Russian president and threatening to turn Europe into glass. These missiles had no nuclear warheads, still very powerful high explosives.
Given current events in Ukraine, especially with how poorly the Russian military has done against Ukrainian resistance, I’d say the Modern Warfare series grossly overestimated the Russian Military’s ability to go toe-to-toe with U.S. Armed Forces on American soil.

If we're being honest here, Russia never really could sustain an invasion past the Baltic countries and Ukraine. Even if we take them by Hollywood standards. China now knows it's the bigger dog. That alliance is gonna turn into an abusive relationship real quick.
Well, back then Modern Warfare needed a bogeyman and Russia has always been a classic choice. Now China is growing, it could make a perfect alternative bogeyman to Russia, but i doubt big gamemakers would dare upsetting China for fear of losing its market, that is if COD is even allowed in China.
You know this mission was the best when they showcased it on E3 before the release of this game. I do wish we got more unique missions like this in MW3 but the rocky development cycle didn't help for sure.

I actually ended up having to learn a lot more about Navy Seals and Delta Force to grow a proper appreciation of how awesome this mission is. Seeing a real-life joint operation between these two would be legendary.
If I’m not mistaken, SOCOM DEVGRU is a beefy collaboration of handpicked tier 1 operators from various branches. DELTA, MARSOC, GB’s and allegedly CIA SAD.
I like your gameplay, it's like a roleplay gameplay, you take cover, check the corners, walk with your ally and actually look around. Most top no commentary walkthrough channels just goes blazing and immediately run to the things that needs to be interacted with or door before the game even tells them, trying to just finish the game as quick as possible which is understandable but for non commentary videos they could've made it more entertaining with roleplay aspects like this.
It felt right actually to do military movements in any mil-shooter games, even though it's not mandatory at all and you only knew little of irl combat movements tactics

As a combat engineer I can tell you that you can definitely lose a few generals with out a sweat. All army's have more that they need because of political connection.

With millions of other equipment send for free and properly trained since 2014. This would never happen, even if the Russian Navy expanded their fleet. Ships wouldn't be that congested as it would put them all at risk to being sunk. Most likely the ships would stay out in the Atlantic in lob cruise missiles towards New York and would have to deal with US anti-ship missiles.
Quite average really. BF3, Crysis 2 and Far Cry 3 came at the same time and where way ahead. In MW3 they had a texture update from MW2 and gave it a gray filter due to the world war setting of the game.

I forgot how much gibberish this game had in it, despite how awesome it felt to play. At 2 mins in, when the enemy sub approaches from behind them, where did it come from lol? if you rewind you see that directly behind them is shallow, filled with docks and obstructions, and completely impassable to a submarine. Like, it would have to had slithered down off the land and crushed all the docks, drive through a sinking ship, and then, to top it off, a cluster of mines!!! Its just... sigh. Also every dead body in the opening sequence is the exact same, a dead guy and his 8 identical twins in business suits.
& there's no way a sub that large would get that close to the rocky shores of New York Harbor. One scrape from the rocks & it's the hull of the subs flooding in seconds

Totally unrealistic. Seals use rebreathers for these kind of operations. And they definitely won't use diver propulsion vehicles unless it's their exfil plan as well as entry plan. They also wouldn't detonate charges while they're underwater. I know an ex-diver once, who blew himself up by mistake because the detonation wire was stuck to his belt. He basically dragged the explosive with him, without even noticing. And before he got out of the water, he detonated the demolition charge (because he was confident that he did it right) and then the blast killed him, and it also flipped the RHIB.
For some that know...The US military or US intelligence agencies have microphones buried in the ocean floor.So,they know if ships or submarines are coming towards the US coast.They dropped these microphones back in the 70s and 80s,so this scenario on Russians ships and subs invading the US,could never happen.
I’m planning to go in the Military and the branch I’m planning to go into is the NAVY and the job I want is Spec Ops (SEALS) and as a Navy Seal I would work with the Army Rangers and these Delta Force and go on Missions with them but I would work with these guys as a Navy Seal

You're actually playing as a Delta/CAG (SFOD-D) squadron, this level. The SEALs are present assisting detonating the charges to surface the sub.

This was easily the most memorable mission for me in the Modern Warfare series
So after fighting through the whole sub, all you had to do was climb down a ladder that leads directly to the control room...
Everything about THIS was perfect. Right up there with all ghillied up.

And they definitely won't use diver propulsion vehicles unless it's their exfil plan as well as entry plan.
They also wouldn't detonate charges while they're underwater.
I know an ex-diver once, who blew himself up by mistake because the detonation wire was stuck to his belt. He basically dragged the explosive with him, without even noticing. And before he got out of the water, he detonated the demolition charge (because he was confident that he did it right) and then the blast killed him, and it also flipped the RHIB.

For some that know...The US military or US intelligence agencies have microphones buried in the ocean floor.So,they know if ships or submarines are coming towards the US coast.They dropped these microphones back in the 70s and 80s,so this scenario on Russians ships and subs invading the US,could never happen.

I’m planning to go in the Military and the branch I’m planning to go into is the NAVY and the job I want is Spec Ops (SEALS) and as a Navy Seal I would work with the Army Rangers and these Delta Force and go on Missions with them but I would work with these guys as a Navy Seal
