- After 11 years we finally had our dream Maldives honeymoon at Vilamendhoo Island Resort and Spa in the Maldives and it was absolute paradise.
It was everything we had hoped for and much much more.
Before we went I set out to make our Maldives 2019 holiday the best video I could possibly make, but truth be told for once I was actually living in the moment rather than recording it to watch it back later.
So I didn’t get half as much footage as I had hoped as I just kept forgetting to actually record!
What we have included though is some Vilamendhoo house reef footage, some Vilamendhoo drone footage, some Vilamendhoo Snorkelling and some general footage from around the most beautiful island.
Some of it is filmed on my GoPro Hero 7, I managed to actually get some Sony A6500 cinematic footage and I also filmed some of it with my new Mavic 2 Pro Drone!
A little disclaimer here if you are wanting to take your drone to Vilamendhoo Maldives in 2019, drones are now prohibited on the island and I got strict instructions in order to use it. So if we were to go back I definitely wouldn’t take it as I wouldn’t be able to use it.

I went to Vilamendhoo in November 2018 ! It was Amazing and i remember of everything watching de vidéo. It is an awesome travel that il will never forgive, i stayed 1 week and after 3 days i felt like at home .OMG

Ha no worries, when you check in they will say you can’t use your drones though.. This is at Vilamendhoo though but if you are going to a different island they may allow them 😀

Hey. Inspired by your videos I bought myself zhiyun crane. Asking for advice on lens selection. I understand that for shooting with zhiyin is not suitable for every lens, but only lenses with perfect autofocus? What lenses will suit me for shooting beautiful flights and runs around the subject? To avoid the need to adjust the focus manually. Thanks

Ah thank you so much... Of course, I mostly use After Effects but sometimes I use Premiere Pro, just depends on what sort of video it is... Thank you, I tried to calm down on the effects in this one and just tried to keep it simple! Ha I am still missing this place way too much, I would go back in a heartbeat xx

Thank you so much for watching... Unfortunately I no longer have the original clips from when we were there... I had major issues with some of my external hard drives a little while back and lost a fair amount of my files, including these ones!

Just found your channel and hot 15% of my new AER for my gopro 9 Black. Thing is I'm RUBBISH at editing videos had every odd number gopro, take photos with a FujiXT3 plus other gear but my video edits suck lol. Is there any chance of you showing how to do some simple edits. Loved this video it was like watch a professional video promo. Thanks. I use powerdirector 365, use Adobe lightroom and photoshop for my photos but cant get my head round premier pro lol
With PP the key to getting on with it is to keep practicing! So many people will use it every now and again but the key is to use it often and then it becomes easier 😀
@@whatalexdid bit like photoshop and lightroom. Just find video very hard. Was brought up with film cameras so photography is my main hobby. Just wish I could get my head round video. Yours are fantastic
@@DerekComer exactly the same as PS and LR 😀 All I did was watch a tonne of tutorials on RUclips, then I kept recording and experimented with the editing.. I did this day after day and still do now.. Just because I don’t upload much doesn’t mean I don’t keep practicing.. just keep doing it and then it will start to click, I promise you that 🙌🏻
Fantastic views! that's one the best cinematic videos I have seen. good transitions in your video. going through your description...its such a let down that they don't allow drones on the island. I am planning to go in July, but not so sure about the weather.

It was a shame, but apparently it’s all because all of the beach villas and water villas, the bathrooms are all open air, which makes sense having a drone ban in place.. We were always told November to April is the best time but the out of season months still apparently get some decent weather 😀
It's a blessing not a let down, people dont pay huge sums of money to go to a dream resort like vilamendhoo only to have inconsiderate people like you disturb the peace with fucking drones
