It was quite the challenge! No only to preserve everyday but to drag around a camera and record and spend hours editing. I too am so happy to be doing other projects. But what’s great accomplishment preserving so much. It will be put to good use. Onto other projects.

@@modernhomesteadalaska isn’t it amazing the things we just do and then wonder how in the world did we do it?! I think back to when I was raising my two babies and going to school full time and looking after them in the evenings and doing homework etc etc and have no idea how in the world I managed it but I made it through somehow and now viola I’m a grandma and thank God my daughter was smart enough to pick an amazing man to have children with and he’s not only a fantastic mate but an equally awesome father so her life is completely different from mine not easier just different. I love helping her and trying to be the best grandma I can be. It’s such an incredible blessing and I pray I live long enough to see my granddaughters walk down the aisle with their chosen men! You can purchase a cow/cattle scratching brush it’s attached to a pole or you could attach a janitors broom (w wood base) to the pole.

Great job Jessica. It’s so cute. Here at our place we call caulking the great Canadian cover up. We use it on everything. Hahaha great job on the barn 🌷🇨🇦

You can always put brushes 😮on the post near the barn so she can rub up against them( like the scrub brushes used on floors back in the day
@@tammysmith7345 that’s exactly fly what I was thinking! Put some shop brushes on a post and angle them different directions like walk under one, rub agains one so on

Get one of those big round car wash brushes, maybe some that are used that they are replacing, for her to scratch her entire body. What a happy little Peaches she would be.

They actually sell cow barn brushes that are are automatic and spin for cows to enjoy.

Did you ever consider having a set of doors on the back of the barn, that a small tracker could fit through, for easier barn clean out, etc? Maybe one of those sliding big barn doors?
No the way the land is on the barn wouldn’t accommodate that without taking out more forest

I have had to cancel my plans to emigrate to Alaska; apart from my arthritis with th cold- when you mentioned SPIDERS- sorry that was the straw that broke the camels back; so I am sad to say I will not be your new neighbour

@modernhomesteadalaska I don't rember what but my uncle in idaho used to give them something for winter the dairy across the hiway did it too but idr .she's soooo cute I just want to hug her n take a nap with her lol in high school Iwas on front page of the Los Angeles times or orange county register newspaper of me sleeping on one of my pigs I was showing if I can find it I'll send u Pic. my grandma got newspaper del daily n I went to visit n there it was lol n her friends from church saved the page as well lol
