When i was a teenager i used to dream of having countless sneakers. Now in my late 20's i only have 4 pair of shoes that are versatile to wear with every outfit. As you grow mature in life, you realize that owning more materialistic stuff that depreciates in value ain't gonna bring any real happiness.

my brother great mindstate BUT many of these sneakers appreciate in value overtime. He just told you the carpet has increased thousands of dollars in value while its literally been sitting on his floor. Not all sneakers go down in value.

IYou could be a billionaire and be married to Priyanka Chopra, and will still manage to eventually be discontent because it's in human nature to never be satisfied. That's why we as a species are so advanced. We didn't stop at the first iPhone or the first TV or first computer or the first skyscraper. Our brain is always looking for problems to solve and do better.
@@ocuyo6044 Happiness comes from only 3 things in life : Experiences, Charity/Helping Others and Buying Time. Human needs are limited, Human wants/desires are unlimited. Less stuff is less stress, the fewer material possession you have, the less you need to worry about paying, maintaining, repairing, insuring and protecting. Most people don't ask these questions to themselves before spending their hard earned money which is bought by time and energy (Needs vs Wants, Cost Per Use, Urgent or Not, New or Used).

After seeing this video I totally get the "Eat the rich" sentiment. He talks big game about how his used shoe is good for the environment, meanwhile each pair cost more than the annual salary of an average man in India, sometimes 2x 3x

Jz coz he is not doing movies doesn't mean he is not doing anything. These people have many source of incomes. They do have successfull businesses. That's the case with most of the star kids.

Dude has over 200 pairs. Conservatively average price is around 5 lacs (average). That’s almost 10 Crore + worth of shoes in there. Nice hobby. Not to disrespect the amazing collection, I wish everyone could have a hobby like this.

Average price is not even close to 5 lacs. There are only 15-20 pairs that are above 3 lacs. And he got almost 30pairs of converse that are even below 10k. So maybe you don't have shoes knowledge or maybe you're weak in maths

Awesome closet tour. But Vedant should have asked about Harsh’s aspiration to start a label, which he spoke about in a recent interview. Harsh would bring a lot a of global influences and merge a local aesthetic and it would be an interesting project. Movies are cool man but this is your true calling. Good luck!
In that interview he also shared how his parents have no interest in paying for his shit and he makes his own money. I don’t believe it.

This has inspired me... I started working last year (I'm 22). I have slowly clawed my way upto 20 sneakers (mostly AF1 - colorways, Jordan 4s/5s, Air Max 90s etc.)... and let me tell you they bring me unprecedented joy. Great closet Harsh!

Your collection reminds of my story… as a kid I was always in love of diff types of sneakers shoes boots etc … I was in Bombay so the weather did not give me to try real boots etc … once I settled down in the US I had 100 plus shoes … I had all the brands from Dr Martin’s to Timberland to formal’s by the best Italian ones … but ten years ago I changed my life style to a minimalist so now I have maybe hardly 10 pairs ☺️

I am a sneaker head my self but it's a nice hobby you fall in love with each pair of shoes you buy but the biggest con is that sneakers do age even though you never wore it once . After couple of years let's say 5-10 years period the sole will be starting wearing off, pasting gets weak , white turns yellow and synthetic part of the shoes starts pealing off . I have lost couple off pairs my self because of aging and worn them only couple of times and kept them really secure but still . So I would say keep only 20-30 pairs if you are crazy about shoes at a time and use them unless you don't replace them. For normal people even 5 pairs are more than enough.

I've been very fortunate to be living in the US for almost 8 years, especially being from a middle class family. I had never purchased a pair of Nike's before I moved to the US, and now I own all the Jordan retros, including the classic Red Black White Jordan 1s, which will always be my favorites. It's like a disease. Lol.
