Not Rekkles remembering Baus doing the same thing to him in another game 😂 Bro is scarred for life. Baus is a menace, gotta love how out of the box his style/thinking is. A true wild card.
That short little snippet of review is actually super educational even for me. Whether I'll be able to apply it to my own gameplay is a whole nother story but it is really nice to know LOL.
I loved their first scrims day with Rekkles. it was Baussi on Sion @ 1/7 vs Aurora top @ 7/0, and yet Baus had a 300g gold lead vs an Aurora with a 550g shutdown.
Rekkles probably has to get extremely used to the teams playstyle with Baus. The idea of having 1 teammate create tempo for the rest of the team through deaths is probably never really used in pro play, and with laneswaps it's even stronger since you can just make the opponent very dizzy with the high tempo swaps
Feels like they have been experimenting more and more in scrims and farther away from their actual tourney comps. I think their comps will look alot better on stage.
I love that Rekkles being new is (naturally) like 'Let Baus die? I don't like it?' but the rest of the team are like 'Nah nah it's fine he's good!' 😂 It's actually great they're understanding and supportive of his style, and are building into it rather than raging over his KDA. I honestly believe their positive team mental is a huge buff in-game.
Actuall difference is that his teammates have brain. His playstyle works, hence why he is always chall. Caedrel was smart, dont want to change him, just adjust the teamplay for him, and he can shine.
@@rigogabi7778 I've been watching Caedrel for a while and have always known that he had good game knowledge. But I'm really surprised at how good of a coach he turned out to be. His shot-calling on support was so good it nullified his mechanical int and he really understands the Baus strategy well enough to incorporate it AND get the whole team to buy into the strat. Super impressive imo.
@@rigogabi7778 you gotta remember too, baus has never played with a real full team who all understand his strategy, most of his games are filled with pessimistic haters who rage after every one of his deaths and he still manages to win a lot of the games... I see a bit of bonus potential here, i am really curious if they can make it work.
yeah honestly Caedrel explaining macro is making me enjoy watching competitive league. I had been an ARAM player only for years but now I enjoy watching macro. Still won't play 5v5 myself but it's interesting

I feel like Baus is a master class mix of rank abilities. Pro level headedness, bronze aggressiveness, Challenger mechanics, and diamond map awareness. A cocktail that makes him basically unpredictable yet predictable at the same time. In otherwords he's just confusing to play around.
Honestly true... I swear his calls late game are just "I'm pushing top/bot", "they're all on me" and "*laughing after getting a kill/turret in a 1v3 collapse as his team is winning the game cross map*" Just his mechanics and mental is what puts him ahead of everyone who tries to copy his playstyle.
baus as a player is a fucking psycho. like dude legit thinks going in 1 v1 and 1 v 5 are the same thing. he has 0 care, fear or fucks to give which is how he ends up tier 2 or tier 3 proxying at min 6, or withh 10+ deaths at min 15 with 200 farm but also his mechanics and game understanding allow for that which result in increadible plays like that crazy galio 1v2. he is a great player but also a madmen,
I get the feeling that the more he plays the more Pro Teams will find strategies against these tactics. And it will be very interesting to see how they will in turn adjust to that
Yeah this is actually a point, the more you try to exploit your opponents the more you open yourself up to exploitation, and the returns on exploitation are WAY worse. This is why games like poker are played with GTO in mind
In the highest levels of competition being an outlier is extremely valuable, if you cause entire teams to change their way of playing just to deal with you and your strategy then you are always playing with an advantage. There is that old saying about not arguing with dumb people because they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience, Bauss is a similar example because even if other teams create specific strategies to deal with him those teams are going to have to either pull off those strategies from a purely theoretical situation or find someone that plays like Bauss in order to practice against those strats, but both options are hard to pull off or require a lot of resources. Plus Bauss has had to change his playstyle several times, since Riot target nerfs him and the guy is still able to get results against the best players in several servers, building strategies against a guy like that is way harder than it seems.
yeah but would pro teams dedicated their time to counter the strat that only one team uses. They have to spend time to counter a team that they might not even face in the playoffs. Los Ratones would surely be fun to watch on stage.
I like that baus makes the enemy team on a lose lose situation and this will test most of the teams "which choice will make us lose less?" and also baus value his champ really really low so he doesn't think death would have a huge impact for him and accepted how far he'll be behind but still manages to get his items later in the game. if toplanes actually practice this kind of mindset and put it in pro play. this will change lol esports forever we get to see champs that can actually proxy top and deny their match up some xp/gold
what they are doing is amazing and some of the most hype shit coming out of the league scene in a long time, i do hope they make it that far - but better take it one step at a time, i mean even if they reach the point where they can compete with the likes of those kinds of teams is something they can be proud of, even if they get battered the first time around can't underestimate the very top dog teams, they are on a whole nother level. the idea of LR beating even "just" a worlds team is super exciting, but there is more to accomplish along the way before then
@@ChilledoutDevil its not necessarily about them being that good, with the match vs T1 Doran is new to the team, they have an unknown sub for keria (it would have been rekkles before he left T1), and its for fun tournament that T1 likely wont be tryharding for. If they had zeus and keria, or T1 was tryharding, theres no question about who would win, but theres a very strange series of circumstances that at least make it a bit more competitive. It makes it much more exciting to watch tbh, just having a T1 stomp is predictable and boring against a content team like LR.
And the gold he gives is leveled because xin, ali and syndra can't do shit - farm, recall, run anywhere so it's completely worth. The thing is, if anybody else tried this they would just die because this crazy guy did it so many times he knows pixelpefcet where to stand to buy the most time.
I actually think that he is the best lane management skills in the world. Hyperscale camps, leaves no minions to enemy for making a play. Continuously pushed top and bot lanes. Making game winning plays, and making everybody smile. Even if you are the enemy player, he will make you smile. The only thing is that their teammates did not understand how good he actually is yet. Most of the times they think they know better how to manage the lanes. He should talk more about what he expect from his teammates to do.
Agree 100 - they don't trust his calls yet, and often don't follow him into strange or out-there plays that would work out if they did. But that will come with time and experience.
If some of team member would start play more around Baus for sure they will win more. Baus creates so much opportunities which too often no one is taking for gaining more advantage instead quite often that opportunity is taken by enemy and Baus dies.
It’s a shame the game vs T1 is so early for this team. Give them a couple of months and I honestly think that they could be competitive against t1. Baus plays the game in such a unique way I think it would mess up top tier pro teams
Honestly, they might still have a chance, professional teams don't do so well against unconventional strategies, remember how a Mexican team like a year ago was putting up a fight against, I think T1, despite having so little pro play experience that they didn't know how to counter lane swaps? It's going to be interesting how they deal with Bauss, especially when Koreans have the fight, fight, fight mentality so ingrained in their playstyle which can be exploited by Bauss and his teammates.
I hope they just keep up the fun and not get to serieus (i get why ans how lec is(became) more serieus) but this is so much more fun!!!! its like this is how the game should be played, having fun doing insane stuff
