Here’s my explanation for this AU. It looks like that in this timeline Alastor murdered Valentino placing Angel Dust in charge of his empire. Probably by forming an alliance with Carmilla Carmine. Alastor’s little minions are running around seemingly defending his radios and smashing tv’s. Plus if he’s formed an alliance with Carmella Carmine that makes sense she is the biggest weapons manufacturer and defeated Vagie and an exorcist in a fight. So Alastor and Carmilla kill Valentino and Velvet. They then form an alliance with Angel Dust giving him Valentino’s empire. Alastor then solo fights Vox and damages him pretty badly, but Vox escapes and eventually takes up residence in the hotel planting tv’s across the city where Alastor’s minions don’t seem to be able to touch them. He places a massive screen on the side of the hotel. Alastor heavily damaged Vox but he slipped away and now that Vox is at the hotel with Charlie Alastor can’t hurt him without starting a war with the royal family. That’s my explanation for this AU.
I like to think that whatever the *thing* in Vox's screen is, it's kinda his version of Alastor's broadcast of screams. Instead of it being a bunch of voices, its a bunch of the _faces_ of the past overlords Vox killed.

Imagine this was actually what happened all those years ago. Alastor retaliated to Vox by singing this, but with the other overlords and not angel (who could possibly be Zestial) and when Alastor starts breaking up, it's really him fleeing to prepare for the next battle, 7 years later. Vox, in victory, sings "I'm gonna make you wish that I'd stayed gone" meaning "I'm going to make you wish you accepted/I'm gonna make you wish that I moved on" This would be awesome if they reprised this song in the show like more than anything to show more of their backstory
Probably it's because of this Vox's face looks like the face of a dead man broadcasted on television: a dead man...that somehow still speaks...and he's geinming right at you.
Your art is SO GOOD OMGGGG- I love how even with the swap, you still keep their original features while having the energy of the other person. AMAZING WORK ON THIS! Each scene is so beautifully drawn!
I like to imagine alastors outburst just mutes the pride ring and Vox did the singing but for the sinners of hell it was just images of him becoming more more intimidating
I could see this as an alternate timeline where it was Vox that was the Hotel's host. Seeing how this Vox interacts with original Alastor would be interesting
1:09 It took me a long time to realize that Vox was most likely using chromakey, while Alastor blew up several buildings outside the window, after which he looked at these destructions with a satisfied look.
I gotta say that I LOVE the redesign of Vox and Alastor, especially Vox. Other people completely swapped their powers- make Vox old school and Alastor techy but this is different and very interesting!! The comments say that Alastor is stubborn and sticks to the past, but new technology is growing. This fits well to why he's so upset about Vox returning. This was really good, instant subscribe
At 1:50 i think using the words “ Your looking at the peak , he’s the decline after that “ would also work since radio hosts would often make false predictions about the future of TV and radio . Al thinks Vox is worse and radio hosts often said that TV would be just a fad and people would return to the good ol radio . Sorry if i rambled , i just thought it might work better
The kicker is this must've actually happened in some capacity. The radio used to be dominant then the TV came barreling in and took the spotlight. At some point in the past, Alastor WAS in charge, and Vox DID come take attention. I wonder if the roles ever were actually reversed like this? I want to see HH portray their history during the show 😁
I love swapped Vox's design!! It doesnt have have anything displayed on his screen until he plugs in his wires into the aux port (those are what they're called right)
I’m not typically a fan ai covers, but the art in this video is really good! This is so much better than others ppls videos that just slap a picture of a characters face ontop of another characters face and call it a day. (And yes, I’m aware you didn’t make this cover)
Not going to lie, but I really like this "full version" of this video; something about seeing the two awesome animatics combined into one take makes it run so much smoother and its impact isn't ruined by adds going between videos, lol! On top of the hella tight cover art for video, I love seeing all of the small details: Angel Dust and Carmilla Carmine's "oh, shit" looks when Vox mentions them, seeing Vox flip the switch on TV and the results that Alastor suffered (as well as his "deer in headlights" expression), and Vox's full demonic face showing up on his cracked screen. You've definitely got me excited to see the next full version and any other insights on your RoleSwap AU!
This dynamic goes hard as hell. Alastor is a man whos obsessed with the radio and everything from his era, he refuses to change instead hes enough of a narcissist to make everything change for his sake. Hes a fool, albeit a very powerful fool which is what makes him perfect, hes messy and easy to tip off (possibly because all the power got to his head now hes gotten rusty). Meanwhile Vox is well composed and calm, possibly since he was humbled by alastor he got smarter and matured. Its a perfect contrast, and vox clearly has an upperhand as he is using the superior medium. They say you can get glued to your tv and in hell that is literal, vox can bombard his viewers with propaganda to entice riots, bombard them with dopamine fueled content to keep them glued, he can literally control the socio-economic state in hell to his advantage. Its literally lesser evil being replaced with much more greater evil, which is so cool that vox is an actual villain. I dont understand why alastor is being redconned in the original series, it was cool to have a vile villain work together with a lawfully good protagonist striving for the same goal but with two very different intentions.
Why does Vox design make him feel more imposing than he does with his original design. Maybe because we can't tell what he's expressing similar to how Alastor smile doesn't show how he's feeling. That's literally because he isn't connected to anything so he's legit "Off" but then he pulls up with that FACE immediately when he turns on and MY GOD that is terrifying! I also love how Vox's screen is damaged since in canonically Vox did have a Fight against Alastor, however this Vox didn't upgrade or fix himself. It honestly gives his design more history towards it and I kinda like it more than the original design.
I feel like Swap Vox’s channel’s would broadcast TV shows and novels, except the cast would be the overlords he killed, being forced to do endless episodes for never ending shows/novels.
Holy fuck, this was AMAZING!!! I’ve seen people try to switch these 2 before, but it’s never worked before, but you totally did it! And Vox’s face was TERRIFYING!!!!! It reminds me of the art from Scary Stories to Tell in Dark! And waiting til the end to show it was genius!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!
I love the characters new designs you made (Angel Dust as Valention?! This is so cool!) And I love the way you adapted the song to match them and not just swap their role as "voice" but also as character in the show! Don't know if it is clear but I loved it!! 👏
My idea for the exchange between Ángel and Valentino would be that in this story they both had basically the same background, each with the same role, but at a certain point in this AU, Ángel was contacted by his family's mafia, who were able to save him . in exchange for replacing his gangster brother and his father, who would have died on some random mission (perhaps trying to loot one of Carmilla's warehouses (well, Carmilla's exchange)), he, with all the disgust and self-loathing for feeling desperate to the point of returning to the life he once wanted to escape, he would only accept the offer, total, worse image of himself he could no longer have, and at least then he would have enough power to crush Valentino (Who in this world despite being a Supreme, there is no VVV and it does not have the power that the program has at all). Thus he would be named the new boss of the mafia and as soon as he took control he would destroy Val's business and even reverse the contract that united them, now having control of his former abuser. Decades later, with the AAA already existing and reaching the present, Val barely escaped alive from the mistreatment that Ángel subjected him to, treatment even worse than the one he was once subjected to, completely immersed in ruin, not knowing what to think of himself. same. by pure chance he would end up colliding with Adan and Lute (Or with Vox, which could be even better). I know this ruins the entire message that Val and Ángel represent, but it seems more violent to me to change the roles of abuser and abused than to create a different story. I leave the idea here, the truth is that I was passionate about writing it.
Ngl, Vox's clear voice is as intimidating as Alastor's, but in a way that he will manipulate you and pull your strings without you even realize it, his voice is just like you typical guy and then everything is too late
The human face STUCK in pain behind the glitching of Vox's face is amazing, super terrifying design and I'd say even scarier than big teeth Full Demon Alastor, because he's not gonna hurt you, he most likely can't since he's only in a screen, but he WILL MESS WITH YOUR HEAD.
i love that this vox has broken screen. it's almost the equivalent of alastor's permanent smile. both uncanny. both illegible. and most of all, both unsettling =) excellent representations in this animation👍🏽
Pretty good! I just would've made the line "you're looking at the past" -> "you're looking at a classic." It just has some better flow and is less comical in its delivery.

Alastor heavily damaged Vox but he slipped away and now that Vox is at the hotel with Charlie Alastor can’t hurt him without starting a war with the royal family.
That’s my explanation for this AU. Did I get it right? 🙂
2:17 "I'm afraid you lost your signal" I LOVE IT❤
Dude……that vox face its so freaking scary
wonder how he got his screen crack
@@cyan332 I can answer that….since our last fight I left him pretty injured
I love the detail of the Hotel building being much more organized because Vox did it
XD I know right😂
I love vox’s new design
The music is also cool
I love how in the one bit where Alastor is talking to himself his shadow resumes drinking coffee while Alastor goes back to singing.

Imagine this was actually what happened all those years ago. Alastor retaliated to Vox by singing this, but with the other overlords and not angel (who could possibly be Zestial) and when Alastor starts breaking up, it's really him fleeing to prepare for the next battle, 7 years later.
Vox, in victory, sings "I'm gonna make you wish that I'd stayed gone" meaning "I'm going to make you wish you accepted/I'm gonna make you wish that I moved on"
This would be awesome if they reprised this song in the show like more than anything to show more of their backstory
One thing I like to imagine is Vox showing the overlords he slaughtered faces on his tv head instead of making others hear their screams.
2:34 WHY WAS THIS GENIALLY UNSETTLING TO ME?
Your not the only one
@@Alastortheradiodemon529 heya buddy
Probably it's because of this Vox's face looks like the face of a dead man broadcasted on television: a dead man...that somehow still speaks...and he's geinming right at you.
Your art is SO GOOD OMGGGG- I love how even with the swap, you still keep their original features while having the energy of the other person. AMAZING WORK ON THIS! Each scene is so beautifully drawn!
Thank you, I really appreciate your words.
2:35 I love this so much. I wish the show itself got this disturbing. the fact too he's faceless until this part--chef's kiss
Is it just me that thinks the face image for vox is reminiscent of the bay-verse Megatron mouth and creep factor?
I like to imagine alastors outburst just mutes the pride ring and Vox did the singing but for the sinners of hell it was just images of him becoming more more intimidating
I could see this as an alternate timeline where it was Vox that was the Hotel's host. Seeing how this Vox interacts with original Alastor would be interesting
Alastor got that hair cut bro
In addition to being unpredictable, this vox has an imposing presence, as if everything he does or says is absolute law.
I just woke up from a long nap and now im watching this instead of actually waking up and im over here with my mouth as dry as the desert
1:09 It took me a long time to realize that Vox was most likely using chromakey, while Alastor blew up several buildings outside the window, after which he looked at these destructions with a satisfied look.
Full version let’s go!
"He'd be powerless without the other As!" (Alastor, Angel Dust, Armela) 🤣
My friends face when he tries to rizz me: 0:18
I gotta say that I LOVE the redesign of Vox and Alastor, especially Vox.
Other people completely swapped their powers- make Vox old school and Alastor techy but this is different and very interesting!!
The comments say that Alastor is stubborn and sticks to the past, but new technology is growing. This fits well to why he's so upset about Vox returning.
This was really good, instant subscribe
Alastor: he'd be powerless without the other Vee's
Val and Velvette: *Smiles in ego*
Meanwhile Angel and Carmilla: *Ew-*
At 1:50 i think using the words
“ Your looking at the peak , he’s the decline after that “ would also work since radio hosts would often make false predictions about the future of TV and radio . Al thinks Vox is worse and radio hosts often said that TV would be just a fad and people would return to the good ol radio .
Sorry if i rambled , i just thought it might work better
Finally a full version of this beautiful mashup!
This is beautiful and awesome
The kicker is this must've actually happened in some capacity. The radio used to be dominant then the TV came barreling in and took the spotlight. At some point in the past, Alastor WAS in charge, and Vox DID come take attention. I wonder if the roles ever were actually reversed like this? I want to see HH portray their history during the show 😁
I absolutely love Carmilla's design!
I love swapped Vox's design!! It doesnt have have anything displayed on his screen until he plugs in his wires into the aux port (those are what they're called right)
i like how you used the nun costume from hells greatest dad
Wow it’s animated and the lyrics are somewhat changed instead of just swapping voices
I can't get over how cool Vox's design is here
1:36 Is the big buff cyclops in the middle with the mustache, overalls, and R hat a reference to Rabbid Mario?
Have some ben 10 aliens here too
I’m not typically a fan ai covers, but the art in this video is really good! This is so much better than others ppls videos that just slap a picture of a characters face ontop of another characters face and call it a day.
(And yes, I’m aware you didn’t make this cover)
0:43 THE LIL DEMOS JUMPING ON THE ROOF ARE A VIBE I'M HERE FOR
You will make a full version of "you did't know"?
The fact he sent a demon into the crowd to show them the TV head, Alastor goes hard this time
I love how for his demonic form or what ever is called his screen turns on and theres a broken section on his screen cause its cracked and broken
1:27 "Hello hazbin, good to be back on the screen"
So satisfying 🤩
AU swap 11/10 definitely would enjoy seeing the main versions battling their AU counterpart

The Vox face reveal is actually terrifying. Good job.
I like to think Swap Vox shows the picture of the overlords he's tormenting.
1:02 great references point
The face on box in the ending was uh. Unsettling to say the least
If Alaster was stuck in the past not liking the new gen tech and vox had the idea of actually moving on to new technology
If Vox were really like this, he would be my favorite character.

Lmao Vox swapping with Alastor is too funny. I'm Guessing Valentino is in Angel Dust's shoes.
Alastor calling Vox "skibidi" is something I never knew I needed.
This is so good
2:00 Love how the static is the Ace flag.

@@TheDarkOfDayDueLight I think someone is reading too much into the 3 squiqqly lines
The human face STUCK in pain behind the glitching of Vox's face is amazing, super terrifying design and I'd say even scarier than big teeth Full Demon Alastor, because he's not gonna hurt you, he most likely can't since he's only in a screen, but he WILL MESS WITH YOUR HEAD.
i love that this vox has broken screen. it's almost the equivalent of alastor's permanent smile. both uncanny. both illegible.
and most of all, both unsettling =)
excellent representations in this animation👍🏽
AMAZING! Hope you do Respectless next 🤩
Pretty good! I just would've made the line "you're looking at the past" -> "you're looking at a classic." It just has some better flow and is less comical in its delivery.
vox singing alastor's lines is just so good
