  • Animal antibiotics are becoming harder to aquire. Recently, the FDA issued Industry Guidance #263, a ruling that all remaining over-the-counter “medically-important” veterinary antibiotics should be “transitioned” to prescription-only by June 2023. What does this mean for the hobby pet owner? Watch Dr. Joseph Alton, Co-Author of The Survival Medicine Handbook.

    I just tried to get penicillin for a sick kitten that has a upper respiratory infection. That 250ml bottle was 45 dollars an they wanted a script from the vet. Last time i bought any it was 10 dollars. Been a dairy farmer most of my life. Taken care of my animals on my own. Called vet when I needed them. An it's come down to calling the vet for everything. Total bologna ya ask me. Don't need no government telling me what to do or how to take care of my animals. The animals always come before me.

    I gave it out to all of my family members for Christmas.
    I ordered a “Jase Case” for myself and my wife, but they are quite pricey and we have a ton of medical bills piling up.
    I’m really hoping the fish antibiotics are not going to be heavily controlled by our awesome, freedom loving, fentanyl loving and open border enthusiasts in the government.
    😡
    I’m a volunteer firefighter and MICU paramedic and am honestly terrified of the future for the average US citizen.
    The tyranny is addictive and there’s no end in sight.
    Many of my friends who were paid firefighters and were assigned to the quite elite FDNY Rescue-3… were forced out due to the mandated experimental injection. Guys who survived the 9/11/2001 WTC attack and worked the pile of toxins for months without proper PPE. The EPA’s Christine Todd Wittman said the air was “ok”, so no respirators were supplied for WEEKS!
    Now that many of those brave folk are coming down with odd illnesses and rare forms of cancer, the city and federal government are missing in action. But their public health tyrants made sure they had to be protected from SARS China-Coronavirus #19. Now they’re dealing with illness AND searching for a new job.

I think this manufacturer made the Aqua brand. In the news, the FDA is going after 9 companies who supply fish antibiotics for OTC sales. They have to cease, or face legal issues.
    The following companies received warning letters: (Dec 14th article)
    American Aquarium Products
    Aquanest Biotic
    Aquarium Pharmacy LLC

    • @jilessain
      @jilessain Год назад +3

      Some meds have to be given in capsule form due to taste ,like Cephalexin. It's never been available as a tablet. It has a sulfer taste. Also, some meds could burn the esophagus and mouth,so the capsule protects the mucus membranes. Capsules usually come with an oxygen inhibitor in the bottle, so they don't stick together, so they last longer in storage than dry pills.

    • @jessicah3450
      @jessicah3450 Год назад +1

      The ones I've gotten are capsules so they can be opened and sprinkled in the aquarium. When I was treating actual fish, they were in a 5 gallon tank, whereas the capsule was for treating 10 gallons. It was easy to open the capsule and divide the powder inside in half.
      This could also be useful when trying to divide doses for children or other pets. Pediatric doses are usually determined by body weight mg of medicine per kg of person. For that reason, I'd suggest capsule for the emergency kits also.
