Working-class communities have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, with many struggling to feed themselves and pay rent. Catering company Gingko House, which operates several restaurants in Hong Kong, started the fook faan or “fortune meals” programme in 2017. The restaurant emphasises giving people food options regardless of their financial situation, by serving a variety of dishes.Today, with help from donors and volunteers, it provides the elderly, low-income and struggling individuals with nutritious cooked meals, every day of the year.

I'm in awe that they're using legit containers. Not some cheap plastic to go container.
It seems the regulars are returning the used containers for reuse. It is my guess based on the container in the plastic of the lady as she enters and of the man putting at least two containers back before the 10sec mark.
Dont worry, Honh Kong is one of the most advanced cities of the world.

When you put together kind people who can provide something with those who need provisions then amazing things happen.
It's amazing how small stores can do this kind of thing in the pandemic yet mcdonald's or other big chain restos can't even keep their staff.
Because small stores are not business, they are very personal

Hk is the only Chinese territory that has many homeless people. It's crazy to see how the table has turned
Some of them are wealthy and are obsessed with savings, most old people in Hong Kong aren't really poor, they just choose to live that way, the real poor are invisible, there are countless of teens who are penniless, working hard for their family and gave all their income to rent, ripping them of their potential and future.
