Traditional Pomo Tule Toys with Meyo Marrufo

This is a recording of our program "Traditional Pomo Tule Toys with Meyo Marrufo" held on February 20, 2021. Meyo discusses tule traditions and demonstrates how to make toys out of tule. If you want to try making the toys at home you would want to harvest some tule, let it dry for several weeks, cut it into pieces (a serrated knife works well), and soak it in water an hour before you want to make the toys.
