My skull was my reward for winning the marathon world championships in 2010, my triangle on my hand reminds me to keep moving forward and make progress, and my turtle/Pura Vida tattoo on my leg is a reminder of my amazing time in Costa Rica :)

- Why aren't you training for kayaking anymore? - I see new opportunities everyday, I'm just grabbing them as they appear and keep working hard, right now that's RUclips & Film. I'm happy I made the change!
- How long do your vlogs take to edit? - They vary massively, sometimes 1 hour sometimes 6+

British Columbia has amazing ski resorts as well! BigWhite, Sunpeaks, and Whistler to name a few. Its called Beautiful British Columbia for a reason :)
Nicole is a natural, she actually has a much cleaner technique than Steve, keeping her hips in line with the board and not counter-rotating.

Ben I have grown up around these mountains my entire life but through these vlogs, you have opened my eyes to how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place that I think we often take for granted. Thank you!
Nicole just says the best things that make me laugh. I love her subtle humour. LIke when Ben was asking if she preferred skiing or snowboarding. "There's no such thing as a life choice like that." If someone else just said that, it just would not be funny. hahahha

Some tips that might help Nicole as a beginner snowboarder, even though she's doing amazing now, would be to put the majority of her weight on her front foot and that way she can easily move her back foot from side to side to carve better, and point your front hand in the direction you want to go and then you will go that way!

Snowboarding vlogs are my favorite type of videos! I'm heading to Pine Knob (in Michigan) tomorrow to snowboard, but I wish I had a GoPro to record it on.

From my rough calculations we got our kit for about half the price of at home, well worth it considering how much I've fallen in love with snowboarding!
***** Ah, the exchange rate! The pound sterling is up about 30% against the Canadian dollar in the last year. The US dollar is up about 25%. So the British and Americans currently have it good in Canada, and for Americans it's just across the border!

I am dying to ski in Canada now! Looks amazing with all the trees. In NZ there are a lot of rocks to avoid plus you have to know the safe zones for lahars/eruptions because I ski on an active volcano

Rookies...haha You looked like me 10 years ago when I had no clue about boards and just bought whatever the "experts" told me to at that moment. Or encouraged what I (who had no clue about boards) thought was "cool." I ended up going through 4 boards, 3 bindings, 4 pairs of boots, and pretty much 3 pairs of "clothes/helmets" before I learned my lesson, and did my own research about boarding equipment. Sorry, I don't mean to pick on you...but you always seem to buy things on a whim. Not that I can judge. :P

Wow that actually looks amazing. I just finished 2 weeks of skiing in France! If you ever go to France go to Val D'isere or Mariebel both amazing places!! I've never been to Alberta but it looks nice as well. Another Canadian place you should check out is Whistler/Blackcomb in BC.
