The disrespect and disregard of her reaching out to him in such a public way is astounding. Wondering if he thinks of you? I saw the facebook pics and plenty haven't been deleted on her childhood friend's pages like the ones with her partying barefoot with the red cups in her hand. I know things were rough at times but dwelling on your old hookup is a bad move and surely she knows cheating starts in the heart. Lovely song but the fact that you look back in a bittersweet way is such a terrible thing to do to your husband.

Great song but it is so weired and uncomfortable to listen how you romantisice your previous relationship especially when ur with new partner.. especially when you said u look is pictures here and then.. it's like ur reminiscing ur past..also every time u hear it u will be remember ur ex too.. it's like holding into ur past..no hate but if my partner does it i will be uncomfortable and make ke insecure... it's weird for me bcoz i started watching ur video early on and loved u guys so much 😢

I understand where you are coming from, but it does not sound like it was a bad break up or like she is regretful. More like a love that was not meant to last. She said his pictures pop up now and then... I wonder if it is because they have group photos? I hope no one would expect their partner to get rid of those because friend groups are meant to be cherished. We do not know all of the details... but it sounds like she just wants them to be happy. Like a friend you grew apart from, but if you think of them randomly you smile instead of becoming bitter or crying. No hard feelings, right? You are just glad for the time you had together, but that does not mean you would go back and change anything. She says they both found love. Maybe they realized they were better as friends but could not go back once they had dated. Who knows? I am just glad they both turned out fine. 😊

The end of the relationship could have been unresolved. 16 is a rough age for most people when it comes to love and breakups and friends moving away. I know Gabe is fully supportive of Jess and loves her voice - I remember when she never thought to release her own music because she was not confident in how it would be received. Gabe has been beside her every step of the journey. He fully supports the song. They are the ones married to each other, so as long as they are open and communicate with one another there should be no issue. Besides, if you look at the comments the song has helped many people. The ones who get it really appreciate it. There is absolutely no pressure for you to listen to this song - you need to follow your own convictions. We are all uniquely made and have our own battles. There is no shame if you cannot listen to this song with a clean conscience because of your past. Jesus is a Redeemer and works all things for our good. Nope. It’s weird & almost wrong to sing about in a reminiscent way about an ex love, saying you think about them & it definitely seems you miss them & it all gives an almost still love them vibe. It’s really awkward since you’re married now. He should be enough for you to not be wrapped up in thinking about a past love. If you end up thinking about him, maybe talk about it with Gabe, privately. Not proudly sing about it & make him, a past love, the focus on your very first song. Maybe one song out of a whole album, but the very first? Dedicated to him? Not God, not your baby, not your current Husband, but about a past love. 🤔
