Tanabe seems like a boss that knows what to do. He has worked on very good games giving them supervision and advice. For God's sake, he's the producer of the best trilogy in the history of video games (Metroid Prime) and that's saying a lot.
So it was Tanabe who made the call for the Boost and Spider Guardian to be tough as hell lmao. But I don’t mind them too much when on the other hand you get the greatest boss fights in the trilogy in the form of Quadraxis, Emperor Ing, etc.
With replay value of the original Gamecube versions, I increased appreciation of Boost and Spider Guardians. Tanabe was a genius. They should’ve kept it difficult in the trilogy.
The Windmill Hills in DKTF bit. To those that say Nintendo doesn't have big enough production values in their games, THAT is what truly sets Nintendo apart. If something just isn't quite working, even at a late stage of development, Nintendo is willing to polish it to perfection. Keep your fivebillion lines of spoken dialogue. I will always take that focus on playability over anything else.
I'm happy with Tanabe decision on the Turbo Guardian. It was hard, on hard, but it was satisfying to beat it. Two of the best boss come from Metroid, that and Raven Beak. It's not cheap, it's not bad, not unfair. It's not bad gameplay, not bad design. It's a good boss, fair but hard. That's why Dark Souls is disappointing: it's not fair, it's not good mechanics, not good gameplay. It's badly assembled.
To be fair Miyamoto has placed very arbitrary restrictions on the Paper Mario series such as all Toads having to look the same or little to no original characters like Madame Flurrie.

@@DanielMazahreh oh hey I’ve seen you 😂
I actually appreciate the original boost guardian, I wish metroid had more challenging bosses like that lol

Damn, Tanabe fell hard.
That's what you got from the interview?
He fell
All this sounds like to me is an incompetent boss. Which makes sense since paper Mario is horrid atm.

Reading your comment, all this tells me that you're a complete and utter moron. Which makes sense.

I think you are getting Tanabe confused with Takashi Tezuka
Tanabe is reason why Prime bosses sucks
Ño
Prime 2 has the best bosses in the series easily
That’s because you suck at the game.
@@linkfreak404 Spider Guardian is an incredible boss. Go replay Echoes.
You dont seem like you played the trilogy at all
